im not sure..honestly i thought DC de-powered him..nows hes called Jobberseid on some of these forums..poor guy

Well, Pre and Post Darkseid is the same guy.
I was talking about the two characters.

Darkseid's the same guy, he protected himself and his planet from the Crisis.

Desak takes him...It took the Odinforce to for Thor to take him out. Post-crisis DS doesn't have anything as potent.

The Odinforce was only even effective after Desak bonded with the Destroyer. Prior to that, he laughed off Thor's blasts. Merging with the Destroyer seemed to negate his immunity to divine powers.

It's not inconceivable that Desak could just smile as the Omega Beams wash over him.
