where do you think stardust fit in among heralds?

leonidas
he seemed pretty damn tough and told bill no amount of physical harm could defeat him. bill put a whooping on him but stardust was still standing. ss has more feats, but power-wise stardust seemed pretty close.

snoopdogg
Is he still the herald?

Khellendros
Hmm... I'd put Stardust around SS level, if only because of his versatility (seemed like that was magic he was using to open that black hole). And, yeah, the fact that he doesn't seem to be stoppable by physical force helps things out too.

long pig
I don't think it was a black hole, he opened a dimension from cosmic hell.

I'd almost say he's above ol' shiny butt.

DigiMark007
...the hell's Stardust? And why does Marvel think it needs another guy to bridge the gap between herald and Thanos (Sentry anyone?)

There should be some sort of rule that until they have at least 50 comic appearences they are by default lower than Thor and Surfer. That would help this forum out tremendously.

The Ion
At or above Surfer. Definitely among the best heralds.

To tell you the truth, I don't actually know where the hell the name came from.
When I did a password recovery, it sent me Arabian Knight's name and PW.

I don't know who exactly that name belongs to. evil face

BRB is knocked out. SD isn't.

SD then proceeds to go through "1 million miles of debris" so speed is...well.....pretty good.

Lasers also don't bother him.

Second fight:

Both BRB and Skuttlebutt attack him at the same time. He doesn't seem phased. Skuttlebutt's lasers are potent enough to injure BRB.

They release Asteroth from that dimension. Asteroth is a multiverse-devourer. Sort of a god of chaos.

So they ally to defeat Asteroth. Here's BRB holding Asteroth down, while Stardust flies straight into the planet, all the way to the core, making it explode.

I don't know. SS is more of a "using the power cosmic to transmute matter" sort of fighter.
Terrax is more of a "using the power cosmic to increase physical stats" sort of fighter.
Stardust is more of a "using the power cosmic for blasts and electromagnetic manipulation" sort of fighter.

I'm not sure what the outcome would be.

Scoobless
Stardust is composed of energy.... which would be a big disadvantage if he* were to fight Quasar or Surfer.... or even Classic Thor when using his brains

* I thought SD was a she until it was stated in the text that she was a he

that's hilarious. i thought he was a she too! i also thought the same about his fighting ss and wondered as i was reading if bill would adjust as well to the fact that he was energy. as for ss, i guess it would depend on whose level of energy control was better. sd did appear to be VERY powerful though. damn, bill gave him everything, and still couldn't put him down. wonder what would have happened had bill kept squeezing his skull . . .

ss has more feats

Stardust has only had one comic !!!!!!!!!!!!

When has Surfer ever destroyed a plannet by physically ramming someone into it ? When has he ever created a black hole ....

I do think the creator of Stormbreaker had snorted too many lines b4 hand. Either that or he was trying to recreate the Superman silver age !

I don't know if SS has made black holes, but i know he had a lot of trouble when the guy with the two swords (God i always forget his name) made a black hole. (In the Galactus mini).

that blackhole posing such a threat was interesting. ss has flown through blackholes unharmed, but it seemed dangerous to bill and sd and even asteroth had she been sucked in. personally, i think that was just good writing. blackholes get too little respect in comics.

on the whole, stormbreaker was great. wish alpha would have stuck around longer. the last issue i wasn't crazy about -- things happened really fast to wrap up, but on the whole i enjoyed it immensely. showed bill was one bad mofo. and sd too!! too bad he's dead . . . isn't he . . .?

Ummm.......i don't think SD is dead confused

Yep, and don't forget the initial thing he opened was a dimensional gateway, not a black hole. So.......i'd say he deserves some respect for that wink

SD looks interesting. Some kind of Protos from Starcraft.

SD is dead .... he was sucked into the vortex and the those Gods told BRB that he was dead !

I agree with you leon .... I like it how his hammer was busting up planets and asteroids, and yet it took him 4 or 5 hits to take out a spidey badguy ! roll eyes (sarcastic)

Red shift created a black hole ?

Bloody hell i need to do some reserach on heralds .... they seem more inconsistent than Supes !

yes red shift made a blackhole

and it's always cis when the heralds such as silver surfer don't use all their powers. Blame the damn writers for their inconsistency. sad

Post a scan of BRB's hits destroying a planet or an asteroid please, because i read and re-read Stormbreaker several times, and then posted (check my first post in this thread) to prove that it was Stardust that was busting up planets.

Yup,It was SD but we all know bill is capable of busting up planets aswell.

I have no problems with Heralds being above Supes in power .... It makes alot of sense when they have acsess to such a huge energy source. but from what i've seen of them, they just tend to go round blasting each other .... they need some more displays one the same level as Star Dust ! smile

I believe so not to sure ask LP since he has all the thor books.
and another thing is that Thor busted planets up so why can't bill.

I don't know how to do that .... But Wickerman, if you go either the second or third book , Bill hits SD's spear thing with Storm breaker and SD's collision with a near by planet, is enough to destroy it !

That demon thing also sends a huge asteroid at bill and he smashes it with one blow !

thesilverspider
A shot from stormbreaker or mjolnir aimed down at a planet is enough to bust it up.

With a bit of PIS i think MOLJNIR has the strength to destroy celestial objects .... Thor has not !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! smile

IMO Heralds should be way above Thor in strength and power !

but thor don't need the hammer to do a god blast

That's the effect of their impact with the planet. Not BRB hitting the planet or BRB shooting a beam at the planet. As for the thing Asteroth threw at BRB, it was no larger than a small house. The scan is in my first post in this thread. It's definitely not huge. Also, a piece of rock is easier to break than a planet.

leonidas
don't forget thor and herc sent a planet out of orbit armwrestling!! thor and bill are certainly capable of planetary destruction if they ever wanted to do that. hell, even glads can throw a tantrum and bust up a planet.

not sure why you'd (fishy) say heralds should be above thor in power though. i'd disagree with that. perhaps stronger than the average god, but thor's anything but average.

thesilverspider
hey has anyone read the what if with thor becoming the herald of BIG G

Scoobless

i disagree.... Thor isn't a normal Asgardian... he's the child of a Skyfather and the spirit of the earth, he's truly immortal (unlike the other Asgardians) and his strength is vastly superior to his fellow gods.... the majority of Heralds can't hope to match his strength, especially in warrior madness mode, and Mjolnir gives Thor other powers which are equal or superior to any herald's abilities
