Are you going on Relaxation? or A highS chool Musem Trip?

Tahiti. Warm. Beautiful. Beaches. Women.

Europe is great, wonderful culture, historic cities, nice people, lots to do, lots to see, lots of grand photo-opportunities.

If you like impressive wildlife then parts of Africa are great. As are the great rainforests of earth, or the Amazon.

Australia is also a damn good spot - it has some iconic land marks, inner Australia has some of the most amazing landscapes in the world, and there are plenty of beaches. And we are wonderful people down under.

New Zealand is one of the adventure capitals of the world, lots of exciting things to do, lots of great natural images to be caught, and nice people to.

India is quite a confronting place, quite a culture shock for a lot of people, but it is one of the best places for photography that really has depth, contrast and often wonders.

Why don't you try Boracay or Amanpulo in the Philippines, nice beaches and nice view also! You'll never regret having your vacation there!

well i'm in wales, next to england at the moment. mainly coz its where i live. i'm going to get away from life basically. japan is tempting me, and so is toronto. thanks peeps for your ideas, keep them coming if theres anymore

debbiejo
I don't thnk Toronto is that great...It is a nice city though, and on the water........And not far from Niagra Falls too.

Gee no one said the US.....lol.....The Grand Canyon is neat....

I'd like to see the huge Alps, or jungles....Something I haven't seen before, though I've been to the Rockie mountains, as far as mountains go........I hear Fiji is beautiful.

australia is great for photography, you have the red brown earthy deserts in westen ausralia and then the tropical rain forests on the coast and not to mention Tasmanina the best state in australia. they have the biggest lavander gardens in australia and it's a pity u missed spring cos the tulip farms up in the north of the island are magnificent adn has some really great views and rainforests if your into the nature photography that is, if you are ure sure to get some great landscape places if you go to the right places that is. Besides australia is a very relaxed and laid back kinda country.

indeed...they also happen to be three of the most deadly places on the planet

lake nyos has massive amounts of trapped carbon monoxide at the lake bed which on occasion has bubbled out and killed hundreds of villagers and animals in the surrounding area...its the gas that gives it the yellow colour on occasion

mount ijen is an open sulpher mine on the edge of the lake...here's a small pic of someone carrying the sulpher up the side of the volcano

http://www.photographersdirect.com/img/13229/pd236533_s.jpg

the lake in the volcano itself has a pH of about 0.3 because all of the sulpher dissolves and makes it extremely acid

the big blue hole was formed when the roof of a cave system collapsed...i believe its one of the most hazardous and largest underwater cave systems in the world...it does have an amazing feature when you go diving in it though...its called the halocline and is when fresh water sits on top of denser salt water...when a diver passes through the halocline...it appears to the person following that they disapear in a weird shimmering effect before reappearing again...its really quite cool

you can sort of see it at the diver on the right as his legs are in the halocline in this pic

you should ask about the halocline in cave diving (tends to be caves as the water is protected from current and thus the layers stay seperate)

might get you some brownie points stick out tongue

debbiejo
No brownie points....all done with it except for a 35 foot dive test...A MUST......but that pool in Belize Looks cool too....was gonna go on a cruise that was gonna stop there in Feb, but got cancelled.....me sad.

So interesting the halocline in cave diving...Yep.

If you live in Wales, going someplace warm is a must. Sorry to hear about your nana.

Anything near the Mediterranean would be nice, especially since it's somewhat a "close" option.

darthvader_fan

darth_royke
