Is this purely dark age technology? smile

ESB -1138
Dark age technology? Are we talking about the dark ages of Earth? If so; no. There are machine guns, rocket launchers, and a cannon that can level an entire nation with but a single attack found at Gandra. It's more high-tech than Earth is right now but not that high-tech.

Name: Sebastian

Age: 15

Gender: Male

Height: 5'8

Weight: 170

Weapon of Choice: Sacred Katana

Home: Terbium

Class: Physical Prowess

Likes: Sword Making, traveling, sleeping, praying, quiet places, reading, and causing mischiefs

Dislikes: Murderers and arrogance

Bio: Sebastian spent his entire life alone in Terbrium from the day he was born. He was raised in a foster home until he escaped at 5 years old, with such urge to be free and follow his dreams to becoming what he wanted. He wandered through town and the woods, with nothing. He usually spent time going through alleys, looking through garbage cans, in search of food and slept in a box around his size.

One day, Sebastian walked through the woods finding the land of Igros in war with his own nation. He was hidden behind a rock, in fear but later would turn into rage. He saw how his people were being man handled and killed. He could no longer stand the image and then ran down the mountain in full speed, stole a sword form one of his dead people and went out killing. In that war, they have lost but sebastian was one of the only survivors to have lived through the war. Ever since that day, he wasn ever the same again. He was encouraged to be the best in swordsmanship and war. He trains everyday and works as a swords maker for the Nation of Maldarian.

Sebastian is now going to start his journey.

Well, since ESB helped me understand a few things a little better over PM, onward to glory!

Name: Dimitri Riedel

Age: 18

Gender: Male

Height: 5'11"

Weight: 174

Weapon of Choice: Pistol-sword, 9mm pinfire revolver model. Below is a close-up of the hilt.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v69/seth_wynd/9mmSword_revolver1.jpg

Home: He's a bit of a drifter, but originally from Gandra

Class: Physical Prowess

Likes: Technology, anything mechanical, metalwork

Dislikes: Loud gatherings, any large social get-together

Bio: Born into the merchant class, Dimitri's childhood served as an early introduction into the world of business. His father was a textile merchant by trade, and as Dimitri grew older it was clear that such a field of work was of very little interest to him. Instead, he was fascinated by the blacksmiths and the weapons they helped create. As a result, Dimitri's father reluctantly acquired the boy an apprenticeship for one of the local blacksmiths; though was still somewhat sour that Dimitri had chosen a trade outside the family business.

As the years passed, Dimitri completed his apprenticeship to become a journeyman at 16, and after two failures to enter a guild and obtain the status of a master rather than a mere journeyman; he finally succeeded at 17 by crafting a pistol-sword he carries with him to this day. However, simply working as a blacksmith began to grow somewhat dull...he loved working with metal, but he hated having to do it fourteen hours a day; and that was the shorter hours. So it's no surprise that, now 18, Dimitri has set his sights elsewhere... namely, on the path of the warrior.

Name: Bradley Nathans
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 162 lbs. 7 oz.
Weapon of Choice: Bow and Arrows
Home: Marton, Gravince
Class: Light Aura
Likes: All of nature, most foods and medicine
Dislikes: Illness and disease, messy looking places and slobbish people
Bio: Bradley, or Brad as he prefers, is a completely outspoken young man. Some would say that he should watch what he says because that is what gets him into many unique and troublesome situations. It helps that he is a healer, however, because this fact has allowed him to gain many friends.

He was raised by both parents up until the age of 12 when his mother died of cancer. His healing abilities came literally days after that and he started to berate himself for not being able to help her. His father, Simon Nathans, reassured him that there was absolutely nothing that could have been done to prevent his mother's death considering the fact that at the time he had no powers.

Being the first person in his entire family to have a Light Aura, it was very difficult for him to learn how to use his powers. Having just 4 years of practice hasn't allowed Brad to be able to heal completely and that is where a he has been awarded a few extra abilities. He can sense, know and feel exactly what the problem is with any person's immune system but only after he is told about the sickness and he has the ability to transfer the sickness to himself if he isn't able to heal it.

Some would say that the extra abilities are a curse but Bradley feels as if they are to keep him from getting a to big a ego. He often says, "Every person comes with at least one flaw. Why not learn from it."

Ranier felt power run through him as he released his anger. He slaughtered his mother, and the rest of the livestock. He traveled on horseback trying to repay his sins for 4 years. Discovering he could not repay them, he decided to use explore the feelings of evil.

It is approaching the time of the Field Exams. The Field Exams are when the students are broken up into groups of three and sent out from the Bulma Academy across Bulma Island to perform many different missions. Missions are classified into different rankings; E, D, C, B, A, and S. E being the easiest and S being so difficult that Cielo Masters themselves cannot always complete them.

The Field Exams are a time the teams use to build points depending on the completion of the number of missions. Each ranking offers different points. When the month ends the points are tallied and the teams who score 40 or more all allowed to take the Final Exams to determine who will become a Cielo Warrior and who will remain for another year.

More information on the Field Exams will be given as time passes. Until than pay attention to the information handed for a test will be given before the Field Exams to determine the teams. The teams will try balance out the members. For the highest test score will be paired with the lowest test score and the one who scored around the middle.

Bulma Academy has many different areas; the Dormitory, the Classrooms, the Library, Headmaster's Office (you need permission to go here), the Garden, the Cafeteria, and the Infirmary.

Students are enrolled at the age of 10 to the Bulma Academy so each of you has a few years experience here but not enough to expect to be these all powerful grand masters.

Ranier's horse walked slowly through a dark forest. The loud clopping from his horse echoed off the gray stone path. It covered up the sound of a roadside bandit. He took Ranier by surprise as he jumped out of the bushes, and knocked him off his horse. The bandit sat on top of him, two magnums sticking into Ranier's chest.

Ranier kicked the bandit off of him, and jumped up quickly. He pulled out his machete, and ran for the bandit. The bandit recovered from the kick, and turned to Ranier holding one magnum out. Ranier quickly slashed his hand, causing the magnum to fall. The bandit reacted quickly, and shot a round into Ranier's stomach. Ranier sliced into the bandit's throat, and blood spouted out onto Ranier.

"Oh jeeze," Ranier held his stomach, the pain unbearable. Still, he was surprised to see his horse hand't ran off after the bandit had fired his magnum. He hopped onto his horse, and headed for the nearest village.

Well, what a delightfully... dull... morning. The date marked for field exams was drawing ever closer, which was normally a good thing, except there was really no way for Dimitri to know just what sort of work the exam would entail. As a result, he didn't particularly know just what he should focus on improving... diplomacy, or combat? Stealth, or battlefield strategy? Given the nature of the exams, and the inherent danger they offered, trying to guess just what he'd have to face was more or less like playing Russian Roulette. If he guessed wrong, odds were he wouldn't be able to stop and call a time-out, he'd likely just be shot and the whole thing would end right there on the spot.

Not surprisingly, these thoughts were making for quite a bit of stress, something he didn't particularly care for. Stress meant he couldn't think clearly, and if he couldn't think clearly, he'd never be able to outsmart an opponent.

...and then I will have fallen from a warrior, to a common brute...

At the moment, he was doing what he usually did to clear his mind; practicing his swordsmanship. The garden was his favorite location to do so, at least when there weren't many people around, as the natural beauty seemed to help. None of the instructors he'd met particularly minded his affinity for using the garden as a training grounds of sorts, though each sternly told him to be mindful of the plants therein and to avoid cutting someone's head off. Or shooting them, at which point he always pointed out he never kept his sword loaded unless he knew there might be trouble.

