John Stewart vs. Guy Gardener vs. Alan Scott vs. Hal Jordan vs. Kyle Rayner..........

rayner....if he was much more experianced....(I had to at least give props) but in the current setting....hal would mop the floor with them

It all comes down to Hal and Alan

Hmmm. I think Guy, Hal, Alan are first to go. Then it comes down to John vs Kyle.

Guy is second behind Hal when it comes to will and hes the most confident of them all. Theyd make it an option not to keep him around. Same goes for Hal. That leaves Alan, John and Kyle. Because Alan is probably the more powerful and definately the most experienced, Kyle and John team on him.

Kyle vs John. Kyle has shown incredible willpower over time(especially in resisting Parallax) and hes more creative than John. John does have the experience edge over Kyle, but i think Kyle has the superior willpower, and creativity to edge out John.

Hate to say it, but Kyle wins imo.

Alan Scott might be the most overrated character on this forum. Genis is pretty close though.

Alan isn't overrated at all...hes got more then enough feats to put him right there with hal/slightly above,genis is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more overrated.

If you judged GL's solely by feats, Hal and Kyle are far and away the best two. That's indisputable.

A lot of kyles big end feats involve having the overpowered ring that he doesn't have anymore,and alan has more then enough feats to hang with hal.

Kyle has nothing to do with Alan being overrated.

How is alan overrated again?hes resisted extants time powers,his planet wide blast that extends hundreds of thousands of miles into space,he has several times atleast stalemated if not come out on top against kyle and some of those were against kyle when he had the super gl ring,alan has tons of high end feats.

The only benefit Kyle's original ring had was the lack of a yellow weakness.

He didn't have the ring AI.
He didn't have auto shields.
He didn't have unlimited power for 24 hours.

If anything, Kyle's ring was handicapped.

Everything you named was a Sentinel Alan Scott feat.

His ring was formed from the guardians dying energies...its always been special,and alan scott still shows himself a top tier with the ring its all based on willpower and alan is still the guy who wrote the book on willpower.

Alan doesn't show himself to be top tier these days. To be fair, none of the other Lanterns do either. Post Rebirth GL's are pretty much Iron Man level but that's a whole different discussion.

So a ring formed from the energies of several skyfathers didn't have any more power...right im calling bullshit,meh gls do seem to have gotten downgraded a bit recently...not sure why but I still wouldn't call them iron man level you still got gls surviving going through black holes and stuff.

Besides the fact that we know kyle had been tapping into energies left over from parrallax and oblivion and the fact that again it was formed from the energies of freaking skyfathers...your honestly going to try and sit there with a straight face and say a ring formed by a bunch of low skyfathers is the same old ring every single other gl gets?thats nothing short of retarded.

Meh, it took the remaining energy of said 'skyfathers' just to muster up enough power to create the ring. Like Val said, other than it being the last, there was nothing overly special about Kyle's ring

actually, all the Oans did was dump all their power into Ganthet, who then took Hals broken Ring & rebuilt it, and thats not a feat which required ALL OF THEM to do in the past as I recall....

Kyles Ring wasnt more powerful, but operated really just differently; the scales were balanced Id say.
