Here is Colossus slappin Wolverine again. This scan shows great strenth too. A huge solid steel block fell on him. He suffered no effects.

I like Ult. Colossus a lot, and I am kind of dissapointed that he's gay. I e-mailed Marvel about it and they said there not sure of what they want to do with Colossus. It would be nice if they had a big twist, and it turned out Colossus wasn't gay. If enoph people complained thogh I think they would make him staright.

Colossus' sexual orientation hasn't been confirmed but there have been some hints during the series that may suggest he is homosexual, this could just be a lead up to something new I don't no yet. I'm not sure we'll ever see Colossus completely "come out" or declare his sexual preference one way or the other for that matter. But for now I think writers are having fun with the mystery this has obviously created.

Colossus is still a great character.

i dont know wat issue exactly, i do know that the ship was carrying the rest of earth's heroes (thor, cap, thing, hulk....everyone except the xmen) they were all bracing for a crash landing wen colossus caught the ship...it was pretty big. There also was an example of his durabilty when an omnipotentdoom killed all of earth's heroes, this alien girl brought colossus back to life cause his body was less mangled then the others...including thor, thing and hulk....

Here Colossus takes a direct blast from a Sentinel with no problems. He just lost some of his clothes.

Wolverine had to had behind him.

Ultimate Colossus stopping a train dead in it's tracks literally. I don't know how many carts were on it but there was alot.

Pretty impressive.

that is a bad ass pic, I dont get why Marvel has Colossus listed as a class 100, when that train weighs more than 100 tons, and so did the submarine.

Well class 100 is the highest ranking Marvel has in strength. So it's a honor to be in that class.

I no I was just saying that the submarine he lifted, and the train he stoped wiegh a lot more than 100 tones because thats only 200,000 pounds which clearly the train, and the submarine weigh more than. so do you think in the future we will see characters surpase the 100 ton lv.

After all Namor is listed as lower than Class 100 !

It doesn't mean anything, but I just mentioned that Class 100 means that you can lift more then 100 tons. Handbook writers just don't research much.

Here he fights Champion in a boxing match and almost lasted a full round. Colossus took a beating but Champion hit him relentlessly as the scan says. Colossus was not even knocked out(still armored).

Here is the Colossus/Juggernaut bar fight from Uncanny #183. Colossus did pretty well even against classic Juggernaut. He even dodged a few blows and landed some to Juggies chin.

Considering nobody can actually beat Juggernaut in a brawl Colossus did alright. Oh and I want to clarify this obsurd rumor that Colossus was knocked out during the fight. It's not true. Look at the last scan he was still concious when Juggie left.

I remembered this fight while browsing the Wonderman thread. Colossus knocked Arkon on his @ss once upon a time. Arkon was even amazed from the blow and mentioned that Colossus is his most poweful enemy.

The X-men joined the fight but Colossus took him out with a move straight out of Sasquatches book.

Oh I forgot to point out that Colossus pulled that punch that floored Arkon.

Arkon was still impressed with his power.

Yea I never knew 616 Colossus was that good, Ultimate Colossus defeated Thor, 616 Colossus defeated Arkon.

I also believe that Ultimate Colossus could defeat 616 Juggernaut, and Ultimate Juggernaut.

Here is Colossus/Juggernaut fight from Uncanny #102. It was the first time they danced and Colossus was fairly new to the X-men.

He is more skilled now and alot stronger than when this fight occured.

Ofcourse Juggy won the fight. But it shows Colossus' agility and power to knock Juggy down twice.

Ironman had to have help to move a smaller submarine. He even had to have his power upgraded.

I can bench press over 300lbs easily. But if somebody threw 300lbs off the roof of my house I could not catch it.

Then Colossus proceeded to fighting Sasquatch who at the time was equvilant to the Hulk. Sasquatch was getting the better of Colossus but once Cyclops told Colossus to start using his head the tide of the fight changed. Sasquatch underestimated Colossus. But in the end they were both left standing.

If 616 Colossus can have a stand still with Sasquatch at Hulks lv do you think 616 Colossus can have a stand still with Hulk or Ultimate Colossus have a stand still with Ultimate Hulk?

I think Colossus would hold his own against Hulk for a while like Thing does. But after awhile Hulk will win.

Thanks, but my thread has been around longer that's why it has more scans, you will get to that many if your sanity holds up...I'm walking on the line. Yours is still very interesting and look forward to the updates. If I get time I will help post some scans, but my classes are mon-8-6, tues-8-8 and don't even know the rest of the week is...gah!

Damn never knew, thats crazy. Does Ultimate Colossus show the same resistance I know in like UX & she touched him or whatever but does he have the same resistance.

It's a bit contradictory. The same poerson who wrote that also wrote the issue ages where she absorbs him when they touch. But since that's the most recent best to go with that...

I think all the writers need to get on the same page like the fact that a Steel man can have his powers absorbed. I just dont understand it its like they don't pay attention to what the once wrote or what others write.

The upper limits of Colossus durabilty is unknown. Marvel handbooks say he can take temperatures as high as 9000 degrees.