...well, that was more or less a lie, but at the moment, it was truth. Each of the chambers of the revolver built into his sabre were empty as a precaution; and because he was only practicing his form today. Each swing wasn't meant to be particularly swift or powerful, instead they were at half the speed they would have been otherwise as Dimitri attempted to keep each swing and block as balanced and graceful as possible. A weak wrist in battle meant a week in a hospital bed, after all...

((Eh. Too tired to write a physical description of Dimitri into the post... if you really need one, PM me and I can link a reference pic))

Jack sat silently in the garden reading a book. Birds chirped peacefully over him as he flipped through the pages gathering information. Jack was dressed in the Academy Student's Uniform; like all the other students wore during the weekdays. During the weekends though students could wear what they wanted. Jack had his mind focused on the Field Exams.

Jack kept a clear head and only focused on what needed to be focused. Jack thought of himself as a loner and kept mostly to himself. Not really caring about anyone else.

Sebastian was really tired by the fact that he has been Studying and Training (Forgive me if I did not have to do that.) all week for the exams at bulma academy that he has signed up for. He wondered what the exams would really be about? Will it be an exam with a twist? Or another one of those exams where the teacher manipulates the human brain? He was not going to let the exams get him nervous. He snaps his fingers and holds his forehead, remembering that he left the kitchen light on.

Sebastian: Damn! Who knows how long this exam will be.

Sebastian continued walking through his hometown of Terbium in the land of Maldarian with his book on his right hand, his sword held on his back, and a necklace kept under his shirt around his neck. Sooner or Later, he starts to spot other students on their way to the academy for the exam probably. He put his hand in his right pocket and looks for 5 dollars (Forgive me if dollars is not a type of currency in this RP). He went over a stall that sold these natural drinks. He buys a pure orange juice and got his change. He opens the drink and chugs it down. He forgot to eat or drink something before leaving.

android217
Ranier returned to The Academy and headed for the medical center. His bullet wound had skimmed the right side of his chest. The wound would heal on its own with some medical wrap around his chest. Ranier had left his horse outside so no noise would be created. He had left The Academy without permission to pick up alchohol drinks, and he wasn't wearing the Academy Uniform.

ESB -1138
(For the record; the currency here is called Siv )

The doctor of the academy; Michelle McGurr; watched Rainer walk in. She gave a sigh and said, "you again. I just can't seem to get rid of you Jungen. Well what did you do this time?"

An announcement came upon the intercom. It was the headmaster of the Bulma Academy; John Quiin. He spoke strongly and profoundly, "this is an announcement to all students wanting to partake in this year's Field Exams. Report directly to your classrooms to be briefed quickly on information needed. That is all."

(Eh, I'll just post what the teacher, Kain Fox, has to say. It just seems kind of pointless to have everyone just post: He entered the classroom.)

Kain Fox entered the room and looked at all his students. His class (which is everyone who is in this RPG) sat at their respective seats. He went over to the desk and said, "Welcome class. As you know the Field Exams are less than a month away. I don't think anyone in here has taken the exams before so I'll explain everything to you.

First off; the Field Exams will send you into the wild of Bulma Island. There you will acquire missions that your respected Cielo Master will give you based on your team's past performances. These missions can range from a simple escort to slaying a dangerous beast. These exams will last for a month. You will NOT be permitted into the academy expect for the weekends.

Now then, a test will be given in two weeks; a written exam to determine which team you will go in. As you know you will all be placed into teams of three based on the sole results of this written exam. The test will go from military tactic questions, Celestial Energy questions, and history of Igros so I would suggest you listen up over the course of the next two weeks in class for those weeks are critical.

You are free to do as you please during the two weeks for other than class time there will be no other training required. Remember that one week from today is the Festival of the Moon which will be held in the garden. Those wishing to perform for the festival may sign up. That's all for class."

And with that class time is over...

(You see how much easier that is. Now all you can continue what you were doing)

Jack headed down the main hallway. He was without his bastard sword which was named Saigon. Jack was eager to try to get a band together to perform at the Festival of the Moon. Jack could play the piano, harmonica, and even the guitar a little bit. But Jack didn't want to let that get in his way in preparing for the Field Exams. Of course that didn't mean Jack wasn't going to try and impress a girl whom Jack grew fond of during the years.

android217
Rainier had spaced in and out during class. He had been losing a lot of blood, so he headed back to Doctor Michelle.

"Hey Doc... I seem to have been shot," Ranier opened up his coat and shirt. It seemed to have already been infected.
"What do you recommend?" Ranier asked, propping himself up onto the medical chair.

ESB -1138
Dr. McGurr have out another sigh. "To begin with..." she started and held her right hand in front of her torso, "stop being stupid."

Dr. McGurr started to gather Celestial Energy into her hand then touched the bullet wound. McGurr was a master at Light Aura and transferred some of her energy to Ranier to speed up the healing process as well as remove infection.

"And stop leaving the academy. You honestly believe that security here is that dimwitted?" McGurr asked. "Now run along. You need to get ready for the Field Exams."

Well, at least now he knew he not only needed to keep up on his swordsmanship, but his studies as well. Juuuust dandy... somehow, Dimitri doubted he'd be getting much sleep over the next couple weeks. With any luck, he wouldn't get paired up with any of the kids who'd been treating the entire year as one big joke...

As he left the classroom, he was somewhat relieved he wasn't the only one whose mind was otherwise occupied. Though, he was worrying about the upcoming exams, Dimitri really couldn't be certain what this other lad was thinking about. Only one real way to find out really; just speak to him, and see what slips out.

"I find myself wondering mate, just what it is that's got your mind wandering..." he said casually, though doing what he could to make sure he spoke loudly and clearly enough to snap his classmate out of whatever thoughts he was wrapped up in, "Just what it is that's got you thinking so hard. The upcoming exam, where you might well end up eaten by some beastie or killed by bandits; or if you're really just trying to figure out who you're going to try to take along to this festival as your date... or maybe, you're going to try and impress her with a performance of some sort?"

...alright, so small-talk wasn't his strong suit. But at least Dimitri got straight to the point...

Brad was tired and glad that his day was almost over. Mr. Fox had just explained to the class that in a month there was going to be a field exam. Brad was anxious but a little hesitant considering the fact that he was just a healer. He always wanted to do something great to honor his mother and this sounded like the perfect thing.

He saw Dimitri and Jack talking and blatantly interrupted, as he always did. "So now that we know what's going to happen in the next few weeks, anyone willing to learn how to work with a healer?"

(Hope that's okay to just interrupt you guys.)

"Kind of all of what you said Dimitri," Jack replied. "But from what I heard from my brother these exams will test all your abilities to see what your true limits are. I waited for this day to come."

Jack seemed to grow tense just speaking about the Field Exams eager to head out and see what he could do. Jack wanted to prove that he was just as good as Athos; and maybe even better. Jack hasn't heard from Athos since he came to the academy.

(To Ordained)
"Not today Brad," Jack replied. "I have some other things that I need to do."

(I apologize for the late post)

Sebastian made it to Bulma's Academy. He looked around the atmosphere and how the place is filled with many students in the same uniform he is wearing obviously. He just walked through the crowds, very new to the place feeling the butterflies in his stomach, seeing new people. Sebastian didn't really have any friends and was not so sure of how social he was, but kept his head up always with out any shame.

Sebastian entered the classroom as all others were being seated. He sat on his seat in the front, trying not be somewhere else where the teacher won't see how good of work he does. He listened to the instructor and the information of the field exams. He was pretty amazed of how much it takes to go to Bulma's island. He was however planning to work as a team if he had to be work with two other students. As the class was over quickly, he hops over the desk and started walking his way out.

