Jobber auras are an combination of PIS, CIS and SvFL, it's when characters whose don't have nearly enough power or skill take out characters who are better then they are in nearly every category. Examples, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Batman. Post pictures of them and others defying logic and possibilites here...

I start with:

Captain America.

Man who makes the impossible possible.

By impossible, I mean defeating people who are better then him in every possible category, with only fancy martial arts, peak human attributes and indestructable shield. His amazing jobber aura.

I have one occasion. Here is Cap taking out N2, a clone of Namor made by Sinister. The clone took out Namor and Human Torch before, I'll post the whole fight here:

Cool fight, but Cap taking out a guy who is as fast and strong as Namor? no

Go on, post some jobber aura pics. laughing out loud

Cool artwork, very moody...but the jobber is in full swing, yes.
Maybe it's time to take the wings off Namor's ankles; he's a mutant, just say he has some level of telekenesis that makes him fly.

I don't want them to take off the wings...it is the most unique power in comicdom. smile

But it would be good if they went by this theory:

Was it necessary to start another jobber aura thread for this?

I can grasp the "aura" part. But why "jobber"? Cuz they're "doin' the job"? (of beating foes they shouldnt be able to).

Although not to an extreme extent as Batman or Wolverine, it seems lately (IMO) that Wonder Woman has been glowing a bit with jobber.

Swanky-Tuna
It comes from pro wrestling. When one wrestler is written to lose to another the losing wrestler is said to job to the other. Someone who seems to always lose is a jobber.

interestin'. thanx

All right, I can agree with that idea.
Of course, the current Giffen/Dematties mini of Defenders has the wings loudly flapping - part of their funny humour style. big grin

Back to jobber scans - someone come up with Batman vs. Hulk crossover ( just...ridiculous!)
