Personally, I think it'd be a waste to kill her now. Right now, she's lost some of her importance, and doesn't show up as often. This whole hatred of Lana and my posting on season 4 thread, reminded me of one of my favourite episodes, the one in which Lionel and Clark swap bodies. I think both men did a fantastic job of pulling it off, but the defining moment has to have been Clark/Lionels encounter with Lana in the barn. That was just sheer class, every word that is uttered is pure heaven for all you Lana haters, I suggest you rewatch it, and for all you Lana lovers, do the same and show your true colours....BURN THE WITCH!! blowup

I agree. She was kinda cute initially and I was sold on the insecurity bit at first, but now she's just annoying. I don't find her attractive at all. Her body isn't sexy either, she has no boobs or an arse, IMO.

What that Anomaly said proves the point I've raised in other threads about the look of the actors who play these characters determining just how popular they are in that role. It doesn't matter just how mediocre their acting ability is; the bimbos who play Lana and Lois will always get comments like: "oh she's such a great actress!", all because they're pretty, albeit, nothing special - it is only the exposure they get from being on TV that makes them special in the eyes of the brainwashed Smallville fanbase (the majority of the overall fanbase).

Anomly is an example of someone who is brainwashed into thinking a pretty girl on Smallville is a spectacularly pretty girl, more so than someone of equal attractiveness or more, in the real world. Check out the photo he posted - there's nothing special about her in it, yet he's hyping her up with the smileys, use of words and phrasing of those words as if she's amazingly beautiful. It's amazing just what Television can do to the human mind, isn't it?

In my previous post, I clearly stated that people are affected by the media, and opinions are swayed by trends and peer pressure. What I meant, and you did not comprehend, was that that doesn't matter, for each person has a preconceived opinion on any subject. To claim an opinion jaded by outside media to be invalid is to be entirely hypocritical, basically ignoring the opinion of everyone. For example, it would be quite difficult to claim that Kirstin Kreuk is butt-ugly; she is quite pretty, she wouldn't have gotten the part otherwise. And following that, the media claims that she is beautiful, then different people have different ideas of the level of her beauty. Girls become anorexic because of the basic human instinct for popularity, and the visual nature of our species. Where I disagreed with you is the extent of their influence. Homo sapiens are not a solitary species. They group together in large groups, clans, etc. for safety, dating back to when we were not the dominant species of the Earth. Thus, it is an ingrained instinct to want companionship.

'Visual nature' is an indisputable fact. Unless you use a counting system other than base-10, you are also affected by what you can see (your fingers and thumbs/ toes). And what I am trying to say is that people only like Lana because she's pretty. Following that, first impressions are usually made based on appearances, and under that perspective, yes, we are shallow. But you have too little faith in your fellow person. Why do you think people stereo-type models as stupid? Because they are? If what you said is true, the general populace would be too absorbed in their beauty to comment on flaws, but they do.

They aren't gonna kill Lana. She's one of the people that they can't kill off if they want to keep some continuity. Chloe as far as I know was made up completely for the show, like Pete. They can be killed. Lana can't, Lois can't, etc.