Sebastian: Yeah, two weeks! This will give me enough time to re-pass my work and training! This will be cake!

Sebastian said words that would encourage him to keep him from being more nervous than he is now. He kept walking through the halls, being stopped time after time by these healers and dark poweress about training with them. He refused, knowing there was always a twist within those lines of training with someone you have no idea of. He kept going until he finally sees the exit of the school. He sits on a bench to rest. However, he closed his eyes slowly and fell asleep.

android217
Ranier left the medical center, and headed for his dorm to change into his uniform. As he walked down the hallway, he noticed Dimitri, Jack, and Brad conversing. Ranier walked up to them.
"Hey, when you guys gonna start training?" Ranier asked, buttoning up his shirt.

Seth Wynd
"Kind of all of what you said Dimitri. But from what I heard from my brother these exams will test all your abilities to see what your true limits are. I waited for this day to come."

...not exactly the answer he was looking forward to hearing, but at the very least, Dimitri didn't consider him a fool for it. Granted, allowing your thoughts to become cluttered was something he considered ill-advised, but at least Jack was worrying over the pending exams instead of exclusively about finding a date. So he couldn't be all that bad, just... poorly suited to determining what the proper priorities should be and adjusting accordingly.

"Ah. Well, if I were you, I'd worry less about finding a date and more about preparing for the field exams. Those could end up killing you, your date won't. Unless you've got some penchant for dating the pathologically homicidal type. In which case, don't bring them anywhere near me, I find myself possessing a rather strong inclination to remain amongst the living..."

"So now that we know what's going to happen in the next few weeks, anyone willing to learn how to work with a healer?"

"...I'll pass, thanks. I'm not all that keen on getting injured just so you can practice healing me. Besides, I should get started on preparing for the exams as soon as possible... wouldn't want to be caught unprepared after all, then I'd need to work with you," Dimitri answered, though felt he should probably clarify a bit, just so he didn't come off as rude.

"No offense, but healers are the sort of people you hope you never need to work with; it means you're in good health and adept at avoiding injury..."

Alright, two people nearby. He could deal with that, it was still a sort of small group. Unfortunately, there seemed to be no end to the number of other students joining them. The next one was another one of his classmates Dimitri barely knew, though if memory served his name was... Sebastian? Sure, that sounded right...

Yeah, two weeks! This will give me enough time to re-pass my work and training! This will be cake!

"Well, aren't you overflowing with confidence. Though at least I'm no longer the only one with the sense to train up for the exams, rather than chase after some woman for the festival..."

...alright...starting to be too many people around here...and of all the rotten luck, there's another...

The addition of Ranier to the group was enough; Dimitri was now considering it to be a bit too crowded. He couldn't say he really held anything against anyone present; he just couldn't stand being around too many people. Let alone four people he hardly knew.

"I've some things to take care of before I catch up on my studies, so if you gentlemen will excuse me..." he said politely, though it was hardly a request to leave, closer to an announcement of intent. Picking up the pace, he headed off down the hall toward the dormitories, where he could get a little solitude, at least for the next few hours...

Eve was hiding in the garden again, she skipped going to class because she wanted to finish her drawing she started and also she couldnt concentrate on anything other then drawing lately. She smiled as she continued to draw the garden she was in but there were things added to the picture, she drew someone handing her a flower. She felt silly really, drawing someone whom she has never even talked to let alone give her a flower in such a nice way. She sighed as she realized her mind had yet drifted again and she had stopped drawing.

Eve stood up and decided to go wander around and find someone who might be able to tell her what she missed in class.

android217
"Sure," Ranier replied to Brad."As long as you don't mind working with me... I have a tendency to.. uhh.. hurt people."

"Hey, that's what healers are for. Now before we get started, is there something that you should maybe tell me. Like do you have any dark secrets that I should know about to prevent myself from getting into dangerous situations before the exams even start," Brad asked, once again shooting off at the mouth. He was walking away and waving at Dimitri and Jack.

android217
"Umm... let's see. I haven't done anything horrible in a while, except kill a bandit that attacked me," Ranier answered. He was repressing the memory of his family's death. Ranier had managed to convince himself that his family was killed in a raid by bandits.

Seth Wynd
As he passed by the gardens on his way back to the dormitories, he happened upon one of his classmates that had been noticably absent from the little lecture they'd just walked away from. He could actually remember her name with relative ease, as it was rather short, and decided to do his good deed for the day and inform her of just what she'd missed in class.

"Didn't miss much this time around, Eve, but it would be wise not to skip any more classes. We apparently have written exams coming up to place us into groups for our field exams..." he said admonishingly, though he didn't try to sound terribly judgemental; he'd leave that to the instructors.

"Get yourself killed during the field exams because you're unprepared, and you're likely to break the hearts of more than a few students around here. You'll probably meet them soon enough too, there's a festival coming up. Soon all the young lads will come calling; yearning for some female companionship for a night of cheap entertainment and meaningless celebration..."

spongeherbob
Eve raised an eyebrow at Dimitri but just smiled anyway "Thanks for letting me know, I do pity the person that will be stuck with me though, I tend to wander off on my own most the time" She said with a small laugh. She readjusted her small bag that had her sketchbook in it, but when she did her sketchbook fell out and opened to the drawing she just did.

Seth Wynd
"Thanks for letting me know, I do pity the person that will be stuck with me though, I tend to wander off on my own most the time"

"Since when is that a bad trait to possess? I do it all the time, I can't stand being around too many people at once... I feel compelled to pay attention to all of them, and converse with each out of courtesy. As a result it makes it rather difficult to immerse myself in my own thoughts for a moment of peace."

Perhaps he should have kept his mouth shut about that last part, as he found a moment of peace soon enough; in the form of the awkward silence that followed after her sketchbook fell open on the ground. He was quick to figure out who the taller male figure in the drawing was, though made no immediate mention of it, instead doing the polite thing and picking the sketchbook up off the ground, closing it immediately rather than looking through the rest of it, and handing it back to Eve.

"I think you need a new bag, Eve..." he said casually, then proceeded to correct one detail he'd noticed in the drawing. "And for future reference, I would not give you a rose, but a tulip. I don't consider giving someone a flower that can prick their fingers with thorns as a very appropriate sign of affection. Tulips are still suitably beautiful, and wouldn't mar your fingertips."

spongeherbob
Eve turned her face away to hide the blush and took her sketchbook back. "Uh, thanks" she put her sketchbook back in her bag and turned to him again with a smile glad that he didnt look further into her sketchbook, that would be basically looking into her past thoughts.

Then she remembered his comment about the rose "I only drew a rose because that was where I was hiding" she gave a small smile "I actually favor orchids"

Seth Wynd
"I only drew a rose because that was where I was hiding. I actually favor orchids"

"I see...I'll have to remember that. If we both pass our exams, I might have to go about finding some for you," he responded, managing a slight smile before it was soon replaced by the usual melancholy expression he tended to wear most frequently.

"Perhaps sooner, if I'm ever convinced I'm suitably prepared for the exams..." he continued musingly, before deciding it was best he take his leave. She was attractive, but he didn't want any distractions interfering with his preparations for the field exams.

"Though I must be off, I need to keep up with my training. If you're interested in practicing your own swordsmanship, you are of course welcome to join me..."

spongeherbob
Eve gave a smirk "Sure, I could always go for some practice" she said as she put a hand on her katana "Plus I could also practice a new technique I havent shown anyone else, lucky you" she said with a small laugh. 'Who am I kidding, he will probably kick my butt before I can even attempt to flow my magic into my blade' she thougth suddenly as she turned her face away "But I dont want to intrude on your practicing"

Sure, I could always go for some practice. Plus I could also practice a new technique I havent shown anyone else, lucky you"

"Just don't give me any mortal wounds, I'd rather not be forced to serve as practice for the healer in the class. If you can promise me that much, I shall promise the same..." Dimitri replied, "Besides, sooner I learn how to defend against your new technique, the better prepared I'll be for the upcoming test of merit."

