How long do you wait before you call them?

At the moment I feel like me and this girl are kinda playing a game who will call or msg eachother first I dont want to call her or msg me untill she calls or sends me a msg first........

Opinions please

this is so very sad but... nobody ever gave me their number before...

I usually wait 2 days before I call her. If I get her number on friday night, I would usually wait till Sunday afternoon to call. If I get it during the week I usually call on thursday to make plans with her for the weekend.

3 days, standard rule.

Hm, I tried 3 days but it doesnt leave enough time to make plans within the same week. I like 2 days because you have 5 days to go out.

It depends on the person giving me their number. If it's someone I like then I might wait three or four days. If it's someone that I don't particularly like, then I never call them. If it's someone that I really enjoy being around or find particularly attractive, then I might wait a day or two.

But, then again, if someone has given me their number, then I see that as them making the first move, so there's no need to be coy about contacting them. Now, if you asked for the number, then you've already made the first move yourself...so calling in the next day or so is just the next logical step.

Don't wait too long. It might come across as disinterest.

Well personally, I wouldn't call/message straight away but 2 or 3 days sounds good... and absence does NOT make the heart grow fonder.

If they havent called for a few days, call them and make plans for the weekend or something. Its no good waiting for the other to call, you have to do it yourself at some point.

I just want her to know I am interested and am scared if I wait 3 days she might think I am not

She got it of her brother, I am mates with him.

I dont usually bother with asking for numbers unless I want to follow it up, so she'll probably ring sometime.

If she later asked her brother for your number, then it's a fair assumption that she knew he would tell you she did so. So, just call her, the moves have already been made. The mutual attraction is obvious. She doesn't need to know her brother told you she asked for your number. Just go with it.

Get her by surprise and call her the very day you get her number, say something like "On my way home i was thinking about you so I had to call to make sure you got home ok", this should work.

You wait untill the end of the week then you call her up and say "Youa re comming with me to dinner and movie / The county Fair / Special event And you're going to enjoy it Meet me there at whatever time"

As soon as she gives it to me. Like literally. I like to give her that "You're being stalked" feeling.

I don't call it all. Just wait for her to call you.

I've been asked for my number, and I've been offered someone's number. I've always declined to give it out/take it though I don't like meeting up with perfect strangers.

If someone asks for my number I usually tell them my friend craigs. So, they don't know where I live.

If you aucutally like the girl (or guy, w/e) then you should call the next morning, or afternoon.

That is aucutally quite common. I dated my friends sister once....but my friend got kinda at her when we broke up *I still maintain to him it was her fault...jackass*

Why play games? Just call her. Once. Don't keep calling if you get her answering machine. And have something to say. Be prepared. Good luck.

I just exchanged numbers with a girl I met last night. I was on a story about this street with a bunch of Christmas lights in the town where I live. She just moved back from LA and I told her I was sorta new in town. She asked if I had friends yet and I said, 'not really, just work friends.' Then she asked if I wanted her to be my friend, I said yes, then she said, 'well I guess I should give you my phone number.' She was with her mom too, so I've already met one of her parents. I haven't called her yet, I think I'll wish her a Merry Christmas tomorrow or something.

if a guy gives me his number, i put it in my phone! then....i call him the next night....if just that'd happen
