Indeed. In some countries this anime/manga is called "the knights of the zodiak", while in the US, UK and some others, is called "Saint Seiya".
This is one of the first succesfull animes exported by Japan to other countries. It is from 1986, and has lead the path for many recognized animes as Dragon Ball and Yu Gi Oh (or whatever..).
Saint Seiya stands out for its unique plot. Many subsequent animes that are very succesful right now in the US, have copied in some extent, the animation style, characters, plot and/or mythological sense of Saint Seiya, and I don't hesitate to affirm that many of those animes are CRAP compared with Saint Seiya, regardless of their popularity.
Saint Seiya' story is divided in "Sagas": "galactic tournament", "phoenix and the black knights", "The silver saints", "the battle of the 12 houses", "Asgard", "Poseidon". The first ´part of the Hades Saga, was released in Japan last year and I have read that it is even better than the original TV sagas. The 2nd part of the Hades Saga will be realeased on early 2006. After that, they will do the final saga "Heaven" or "Zeus", where the bronze saints will fight Zeus himself. Can't wait to see it....

My pick for # 3 is Andromeda, since his storm seems powerfull enough to beat both Dragon and Swan. His chains also give him a great advantage
Seiya is just too fast for all of them, probably the only exception is Phoenix, even if Seiya could beat him, he is immortal and would come back to life for more fighting.
Dragon is one hell of a contender but all skilled enemies end up discovering his weakness sooner or later.
Swan is great, but his attacks seem to work better against other Ice warriors.