"But I dont want to intrude on your practicing"

"Nonsense. If anything, it can be my way of ensuring you get as prepared as possible for the exams," he assured her, also making it quite plain that after she'd expressed her interest already; he wouldn't be accepting 'no' as an answer...

Eve smiled as she turned back to him "Alrighty then" she gave a smirk "Lead the way" 'Should I practice fire or Ice' she started to think of which element to use in the upcoming spar with Dimitri, she smiled 'I should try both and see what happens'

A Dose Of Vraya
Name: Vraya de la Signora
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Height: 5'8"
Weight: 142
Weapon of Choice: bo staff
Home: Hena
Class: Light Aura
Likes: sweets, people, warmth, reading.
Dislikes: Darkness, evil, people who make fun of him for his last name
Bio: Vraya was born directly under a special star sign known as the lady, charge of the warrior. It was this that gave him his last name. Though those born under the sign of the lady are naturally more patient and likeable than others, it was still rather embarrassing to have the name. Either way, since he was born on such a special night, he is considered holy, and the council decided that he should be taught the magics of restoration to cure people, and alteration to shield himself and others from danger.
He was taken from his parents under the king by the court mage, and raised to be something of a shaman. His star symbol has lived up to what was predicted. He is handsome,smart, patient, and likeable. He goes to see his parents every week and has cured his father's heart failures multiple times to the amazement of the people. He is as close to Hena as a savior would be and it will take some work to get him to leave.

Sebastian awakens, on the bench feeling is bottom asleep. He gets up and checks the time by lifting his wrist infront of his face and finds out it is 6 PM. He widens his eyes and runs to the left where his home is to go study and train. He knew he did not have much to do tommorow so he will take the time to train.

Sebastian: Damn, at least it is not 8. Imagine that!

Sebastian kept running. He stops and remembers about his book. He runs back to go get it from the bench, picks it up, and keeps going to exit Bulma Academy and on his way home. The sky was dark blue and knew tht it is pretty dangerous to be outside in Terbium late at 9 PM so fortunantely, it was 6.

A Dose Of Vraya
Vraya lay asleep in a downy bed. He had been up almost all the way through the night being taught about making shield enchantments to protect yourself when you got in a bit of trouble. It was six in the morning when Elphir, the court mage busted in to the room.
"Wake Up! Wake Up! Breakfast is ready." the tattered, skinnny old man said running towards Vraya. Vraya groaned and rolled over so his face was facing the wall as he whispered a barrier incantation. Elphir rushed towards the bed, and then, with a satisfying "thunk" hit the invisible barrier. Vraya smiled beneath the covers. Elphir stood up and brushed off the wrinkles in his robe. "Don't you use magic on me," he said with a flick of his wand. A snapper (magical creature. Incredibly cute, but with strong jaws) appeared inside the covers of the bed and bit Vraya right on the ass. "Ouch!" he screamed as he jumped up and ran over to the wall. Elphir gave another flick of his wand and the snapper disappeared. He turned and looked at Vraya who looked quite resentful and grumpy to boot.
"Well, sorry," Elphir said. "I had to get you up somehow."
"What's so important anyways, the servants don't even start on breakfast until nine!" Vraya said angrily.
"Yes, but while we are waiting, surely we can study the alchemical properties of what we are going to be eating."
Vraya yawned.
"Always magic, isn't it. Can't we ever concentrate on anything but magic?"
Elphir walked closer to Vraya, his eyebrows arched.
"Magic is the only thing that seperates us from being the farming, greathammer-wielding, barbarian mountain peoples out there in the village. We are the chosen. Without us, Heda wouldn't even exist!" He whispered angrily. Vraya sighed and walked out behind Elphir to study the "alchemical properties" of the day.

(Okay, look forward to your post)

Jack went to the garden with his keyboard and notebook. Jack was hard at work trying to write a song but was trying to keep up with his studies and training. Jack started to play the intro to the song he wrote called Shout. The intro started slow but quickly built up the pace. Jack started to sing ten seconds into it:

I'm not perfect but I do my best just to make it through the day
Always working night and day just enough to keep me on my way
Always living for the moment never caring what was above
Heading to nowhere never knowing about my Savior's love

The upbeat song echoed throughout the garden. Jack played the keyboard with the up most skill. Jack stopped playing and started to change, remove, and add lyrics to the song to try to make it sound even better. He was also trying to find at least two guitarist (acoustic and electric) and a drummer. But Jack needed to keep focused on the upcoming Field Exams...that was his top priority. Jack started in on the second verse skipping the chorus just to hear what that verse would sound like and if it needed anything added or removed:

I'm not great but I do my part just to make it through the night
I'll do my best to get the job done but I doubt I'll do it right.

Jack stopped again seeing that something was missing with the second line. He pondered for a moment wondering what he could add.

"doubting is the first step to failure" andrew commented..he was standing behind jack, leaning on his enormous hammer..

"I'll do my best to get the job done and i hope i'll do it right"

"not bad" andrew pondered, standing up properly and scratching his back with his weapon, and privately congratulating himself..he wasn't much of a music buff, but he did like to hear some of jacks works..
"not that im asking you to stop, but shouldn't you be getting ready for the trials??"

Sebastian had his eyes closed, relaxing his tense muscles and his inner mind, letting all thoughts go. He then open his eyes, quickly drew his sword almost as fast as the speed of sound. He held it out, able to hear many sounds within miles away. Conversations, birds chirping, grass swaying, and steps.

He then acted by swinging wildly as he runs forward and then threw the sword into the air and then did a whirlwind kick using horizontal perpetual motion that he uses on manipulated gravity and then landed, with his foot out.He had his head down as he awaits the sword to fall onto his foot. He kicked the sword up and caught it. Sebastian stood, and puts his sword away. The Katana can wait.

Celestial Energy Lesson 101
Celestial Energy is a gift from Aon in order for his creations to remember who brought them to life. All life has Celestial. It is an invisible energy barrier that surrounds all life but it is possible to see it with the right type of training. Students are taught the basis of seeing Celestial but they never master it; no one does because to master seeing it would mean master control over all Celestial.

Jack looked over his shoulder, "the Field Exams are in two weeks. I got time. If anything you shouldn't try to burden yourself with worry. To worry about something that hasn't happened is something the teachers always speak against. I have trained seven years for the Field Exams, if I'm not ready now it just means I haven't worked hard enough."

He got up and got into a fighting stance with his sword in proper placement.

Sebastian: "Ok let's see here....."

"I was actually hoping we might be able to hold the match here in the garden. Pleasant enough surroundings, and plenty of open space. Though, give me a moment to fetch my sword; somehow I don't think I'd fare so well against your own without it," Dimitri answered, taking his leave momentarily to jog back to the dorms to pick up his sabre.

Thankfully it wasn't terribly far, so he returned within a few minutes time, this time with the sword sitting in the ornate scabbard at his left hip. He drew it quickly, and held it to his chest while his free hand was moved behind his back, and he waited for Eve to get ready as well.

Eve smiled as he ran off to get his sword, she turned and plucked a small flower and pushed it into her katana blade and as she added some of her magic to it the flower was absorbed and a new engraving was on her sword. She smiled.

