Or maybe they did it on purpose...to mask the identity of who ION is....maybe Hal will be ION instead of Kyle....

Meh! on the design, but it could be worse.

No power ring so chances are he's stronger than a normal GL but probably not the God he was before.

I'm hoping the mask won't actually be there but instead it's hiding something.

Don't worry. You can count on Hal to sucker punch Kyle in the first page of every Ion comic...

Kyle is the future. I dont think theyd screw him over. He will have his place somewhere.

Hal's own comic is so friggin boring. Nothing but mutated sharks and suckerpunching.

Let's just hope Winick won't be writing ION. I'd rather not see Kyle ****ing Lucifer or some sh** like that....

Who's doing the writing chores?

Maybe the covered face has something to do with the Rann/Thanagar War Special. There was a rumor Kyle would die and be revived by the Guardians as a Thank You.

Oh and is it just me or does it look like he has a hole in his chest?

Agreed. This looks TERRIBLE.

I was hoping they would keep that cool whitish looking one, or just slightly alter his current costume.

Either way, Looks like i'll be buying the book.

The first 3 issues of Hal's book were great. I loved how he jumped from the plane.

I hope he be able to tap into the Ion much easier than before.

Yep, that kind of art would fit better in urban style comic, like Batman or Daredevil. Cosmic stories have to be crystal clear, there is always something exploding. If the art is bad in cosmic stories, I don't usually either bother to read it, because it is impossible to make out what is happening. In down-to-earth stories, the art isn't that important.

Tocchini is a good artist. You guys act like every page will have green shit exploding.

And for the record he's fighting other GL's.
