Wow, and I thought I knew computers... Just goes to show.

Allright, mPlayer CAN be used on windows, they say it all voer the place.... But how?

(think Winamp / windows Media Player, but capable of raeding bassically, anything From ogg to avi.

PLEASE anybody, tell me how to actaully make it work, don't just copy paste the read-ma, I read it, throughfully.

If Codecs, templates, anything is needed, Link to it please.

Ok I think I see where you went wrong...

You installed the lyn verson..(open source)

You need to get the Win version on this page

http://www2.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/win32/
MPlayer-mingw32-1.0pre7.zip <----- This file

Once extraced you simply open up files using mplayer.exe
Read the README for the keyboard comands...

Thats what I did and it worked for me...

Thanx Whats Happening is that... There is A Dos Prompt that flashes up, and then nothing.

Because you're using WinXP or Win2k... mplayer, IIRC, runs on DOS. There is a way using the prompt, I think. confused

Yes there is, I know how to use some BASIC DOS, but still doesn't do anything.

Anyways I'v figured out why it wasn't running, the file was incompleatly downloaded.