When Dimitri returned and got ready to spar so did she, she drew out her sword as she smiled at the familiar black blade of her katana. She held it in front of her with her two hands as she slowly poured magic into the blade, but in small amounts so Dimitri didnt see it. She waited for him to make the first move.

"That's not a wise choice," Locke Cole one of the Cielo Masters said examining Eve. "Building up your energy slowly doesn't make it any less visible. In fact all it does is waste energy. You can only maintain that energy in a set location for so long before it slowly begins to escape into the air. Wasting your energy is never a wise choice. It would be best to gather it quickly and build up a strong current to try to hold the energy in place longer."

Locke was sitting under a tree flipping through a book. He never once looked up at Eve. Master Cole didn't even seem to pay attention to the students.

Brad was late for class thanks to Ranier. He told him to meet him at his locker this morning but he wasn't there. He decided to practice his aim with his Bow and Arrow.

He walked out to the quad expecting it to be free but saw that Eve and Mr. Locke were out there. It looked as if Eve was learning something about her energy since she had a glowing aura around her. He thought about going over there to ask if he could join them but thought better of it so he just stood there and watched.

He was looking for something for the headmaster but really couldn't seem to find it. Locke continued to flip through the book and continued, "when you are in the midst of fighting the dai-orks I'm sure they'll more then happy to give you time to say hi to someone. You have great control over your Celestial Eve...you just don't seem to have the focus to maintain it."

Jack stood up and stretched, "well as much fun as it was talking with you Andrew, I'm outta here."

Jack walked from the garden and headed to the Academy's Entrance where a grand fountain was located. Jack stood next to the fountain and looked at the large statue in the midst of the fountain, it was of Grand Master Pathos; the founder of the Bulma Academy.

(Classtime but continue what you were doing)
History
The Golden Age of Igros (or the First Age) was known when Igros was formed by Aon; the creator of all. During the Golden Ages a terrible demon raged war with the forces of Aon and the resulting war was known as the Angelic-Demonic War which lasted 1,000 years. The result was the demon known as Diablen was stripped of his phyiscal body and his spirit sealed away. From hence forth it has been written that when Diablen returns (known as the Great Revival) all shall cease to exist bringing about a new age of Igros; the Dark Ages. It is currently the Third Age of Igros or the Bronze Age and the Second Age was known as the Silver Age.

During the Silver Age the Chosen of Celestial emerged from the ashes when the dark Lord Dagor conquered all of Igros and kidnapped Princess Leyna. The Chosen of Celestial was Elijah Diadem who journeyed to the Unexplored North and found the Tower of Aon and pulled from the pedestal the sacred sword forged by Aon himself. Only the Chosen of Celestial can pull the sacred sword from its pedestal. Elijah defeated Dagor and brought peace back to Igros and with it he laid to rest the sacred sword at the tower once again.

Sebastian could not get the hang of the sacred Katana dance hit. He had to manuever through the Impaled Katana (On the ground) and pop it into the air as he gathers energy from the force and as he catches the sword, the force surges through the sword before he swings. Sebastian kept trying and trying but he kept falling on his face. He then figured that he msut rest for the festival. He wanted to meet new friends as well. (Here's a new one)
The Legend of Sefirah
Aon (god) formed Igros on the first day of the Golden Age of Igros out of nothing. Aon made the mighty Avalos to watch over Igros. The Avalos were Llunna of Light, Forrtu of Ground, Qullkin of Fire, Lumieres of Water, and Diablen of Darkness. They each now house their power in a temple across Igros hidden from all maps to only be discovered through divine power.

Aon is a being of pure light who is without sin. During the Silver Age of Igros Aon saw the error of man and wanted them to be cleansed of all their unrighteousness. So Aon took all sins of man and sealed them away forever more. Now those who cleanse their Celestial (ritual) can find themself in the right standing with Aon...expect that the seal did break.

A being was born that day during the Silver Age; the incarnation of all the dark Celestial that Aon sealed away. The child was found by an old man who raised the child and named him Sefirah. Sefirah grew up to become a powerful warrior. At the age of 8 he defeated Headmaster Smith Jones in an all out battle within two minutes. Sefirah grew quickly and became more powerful than even the Avalos themselves.

Sefirah was given the blade of darkness forged by Diablen known as the Enfer Sword to wield. Sefirah's power continued to grow soon becoming a threat to Aon himself. Sefirah then developed the darkest Celestial attack; the Dark Harvest. It feeds off the very life force of the opponent and is channeled into the Enfer Sword. The blade becomes engulfed in flames of shadow.

With that Sefirah can use the flames to cut through the very Celestial of the opponent and that becomes an instant kill. The attack cannot be blocked and so Sefirah was given the name that day as the Fallen Angel for his own power corrupted his mind when he discovered that he is nothing more than the darkness Aon threw away. Sefirah vanished before the start of the Bronze Age...no one knew what happened to him. His legend lives on...

Eve smiled at Brad as he walked back to class. She then remembered that she was training but suddenly had the urge to draw, she could never figure out these random urges but she knew she needed to train. She went back to where she was and redrew her katana as she stared at the dark black metal and sarted to get lost in her own thoughts as she tranced over all the weird engravings she has made on there for seperate reasons. She remembered the first engraving she put on the katana, it was when she had first set out on her own, she was training in the forest alone when she was attacked by a mountain lion, she had killed it but felt bad about it. So in the end she took a pieces of the animals hair on fused it into her sword and a random engraving had appeared. She then tried to draw her thoughts back to where she was and she got back into her stance ready to train.

Jack knew little about Sebastian and knew that sooner or later; if the two passed the Field Exams; they may end up in the heat of battle during the Final Exams. Jack knew that Sebastian was a skilled swordsman but he had no clue about his Celestial powers. Jack felt this would be best if he had a sparring match with him just to see what he is capable of doing...before worse comes to worse.

"Sebastian, right?" Jack asked with his eyes glarring forward not even paying attention to him. "It looks like you could use a little warm up for the Field Exams. Maybe a friendly match would get the blood flowing. What do you say?"

Brad couldn't wait for his training to start. He was just as anxious to find out what he could do in the field. He knew that it wasn't going to be something like fending off an attacker in hand-to-hand. He was going to leave that up to whoever his teammates were but he could defend from a distance.

He was learning how to focus his healing powers into his arrows. That was easier said than done. The main problem that he was having was the fact that the arrows were causing just as much damage as what ever was ailing the victim. "Gotta work on that," he said to himself.

MadMel
andrew walked over to brad.."maybe you should turn the energy into arrows, not the other way around" he suggested hopefully..

He never thought anyone would want to spare with him until the field exams would start. On that day, many would do anything for a warm up that day, even if it would be a risk they would take.

"My name is Jack O'Neil." Jack replied. Jack didn't have his sword, Saigon, with him but Jack was eagered to fight. "What do you say we fight without weapons? Just fists and our Celestial powers. Besides the weapon doesn't make the man."

Jack headed down to the training room where a sparring ring was located. A small ring about forty feet wide and forty feet long. Jack was at 100% and was eager to go toe to toe with Sebastian. And yet something felt strange about him; a dark feeling that seemed to give Jack chills. Jack wondered what it could be but decided to focus on the then and now instead of what could be.

Jack was still learning a move his brother, Aramis, developed who taught Jack before being sent off to the academy. Back then Jack had little understanding of Celestial but practiced the move each and every day. The attack's name was called the Keter and once used the power of the attack could cut through lightning bolts. Jack has never even gotten close to perfecting the attack but continued trying day in and day out.

Sebastian followed Jack to the training room. He hasn't been in the training room for quiet awhile. This is his first year here but he has visited the academy before entering it in his lower level academy's. He was amazed at the fact that this training room looks as if it has been built just yesterday. The scent was new, the floor and benches were new, and not one sccratch on the mat.