In this pic he was heated up so hot he was red hot then white hot AND BEYOND!.(which is hotter than red hot).

A the scans I've seen in this thread show me that Colossus is underestimated. He has done so many great things in the 616 universe, and his ultimate counterpart is even stronger. Why do you think people underestimate him so he is great, but he's really not recognized when people talk about the strongest people in the Marvel universe. why do you think this is?

When I was younger I used to think it was becasue he is Russian. When Colossus came out and during the 80's everyone in the U.S. hated the Russians. The whole Cold War Thing.

Well thats a good point, never thought about that. I just dont understand it people are on Things sack all the time about how strong he is, but he's no greater than Colossus in the 616 universe while in the Ultimate Universe Colossus so far has shown to be superior to Thing.

Mark Miller making Colossus gay doesn't help Colossus rep either people will now have something else to say about him.

Colossus takin on a horde of Aliens with no troubles.

Lazers bouncin off him too. No big deal for Colossus.

616 Colossus is damn strong it's hard to believe that Ultimate Colossus is stronger.

Here Colossus has a skrull Gladiator in one hand and a another Skrull Neutron in the other hand.

These Skrulls are probably 75% as powerful as the originals.

Here is Colossus smackin a Skrull around who copied the Hulk. Even if he copied Hulk to 75% of his abilities this is impressive being it is the Hulk.

Ultimate Colossus throws a Sentinel, and is stated to be able to crush diamonds between his fingertips:

i just saw the handbook for the ultimate universe...it states that colossus has staggering strength capable of moving a sub weighing more than thousands of tons...then he has a strength level of 6..i look at the back and it says 75 to 100 tons...yeesh...talk about editorial not doing its job...they should update their power ratings.
is ultimate thing a 6 or 7? capt. britain and iron man a 6? i dont think so...they coudnt even lift that sub without extra help....

Thing has a level 6 rating also. But Colossus has been the most impressive so far.

Meh handbooks are not really good guaging one's actually "Strength". Colossus has definetly shown he can lift more than 100 tons, hell even Sasquatch has and they say he can only lift 75 tons.

I dont think that the people that write the handbooks read the comics. They say Cap Britan is in the same lv as Ultimate Colossus? this is crazy someone needs to e mail Marvel.

damn man.... the X-Men stories used to be all about bigotry, prejudice and hatred..... it'd be a damn shame if people started to complain now just because one of the characters turns out to be homosexual

the whole idea of complaining about it to try to get it changed goes against the whole essence of what they originally stood for..... and quite frankly i find it offensive

Here is a bio from the 2003 Ultimate Guide to the X-men. It says that being Colossus is basically a adult he can lift over 100 tons.

Sorry you find it offensive it's just my opinion sorry it goes against yours.

Why dont I want him a gay simply because this could be a downfall for Marvel in my opinion. I simply believe this because the way they trip over games theses days, and that new movie Brokeback Mountain with the two gay cowboys, people wre bound to complain in which Marvel might lose a lot of credibility, and then that might lead to the comics changing all around.

...im all for the ratings like 6 and 7 just to show how strong a character is next to other characters...but when u put exact numbers like 100tons or 75tons...every time you see a superbrick lift sumthing bigger than a tank, it makes those numbers look stupid....

maybe marvel should strech out the numbers from 7 to 10 or 12...that way u dont get captain britain in with colossus, u dont get wolverine in with spiderman or cap...

Colossus lifts up a military truck with ease. This is a truck that hauls weapons and ammo. These trucks are very heavy and made mostly out of solid steel to withstand the battlefield.

Juggs is one of my fav characters in the Marvel universe I hope they bring him back to his former self.

strong guy too bad he was riped up by Magneto, shows that Ultimate Colossus is stronger than his 616 counterpart since he stated that Anteus is far stronger than he is, and Anteus was riped up by Magneto when Colossus overpowered him.

Ult. Mags hasn't shown anything to put him on 616 Mags level yet IMO.

I think the only reason is because there trying to make the Ultimate Universe more realistic I think it's the same Magneto. Ultimate Magneto did hold 100 50 ft 200 ton sentinals in the air with ease, and Ultimate Colossus overcame that power.

Until he shows something, you are just assuming. It's not like 616 could not lift those sentinels with ease. Where was it stated that they are 200 ton, anyway?

It was never stated that those Sentinels weigh 200 tons. However it was stated that the new Sentinels weigh 200 tons in the Wizard magazine. But I don't know if they are credible or not.

I belive that Wizard Magazine rated Ultimate Colossus's strength as 7 tons, (Yes seven, not even seventy) so I believe that they are not credible...

Well how much would you say a Sentinel weighs?

Perhaps 50+ tons.

Okay Magneto effortlessly held 5000 tons of Sentienls in the air.

I think them big ass sentinels yes the ones with the feet bigger than Colossus weigh more than 50 tons. Them are some huge robots!

Check this durabilty feat out. Colossus climbed to the top of this mountain and when he got to the top Havok blasted him making him fall back down. On his way down Iceman made a slide for him sending him smashing into a demon. Then he made impact into the ground.
