BlaqChaos
Dick? No. Sick? Yes!

question as in the negative zone sentry is weaker does that mean the void is stronger in the negative zone, espicially as the void is sentrey's opposite
SnakeEyes
I read it and I'm gonna havet to go with no. He didn't want any harm to come to the Hulk... even though he knew something would happen. He still felt as though he needed Hulk's help.

The Void IS stronger in the negative zone if that's what you're asking; I couldn't really understand your question.
long pig
Explain what the Negative Zone is....and why would it have any effect on the Void?
Piedmon
Yeah, actually. He intuitively knew he was lying to Hulk, even if he couldn't consciously admit it to himself, when he said "nothing bad would happen." It wasn't really fair of him to ask Hulk in the first place, because there was no way Hulk could understand the implications of the question.
So yeah, that was pretty bastardly of Sentry.

the negative zone is where rick jones goes when genis is in control and vice versa
long pig
Hmm....
HMMM....
So, my long ago theory that Sentry could be the Original Marvel Boy could still be true..
kgkg

Too many people hate or completely loathe Sentry... and without any sort of good reason. I think he's a fairly good character. I mean, his suit is neat (doesn't look bad or anything), he has an interesting background, and even though he is extremely powerful, he is written and portrayed in such a way that, (from the Sentry's own point of view), allows him to still feel vulnerable/powerless; which makes for a good character.
long pig
I think he's great.
I want him to fight someone I know, though. Take on Thanos, dammit!
Piedmon
I should mention that, while I think he made a selfish decision in regards tot he Hulk, I still like the Sentry as a character and I'm interested to see how he's going to develop.

Of course you mean "Lose to Thanos dammit!" don't you?

Hmmm, i personally don think that the void is stronger in the negative zone. The void did explain that if Sentry struggles, the Void gains strength. In the Neg zone, Sentry lost it like hell in a way. The Void dominated. Void breaking Hulk's bones was an eye opener. Hulk fearing void? Does that seem like the Hulk?
Sentry is still an unstable character, now he unstabalize marvel U in a way. Hulk still remembers Sentry? Hulk sees Sentry and Lindy as dad and mum? Did Sentry existed b4 Banner's gamma boom or is it just after? If he did, why did Sentry did not stop Hulk's rampagings in the past?

From your post, I'm guessing that you never read the original "Sentry" mini-series. Hulk (just like every other hero and villian on the planet) was terrified of the Void. Doc Ock, Thor, Spider-man, EVERYONE. As far as the Hulk was concerned, we found out that the Hulk was always in constant pain. Just "being" the Hulk made his skin feel like it was constantly on fire (part of the reason for the Hulks VERY short temper). When Sentry first confronted Hulk, he found out that something in the energy he emits stops the pain. Without that constant non-stop pain, Hulk became the hero that he was meant to be, as a sort of Sentry sidekick. As long as Sentry was around, he feels better. Not only that, but it makes him docile and childlike as well. Also, we saw that even then Hulk remembered Sentry when no one else would. They speculated that is has something to do with his dual nature. Hence, Banner doesn't remember while Hulk does. Here, read the comic summaries that are linked to this link, and it should help you understand.

the sentry will probably never make another appearance after sentry 6: sentry v void.

well...to my knowledge, they didn't solve the problem of sentry/void's co-existance, so i'm assuming he went back in to hiding.
BlaqChaos
That series in the link was done a few years ago. Emma Frost helped begin to solve the problem in New Avengers, and he's still working on the minor details of it. The Void remains locked up and secured in the vault in his Watchtower.
Piedmon
Or so he wants them to think....

erm that was a nice post but that doesn't explain why hulk was scared and now the've ****ing got Hulk being someone's lapdog (sentry) and the've added shit to it by doing the whole 'sentry helps hulk pain as all this time he was in constant pain so now he should be calm at all times'
hmmm just realised that anytime they want to put hulk down they'll just use Sentry and that silly soothe the pain crap to calm him. PIS is what it is.

It's another dimension, one composed of anti-matter. When one travels through a gateway, your particles start to spin the other way so there's no "Earth shattering Kaboom." It's an old Stan & Jack FF thing.
As to why it would affect the Void, I see two possabilities:
1) The Sentry's powers are adversely affected be the anti-particle nature of the Zone, while the Void's (being opposite the Sentry's) are enhanced. This doesn't really make sense, as the Void still seems to have grown more powerful in our normal matter realm. For that matter, their powers come from the same place anyway, so that'd make even less sense.
2) The sort of lame "Comic Book Logic" embodied in the above possability is exactly how Rob would imagine it would work in his fantasies about how superheroes are.
I consider the latter closer to the mark.
I'm also amused by the Sentry having used the Phanto... excuse me, the Negative Zone as his own personal prison camp. Just another example of his "Golden Gaurdian of Good" bit masking some deep, callous, rage.
I like this character more and more with each story.
joesha28
Me too, but i hope he is not some psi dude. But really the Sentry as he is shown....
joesha28
I read that link.... was Thor there? a scan of thor from that book pls?
long pig
I didn't like how he lied to Hulk. The dick lied to the nice Hulk.
I actually like that Hulk more than the crazy Hulk.
joesha28
he was like a puppy
long pig
Yeah.
Damn dick, Sentry.
I've got a soft spot for big dumb trusting animals, that comic made me care for Hulk.
Hulk should be like that all the time except when innocents are in danger. It'd allow his true hero to shine through.
Poor Hulk.
joesha28
Hulk is Anger personified... he can't be like that.
Psycho Ninja
dick indeed dick