He stood looking at Jack face to face. He takes out his Katana which came with his bookbag and walks over to the side of the mat and drops it there. He walks back to his starting line and stay in postion. Sebastian now had the chance to practice the "Fall Brak" attack against Jack. It was an attack strong enough to finish the entire battle. But he was yet to master it. For now, his bestm ove was the "Yule Ball".

Sebastian: Your move....Now...

Jack didn't waste a single second quickly pushing the flow of Celestial to his legs to increase his speed but at the expense of his strength. Jack charged Sebastian moving faster than a Cheetah easily feeling in the gap and leaping into the air. Jack quickly pushed the flow to his right arm and went down to punch Sebastian. Jack knew that pushing him into a corner would force him to use his best moves which Jack wanted.

When Sebastian once saw the Celestial build up within Jack, he bulds up all the celestial that would be necessary for any attack to be reflected and not only blocking the attack but to cause effect on Jack. The Celestial was formed as Sebastian pounds both fist together and rises the aura from his feet to cover him and smirks to see the aura hit by Jack. This will engulf Jack easily. He then does a front flip heel kick at the engulfed Jack. The flames die down at the snap of his fingers.

Sebastian thought: Yes, it worked! But of course he will get up. I must stay concentrated and become more complex with my attacks and I will easily win....Oh boy, I cannot wait for the exams!

Sebastian's confidence was his true weakness.

Festival of the Moon (since it starts tomorrow I figured the lesson would be on it)
The Festival of the Moon is used to celebrate the creation of the Bulma Academy. The academy was started because of the actions of the first Headmaster; Pathos. Pathos' power was legendary. The first class of students had only two in it. That was nearly 1,000 years ago and now the Bulma Academy has grown with the number of students now just above 2,000 and still growing.

Jack recovered from the attack quickly. He looked upon Sebastian with cold, emotionless eyes. Jack seemed to be focused on trying to get the best of Sebastian out no matter what. Jack jumped up going above Sebastian. Jack landed behind him and quickly gathered Celestial to his feet and quickly released it causing a shockwave of energy surrounding Jack striking Sebastian from behind. Jack turned ready for a counter attack.

((Since the lack of posting from Seth Wynd, I will just say we sparred for about half an hour before Eve returned to her room for the rest of the day to rest because I have no idea of when he will be posting again))

Eve made her way to her room. She walked in and set her things uncaring on the floor when she walked in, her room was a mess, papers and drawings were sprawled all over her room along with books and clothing, she wasnt very organized right now. She laid on her bed and closed her eyes and gave a satisfied sigh when she felt the comfort of her pillow.

She was asleep for about five minutes before another nightmare struck her and she woke up with a started. She looked around finally remembering where she was as she was breathing heavy. She decided sleep will have to wait till later.

She got up and grabbed just her sketchbook and something to draw with and snuck around trying to avoid people, she needed a new hiding spot where she could draw since she could never draw in her room since she felt confined. She made her way quickly to the garden and hid once again behind all sorts of huge flowers, she smiled as she noticed orchids in one of the bushes, there was only one but to her the beauty stuck out more then the hundreds of others.

She smiled at a memory of the first time she saw an orchid, she was in the forest traveling alone when she was about 7 years old. She found a small orchid, it had a range of red to orange to yellow and in the sun it gave a glow that to her resembled fire, she had plucked it and brought it back to her father who had put it in a book and flattened it for her, she never understood why though.

She brought out her sketchbook and started to draw the orchid but instead of being alone, she drew a field of orchids and her she was sitting in the middle of them, of course she knew this drawing would take forever for her to finish so she got in a more comfortable position and continued on her work.

Fireworks lit up the night sky around the academy. The Festival of the Moon had begun. Students, Cielo Warriors, and Masters gathered around the garden. Headmaster Quiin stood off to the side with his council secretly talking to one another. The Festival of the Moon also signaled the end of the training period for this Friday the test would be given and Monday; the Field Exams begin.

Eve finished her drawing and head back to her room from the garden, she wanted to paint her picture so the colors would be more out there like she wanted.

She reached her room and set her sketchbook down as she sighed, she would first have to FIND the paint supplies before she could paint her picture. She dug through her room making it worse then before untill she found what she was looking for.

Eve started painting her picture with her best and brightest colors and when she finished she decided not to wait for it to naturally dry so she used her celestial magic to dry it.

She rolled the painting up and put it in a container (for paintings or artwork) and rested the strap on he shoulder as she headed out of her room towards the garden, she wanted to see her painting compared to the garden now that it had colors.

Jack managed to cover his face with his arms before the attack struck him sending him into the wall. Because of the impact Jack managed to remain standing. He stumbled a bit before finding his balance. Jack was impressed that he managed to duplicate his attack so quickly. Jack learned a lot of Sebastian just from that single attack.

"We shouldn't overdo. Save it for the finals." Jack replied. He lowered his guard and continued, "I think that's enough for one day."

With that Jack made his way to the exit of the training room.

Sebastian knew that the celestial he used has been mastered. Luckily, he still had an attack that he has not used just yet. He turns around and left on the opposite exit, limping away.

Headmaster Quiin sat silently in his office at the top of the Bulma Academy. The doors opened and in came Locke Cole and Cecil Harvey; two of the top Cielo Masters at the academy. They stood side by side in front of the desk that Quiin sat at looking over some papers of students. Most was on the student; Sebastian. Headmaster Quiin has also taken interest into Jack O'Neil because he has high hopes for him because his older brother, Aramis, is called the greatest Cielo Master of the Bronze Age.

"Does the boy know?" Cecil asked. Quiin stood up and turned to face the window behind him that overlooked the garden nearly four stories below. He could see it filled with students preparing for the Festival of the Moon.

"...no." Quiin replied. "Have either of you found an alternative yet? We cannot keep doing this to people?"

"No," both answered together.

"Then the spirit of darkness must continue to reside in a human vessel." Quiin responded.

"It's dangerous to let him learn to harness Celestial; you know that Headmaster Quiin. I don't need to remind you of what happened 200 years ago," Locke replied.

"It was because the vessel then didn't know how to use his Celestial. When it started to overload he had no idea what to do. If we teach him he'll be more than capable of handling that situation," Cecil answered.

"Not if his rage blinds him," Locke said.

"Enough..." Quiin said. "Head out and keep an eye on them. Locke because of your mastery of control I'll make sure Sebastian is placed into your party for the Field Exams. And you Cecil, you have taken a keen interest into the younger brother of Aramis. His bloodline has a rich history so I shall make sure Jack is assigned to your team. Now leave me to my studies."

With that Locke and Cecil left the Headmaster's Office.

Jack returned to the garden to see that most of the decorations for the Festival of the Moon completed. The stage was set and was undergoing the last maintenance since tomorrow was the day for the Festival. The Cielo Master overlooking the completion of the garden was Master Helen Deville. She stood on the stage barking orders to the students.

Jack turned around and headed back into the academy figuring that he could use some studying and decided to head off to the library. Jack walked into the library and gazed through the books looking for something of interest and what caught his gaze was the book the Dark Lord.

spongeherbob
Eve crawled out of her space in the garden where she was hiding, it was hard to concentrate on her drawings when people were setting up for the festival. She looked at the decorations before sighing and sat down on a random bench and stared down at her katana, she wanted to fight, she wanted to get stronger and avenge her father, but she knew she wasnt ready which tore her heart up at the thought that she would never be strong enough. A small droplet fell onto the unsheathed blade and suddenly another engraved design appeared on her blade, but it wasnt just an engraving, it was a kanji symbol of power. Thats when she knew she had to get stronger, she NEEDED to. She felt the want to suddenly fight but she knew now wasnt the time, the festival was going to be starting soon and she had to get ready. She stood up and made her way to her room to get ready, she hide her face as she walked because she didnt want anyone see the tears in her eyes.

