I was watching the Fox News channel and they had some guy on there talking about a smoking vaccine they are developing...

it would have nicotine and have the body to produce an anti body that would prevent the brain from receiving the nicotine "fix" it needs (the craving to smoke basically)

Do you think this is bogus?

What will they think of next laughing out loud

I'm not sure it is a vaccine. It still has nicotine, but your never get your "fix" so you end up taking more and more of the so called vaccine.

my verdict....BOGUS!!!

I heard about this a while back.

The research headed by Jacques Cornuz of University Hospital Lausanne has had some significant results. 57% of smokers who achieved high levels of antibodies against nicotine after receiving the vaccine stopped smoking completely for at least six months.

The study volunteers all smoked between 10 and 40 cigarettes a day, for at least three years and were aged between 18 and 70 years of age.

Side effects of the vaccinations were redness and tenderness at the injection site. Some people experienced flu-like symptoms that resolved within 24 hours.

Researchers believe that the vaccine could be available within 5 years.

Probably another product that eradicates the need for willpower from the human consciousness.

"Ehh, I don't wanna go to the store."

"Here's online shopping!"

"Ehh, I wanna quit but I just can't be bothered."

"Here's an instant-stop smoking pill!"

If you wanna quit but can't be bothered, tough shit.

I could imagine you taking that product.

If someone put it in your mouth, then rubbed your throat so you swallowed it by reflex.
