Ambiguous Magic hand is allowed ! smile

Is colosus this strong ?

Draco69
Ambigous Magic Hand is too strong....

Not to mention, Aquaman is stronger, much faster and considerably more agile.

Whats Flash like ? smile

King_Mungi
Well technically this new Aquaman title isn't even about the same old Aquaman. Apparently it's about a new guy.

It said it was going to be very fantasy based ... I really don't like the pseudo mythical approach ... which is why i have gone off Thor. smile

kgkg
Aquaman

Colossus is my favorite X-man. But I don't know if he can take Aquaman. He seems to be even superior to Namor it seems.( I don't read Aqaman)

Colossus is equal in strength. He should have him in durability though.

Just how fast is Aquaman on land?

Draco69
Aquaman can reach Mach speeds in the sea. One time he clocked at Mach 30. IMAGINE how fast he is on land without oceanic pressures hindering him.

Wow, Mach 30? Where?

I've only seen the pic where he moves with 20,000 feet per second.

I've seen Namor moving with Mach 8-10 speeds (not pushing himself though). If Aquaman can go with Mach 30, I guess he is faster.

I'm not sure about Namor being faster.

In the pic Colossus almost killed Sinister. Only to be save by his brother Mikhail.

Yeah, but Namor's moved with speeds close to 12,000 feet per second and wasn't even close to pushing himself. When Aquaman did the 20,000 feet per second feat, there was blood coming out of his ears and I think he passed out. Check the Aquaman Respect thread for that one.

That sounds like a case of bad-writing to me. How many times has Namor shown this mach speed?

The speed was stated as numbers only one time, but he has swam very fast before:

Namor's swimming speed is WAY wrong in the handbooks. In these pictures, he is swimming 15000 feet in few seconds. That would put his speed in somewhere between 9000-12000 feet in second. Simply put, he can swim with speeds between Mach 8-10. Maybe more, since he is not clearly pushing himself:

http://img425.imageshack.us/img425/9911/namorfeat724zw.gif
http://img425.imageshack.us/img425/9374/namorfeat737jo.gif

So, Namor can swim...about 126 times faster then the handbook states.

Really shows how they research things...laughing out loud

snoopdogg
Sorry man but it does not say how long it took him to get to the bottom. Heck it could have been minutes or even hours.

DarkCrawler
RAPID descent to the bottom. It says so right there.

I have hard time believing that Abomination would just wriggle there for hours...and that two panels would last hours...and that a casual descent that takes minutes would make the blood spurt out of Abominations ears...

It's seconds.

It's seconds. Abom can't hanlde the pressure of the water like Namor can. That's why he didn't fight back.

And maybe cause he cannot breath underwater also.

It's not a good feat.

What the hell are you saying? Abomination was fine fighting underwater for three pages until he hit Namor on air where he pulled him down...and of course he can't handle pressure when he is taken down there in such a short time. If it would have taken minutes, he could have adapted to pressure, he is about as durable as Hulk...

It took seconds. Would they say RAPID if it took minutes or hours? Would happen in two panels if it took hours, lol? And that he is on the bottom in next panel?

Two panels.

Rapid.

Blood spurting out of Abomination's ears.

It's a good feat, sorry.

The whole fight:

Why would they say RAPID if it took seconds? LOL.

Sorry all we can do is assume. You assume it was seconds cause your a Namor fanboy.

I need more hardcore proof than just a pic anybody can make assumptions over.

Because rapid usually means something that happens VERY fast...if it happens in minutes, or HOURS it's not rapid...laughing out loud

Rapid:

Moving, acting, or occurring with great speed.

adj 1: done or occurring in a brief period of time; "a rapid rise through the ranks" 2: characterized by speed; moving with or capable of moving with high speed; "a rapid movment"; "a speedy car"; "a speedy errand boy" n : a part of a river where the current is very fast

I assume it on based on the facts that show in the comic:

The fact that it only takes them two panels to get there.

The fact that they say rapid,

and the fact that Abomination, who has VERY HIGH durability, nearly passes out when Namor gets him on the bottom.

And if it had taken hours or minutes, would you think that it had been little longer then two panels.

And there goes the fanboy card. Someone disagrees with you, and you call them a fanboy. Great debating skills you having there.

Assumptions that are based on the facts shown in the picture. Yep, it was impressive and fast, still doesn't mean it was per second, there's no evidence of it.

Well you get involved in every conversation that involves Namor. You used to have Namor in your sig.

Don't hate the player hate the game boy.

I am a Namor fan. Which is different term then a fanboy. I remember when people used to say Superman was not faster than light in space.

I showed them a case where it says how long it took him to get from point A to point B. Indicating that he was indeed flying FTL.

You gotta respect a hero with no nose and underwater breathing, like really who has that power? there's like no one who can breathe or swim underwater in DC or Marvel roll eyes (sarcastic) . Wow, I'm going to say he could even take Superman.

Warmonger
Aquaman Bleh! Totally lame. I think he can still beat Colosuss but but if I were Peter I would hang myself afterwards cause there is no washing away the shame.

Lucid Lui
Aquaman wins...

clueless
are they on land or not

King_Mungi
Probally land, but doesn't matter much due to his magic hand he never dries out anymore. So he constantly fights at full-power

Metalmanx
Just a quick question. I didn't see the actual comic, so I'm curious about something. Was Juggernaut ACTUALLY drowning? Or was he just sinking rapidly, not able to swim himself to the surface and not actually being hurt? I only ask cuz after looking at the picture, he looks pretty calm, like he just doesn't care that much. But I could be wrong, that's why I'm asking.

DarkCrawler
Yeah, but Sammy was able to pull him at the surface, making him stronger then Caps (Juggernaut weighs 900 lbs, Captain can only lift 800 at maximum. laughing out loud )

The X-men assumed he would so Sammy jumped in. I don't think he cared much either cause Blacktom made a comment about his childhood right before that.

Yea...after hearing what you guys are saying and seeing the pic, I don't think Juggernaut was actually drowning. Just sinking. He would've been fine it seems to me.

DarkCrawler
Maybe he is adapted in surviving in the pressures of sea.

I mean, everyday Atlantean is able to lift 5 tons because of that.

He looked fine.