Sebastian entered the festival in crutches. He was very embrassed by the fact that he was in crutches and showed that he might not be able to make it to the exams. However, he was only on going to be on crutches for 2 days to get tow joints in proper place. He walked around the garden, smiling at the scenery and decorations made. Hel ooked around to find other students he can socialize with. But this time, he was alot more shy than before being handicapped by the battle against Jack

andrew followed brad to the gardens to watch the fireworks.."only a few more days" he said, just so only he and brad could hear him over the explosions..."then maybe i can live up to my family's name..." "What do mean," Brad asked. He was also wondering where Eve was. He knew that she liked to hang out in her room a lot and draw but who would want to miss the Festival of the Moon. "You know what," he said to Andy, "You can tell me that while we go get Eve."

spongeherbob
Eve was sitting on her bed, she was ready to go to the festival but she still felt down from her earlier thoughts. She looked down at herself, she felt so odd having to wear nice clothing, she was so used to her shorts and a halter top with her katana at her side with her sketchbook bag hanging on her shoulder. She looked at herself in the dark blue dress that reached just above her knees and the light blue corset that rested on the outside of her spagetti strap dress that showed a little too much cleavage compared to her usual outfit. She wasnt wearing any shoes nor had she planned on it, the festival was in the garden and she usually ran around barefoot anyway. She slightly touched her dark brown almost black hair that sat in a bun with loose strands to frame her face that held little make-up, she felt fake at the least. She knew she never dressed this way and also knew this wasnt her. A droplet fell from her navy blue eyes which she quickly wiped before it messed up what little make-up she was wearing.

She started to feel like she should just stay in her room for the rest of the night and draw some more. She didnt know too many people there anyway, she knew they would give her strange looks at her appearance, she hasnt really dressed up since her father had dressed her up for the town celebration. She shook her head as she tried to remove thoughts of her father right now.

Eve sighed as she figured she would go in a little bit, she secretly hoped she would forget and just not go anyway, she really hadnt been to any sort of celebration since her father died and she felt she was leaving him behind. She once again forced her thoughts back down, she really needed to find something else to think about. Another teardrop fell but she wiped it away once again, maybe she would go to the festival just to keep her thoughts on something less depressing she thought with a small sad laugh. She reached in her pack and pulled out something she has never shown anyone, it was a black ocarina. She put it to her lips and played a small quiet song.

Brad heard the most beautiful music as he and Andy reached Eve's room. He knew the the girl liked to remain by herself and it intrigued him. He would have to ask her later. But now, all he wanted to do was get Eve and go to the festival. He knocked on the door and impatiently awaited her answer.

Eve heard a knock on her door and quickly put her ocarina back in her pack and walked towards the door. She quickly glanced at the mirror to make sure nobody could tell she had cried and opened the door to see Brad looking impatient. She didnt know why he was here, maybe he was here to bother her about the festival. She suddenly felt embarassed about how she looked, she figured someone would make fun of her, she was just hoping he wouldn't. "What is it Brad?" she asked quietly.

Sebastian: Does any one have a type of healing Celestial!!!!

Sebastian said aloud through the crowds in the Festival as they were seeing the unique parade. It flashed out causing your mind to blare out at the greatness of the decorations and colors they put in it. Sebastian was trying to look for someone to heal him.

ESB -1138
(Festival hasn't started yet)

Dr. McGurr; the academy's doctor who is a master at healing Celestial was amongst the crowd at the garden helping Master Helen prepare for the Festival, heard Sebastian's yell. She made her way over to him and examined him on crutches.

