Thing once knocked out Namor who was weakened by Torch's flame when he had Captain America's shield.

How would Thing fare today, against Hercules?

Well Human Torch isn't around to help thing out so I say Hercules.

The shield will be useless. For god's sake the shield will just barely cover Thing's hand.

No, it's bigger than that. If Ben can get Herc to tire himself hitting the shield, which will absorb all impacts, then he has a good shot at a K.O. But Herc has legendary stamina, so it can go either way.

Just get Liefield to draw the shield, and it will be the size of a 6 foot person.

Herc's extremely skilled up close. If he gets within grabbing range, I don't see Ben surviving, assuming Herc's in "tear his ***ing head off" mode. From range, however, Thing could do a whole crapload of damage with a shield throw. Namor owned the bajeebus out of Giant Man with it. A good solid hit and a well executed finishing plan could give Ben the victory.

Still, Herc 6/10. Without the shield, I'd say 8/10.
