FistOfThe North
It can be more than one movie.

My best movie I saw was definitely "Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith". I've been waiting for that movie for years and years and it finally came. I can now die, lol.

Solo
Crash

Aravis3
For me, it's gotta be The Chronicles of Narnia, The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe. Dreamer is second. smile big grin

Mando
This is tough.

Overall I would say, 'Batman Begins'. Mostly because we have been waiting years, and years for someone to finally get it right, Story wise, and acting wise. Then Chris Nolan, David S. Goyer, and Christian bale Nailed it flat on the head. The story was spectacular, the action was excellent, and most of all, It was emotional. Which is something we really didn't expect in a Comic Book movie.. IMO best film of 2005.

Ones that Defiantly come close, Are "Chronicles Of Narnia" and "Jarhead". I still have yet to see 'King Kong', But until then, I'm sticking with Batman Begins.

Tptmanno1
I dunno,
Jarhead was the only one that really blew me away...

Wolfie
I'd say Sin City.

Mando
Looks like we have a lot of different answers here. Keep 'em coming.

Tptmanno1
Ohh Sin City was good too, almost forgot about that...

Ya Krunk'd Floo
'Crash', 'Batman Begins', 'Sin City', 'DiG!', 'Murderball' and 'The Wedding Crashers' were all excellent.

Snoopbert
I want to see Jarhead, but since i haven't seen too many of these movies, I'm going with Sin City.

GCG
Looking forward to Munich, though i doubt Spielberg will submit it for Academy Awards next year.

Lana
Haven't seen many movies this year.....not surprising though.

I'd say Sin City or ROTS.

starwarsrules14
I'd say Pride and Prejudice, that's just me though stick out tongue
And, being the hardcore fan that I am, Star Wars III Revenge of the Sith.

~S.L. cool

BobbyD
Cinderella Man with Russell Crowe and Renee Zellwegger.

StinkFist462
Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith
Sin City
King Kong
40 Year-Old Virgin

Nevermind
There have been so many fantastic films this year. The one I enjoyed the most was Sin City. So I'll say Sin City, but that's not to say there wasn't any other films that were equally as good. Some of the best films this year:

Cinderella Man
Batman Begins
ROTS
King Kong

There are a few films mentioned here that haven't been released here yet. I look a forward to seeming them. I'm sure there are other great films that come out this year that I forgot to mention.

Jarhead
Layer Cake (2005 at least in US)

Rapscallion
in order:

Crash
the Constant Gardener

(big drop off after these two)

Charlie and the chocolate factory(don't know how this one made it on the list)
War of the Worlds
Cinderella man
Batman Begins
House of flying daggers

I haven't seen King Kong or Munich, but I think those two could both go very high on the list. I'm seeing Kong today. big grin

Storm
Batman Begins

Impediment
Batman Begins
Crash
The Devil's Rejects

King kong, batman begins, sin city..in that order...

BlackSunshine
Sin City
Batman Begins
Star Wars Episode 3
Devils Rejects

Can't wait to see King Kong and Cronicles Of Narnia!

The best movie of 2005 is definitely CRASH. that was an amazing movie. Outstanding in every way.

Sin City
Batman Begins
Charlie and the chocolate factory
The interpreter
Cinderella man
Layer Cake
Hitch
Robots

The worst movies were
House of Wax and The Perfect Man. Two very disappointing and pointless movies

I still have to see some of the highly anticipated movies like
Harry Potter and The Goblet Of Fire
The Chronicles of Narnia
Jarhead
Brokeback Mountain
The Family Stone

BackFire
After seeing King Kong I'd definately put that in the top films of 2005.

papabeard
NightWatch, The Life Aquatic, The Devils Rejects and Sin City

Neo_Version 7
"Batman Begins" and "Goblet of Fire" for me! big grin

Third would probably be "King Kong" for me. (I kind of found it boring in the beginning...but it really picked up at the middle)

"Sin City" and "Revenge of the Sith" was awesome too.

The only movie i've heard of was "Corpse Bride". I have yet to see it I.

The rest of the movies sound like indepenent / Bollywood movies, am I right?

Mr Parker
Batman Begins.

Rage420
Batman Begins

MildPossession
No Bollywood movies in that list of mine. I recommend you see all the ones you haven't seen. But see Bergman's Scenes From A Marriage before Saraband since it's a follow up, if you fancy the films.
