I think that Clark should become Superman during the show, and maybe it could go on for a few episodes afterwards. You know, to see how he gets accustomed to being a hero. During those few episodes, he could shuttle back and forth between Smallville and Metropolis, and in the last episode EVER he could finally move to Metropolis in the classic, nerdy Clark Kent disguise.
