Ohh tough to call this one. DE Luke was more powerful than many of his later incarnations strangely enough.

Because he either had dark side boons or the boons of a Force bond affording him the full potential of Anakin Solo and Leia. If anything, his real power only grew meteorically, as is confirmed in Jedi Academy.

It's the full potential part that sounds a bit exaggerated.

Well, I worded it badly, but it unlocked his hidden reserves of Force power. So he's at least TUF Luke in terms of power during this confrontation.