"...well what happened to you?" she asked adjusting her glasses as she looked at him.

~~~~~~~~~~
Jack returned to the fountain in front of the academy. He looked at the statue of Pathos and wondered what happened with the dark Lord of old. Jack decided that it would be best to practice what he was going to play tomorrow for the Festival of the Moon. Jack still had no clue what to play. He returned to his room and sat his keyboard on the bed and looked through his music sheets.
"...should I just do Everybody Loves You Now? It would seem like the best choice since it is a festival...but maybe I should do something that has a bit more...heart to it," Jack said to himself randomly striking keys as he scanned through the piles of music sheet he has. He started to play a jazz solo on the keyboard without even thinking about it and right then and there he knew what to play.
Sebastian encountered an old homeless man in an alley just a block from the academy. who had the healing celestial. Sebastian was out of crutches but he was then surprised by what the old man told him.
Old man: The legend of Sefirah is very sacred due to the fact of the evil within his celestial powers. He holds the Dark harvest which feeds off the life source of his challenger. He was said to be vanished from the villagers knowledge and I feel him hunting for our people......
Sebastian: Do you have nay idea where I can find him....
Old man: No, but may Aon (God) be with you. And hopefully shall we live without out fear of chaos.
Sebastian walked away form the old Man without saying thank you and was on his way to the academy from his recess time. He was very interested by the story of Sefirah and had the legend in mind. He wondered however, if he was really gone from anyone's knowledge.
Tina, a young girl with red, faire hair and a faint smile on her face, walked trough the hallway. She had a bag over her shoulder that she held steady with her free hand. Her eyes was deep into a book that she had borrowed. It supposivly would have providen her usefull tips and trix on how to manage the field exams. She had been impatiently waiting for this day since she started the academy. Her thoughts were focused on the book as she wandered trough the building. Little did she know that there were a couple of janitor tools further ahead.
Innocently she walked straight into them, hitting the broomstick with her foot. Panicing by the sudden surpsise, she stumbled over all the tools. She lost balance but tried her darnest not to fall. To little use was it, as keeping balance was never really her thing. She fell backwards, trying to keep a grip of the book that was slipping out of her hand. Making a rough bump into the ground on her butt, she gave out a sharp yelp. She grabbed her book and held it tight towards her chest, as she carefully stumbled back up on her feet. Her butt ached and she limped a little as she started walking again, again not watching her steps.
Walking straight into the same bucket that she stumbled over earlier caused a second yelp and the girl fell once more. This time forward instead of backwards, dropping the book that slid along the floor. She herself landed on her stomach and for a second, lost her breath. Not only did she drop her book, but also her bag. She observed it fly trough the air and as it was about to land next to her, she extended her arms and caught it. She let out a deep breath of relief, as she heard a splitting sound. The little hole of the bag that occured from her training, that she had sewed together just yesterday, split open. Her books and papers, along with her comb and mirror all slid out on the hallway floor in a straight line, spreading out in front of her.
She laid silent for a moment, just staring at her now empty bag and all the stuff in front of her that was spread along the hallway. She then ran her head into the floor, staring blankly into it before closing her eyes. There was one reoccuring question that came into her mind as she started weeping.
"Why always me?"
She simply laid on the ground, trying to gather enough energy and bravery to get up. There was no telling that she would not simply stumble again and once more hurt herself. She was such a loser.
Eve smiled and nodded her head as she started out in the hallway. She then remembered that she now has to explain the song she was playing on her ocarina, she turned towards him while walking "Well, the song I was playing was a song my mother had taught me before she died on my 6th birthday, the same days I finally learned about my powers" she said as she started to go over the memory in her head, she didnt know why she was telling him everything but she figured someone out in the world should know, she was tired of carrying her past alone. "She showed me how to play it but I was never good at playing it, to inspire me she even bought me a new ocarina, it was baby blue with a green design, not as pretty as hers though" she said with a smile not realizing that Brad has successfully pulled her from bad memories and into good ones, she was feeling better. "She would always fuss when she caught me drawing instead of practicing but she never minded it when I would show her my drawings" her face slightly fell, she never did like showing others her drawings after her mother died, she guessed that was why.
Eve shook her head and smiled at him "The song was apparantly passed down in my family, it is said that the original song had beautiful lyrics but for some reason people stopped singing them, but I never paid too much attention to that, the song seemed beautiful and strange" she gave a sad smile "I guess I only truly knew how to play it after she died"
Jack picked up Tina's book and knelt down beside her. He saw most of what just happened but not everything, "need some help?" Jack asked as he looked at her fallen belongings. Jack didn't know Tina that well but he wouldn't let her fall and not lend a helping hand.
C. C. Cowgirl
Tina raised her head as she heard Jack's voice. She wiped the tears of her eyes and cheek and met his question with a smile. Anything to hide the fact that a simple thing like this could cause tears in the girl's eyes. A smile and a blush. He must have considered her just as much a loser as she considered herself. She stumbled over a bucket and a broom, for heavens sake. She lowered her head again to avoid eye-contact. She was ashamed of being embaressed and she was ashame of being so clumsy. This was the kind of things she had been doing all life and that her siblings made fun of her for.
"It would be nice, yes"
Her voice was weak, almost whispering. She gently removed the book from his hands, still looking down onto the floor. She carefully put the book into the bag, but it fell right down and out trough the hole on the bottom of the bag. She fought more tears to not have him see how sad she was over such a minor. She gently picked the book up again, putting it under her arm. She ran her hand into the bag to check about the hole. And indeed, the hole had gone larger. It was more a tiny tunnle than a bag for the time being. She was so embaressed.
"On second thought. You probably have better things to do. I can handle this"
She said, looking into her bag.
"No, I really have nothing to do for the rest of the day," Jack replied. Jack started to gather up her papers that fell from her bag. The scattered around everywhere and a few got soaked because of the water that fell out of the bucket.
Eve smiled and nodded her head as she started out in the hallway. She then remembered that she now has to explain the song she was playing on her ocarina, she turned towards him while walking "Well, the song I was playing was a song my mother had taught me before she died on my 6th birthday, the same days I finally learned about my powers" she said as she started to go over the memory in her head, she didnt know why she was telling him everything but she figured someone out in the world should know, she was tired of carrying her past alone. "She showed me how to play it but I was never good at playing it, to inspire me she even bought me a new ocarina, it was baby blue with a green design, not as pretty as hers though" she said with a smile not realizing that Brad has successfully pulled her from bad memories and into good ones, she was feeling better. "She would always fuss when she caught me drawing instead of practicing but she never minded it when I would show her my drawings" her face slightly fell, she never did like showing others her drawings after her mother died, she guessed that was why.
Eve shook her head and smiled at him "The song was apparantly passed down in my family, it is said that the original song had beautiful lyrics but for some reason people stopped singing them, but I never paid too much attention to that, the song seemed beautiful and strange" she gave a sad smile "I guess I only truly knew how to play it after she died" Brad was sorry for Eve but he didn't want make her feel as if he was feeling pity for her. "Well," he said, "I'm just going to have to work that much harder to make you feel better today, huh? Well let's see what I can do.
"How do you feel about international food. There's this little place that I know that my dad used to take me and my mom to when I was younger. He died so I know how you feel. But I don't want you moping, so I'll just leave that subject alone." He was sticking his foot in his mouth again.
andrew kept going to the end of the dummy practice..the last one was tricky, it had waves of dummies in a circle , set on on automated dolly's, moving inward towards the person...normally, this would be the hardest, but andrew was calm..this one, in his opinion, was the most fun, and one of the easiest...
andrew relaxed, and drew his celestial energy around him...in a flash, he spun in a circle, swinging his hammer with all his strength..needless to say, the 1st wave was sent flying..in 10 swings, there was nothing but scattered dummies and half, broken dolly's strewn all over the floor..andrew left the room grinning..that was too easy he thought to himself..I'm not getting the real practice i should be getting..
Eve smiled at Brad, she just remembered that she hadnt ate since morning and she was hungry. Her stomach gave a big growl of approval about the thought of food. Eve blushed and scratched the back of her neck sheepishly "Sure, I had forgotten to eat today anyway" she said quetly as she lowered her hand "Well, since I dont know the direction, I guess I will be following you" she said gaining a smile again
Sebastian sat outside in a very isolated spot, meditating for now. He wanted to relax his mind for now and keep himself from any grueling training for today. He did not want to do anything he will regret by injuring himself. Sebastian opened one eyes, sensing a chirp on his right side. He turns his head to the right to see a unique looking bird stand on his shoulder.
Sebastian: Nothing in our world is isolated when even animals and all living creatures can enter wherever.
Headmaster Quiin sat silently in his office waiting to begin the final gathering before the Field Exams. In came Master Cecil, Locke, Helen, and all the other Cielo Masters who would be leading the teams in this year's Field Exams. On Quiin's desk was a pile of paper that was already people sending in missions for the students from all over Bulma Island. Quiin stood up and started.
"We have finally come to the last stages before the Field Exams. This is a critical moment for these students. This will make or break them. Many will discover that they are not fit to become Cielo Warriors...while very few will find the strength they need to make it," Quiin paused for a moment. "We have some we need to keep an eye on. These students could prove to be a great asset...or a terrible threat. The Field Exams is the final transaction from child to adult. Only the strong can survive this. We have had many...many die in the past from the Field Exams. Students will die again this year...there's nothing that can be done about that.
"But we must prepare these students the best we can during the Field Exams. Pushing them beyond their limits. Master Cecil, Master Locke, and Mistress Helen...you three will give out the test this Wednesday. Remember which students to keep your eye on. Sebastian, the younger brother of Aramis, and Eve. I can see a grand future for them all...or a terrible one for us."
Quiin turned around and prepared to give an announcement to the entire academy. The masters lined up single file and took a sheet of paper from the pile and headed off. Cecil, Locke, and Helen were the last three ones up but they did not leave. Quiin sat down and begun to address the academy.
"This is Headmaster Quiin speaking," the sound of his voice echoed throughout the halls of the academy. "Tomorrow is the Festival of the Moon. It is a celebration of the completion of the Bulma Academy. Wednesday the Team Tests will be given and the results for that test will determine who you are grouped with. The groups will try to be balanced based on the results of the test. Then on Sunday the teams shall be announced. Monday the Field Exams begin. Those students not willing to take the Field Exams have till Wednesday to back down.
"For if you take the test your fate is sealed. I'm not going to try to tell you that the Field Exams will be easy...for this is a very dangerous month for you. Many students have died in the past. I understand fully if you do not think you are ready. If you have no belief in yourself just yet then you have no chance to make it. May Aon watch over each of you and allow him to lead you. Thank you."
Quiin turned to face Cecil, Locke, and Helen who still stood side by side in his office. Each one was well known for a different trait. Cecil is known for his fighting styles, Locke is known for being able to control the elements, and Helen is known for her powerful healing abilities mixed with grand offensive attacks.
"Well..." Helen said pausing for a moment. "We shall see how many shall pull out for the Field Exams."
"We've done all we could," Locke replied. "It was all up to the students to take what we taught and apply it. If they didn't it was because they were lazy and had their mind focused on the wrong things."
"Sounds cruel," Helen said, "but that's the truth."
"You know what to do," Quiin said. All three nodded and left his office. Quiin sat silently looking out his window which overlooked the garden. The festival was all ready and all that was left to do was wait till tomorrow when the festival started. Quiin has watched some great students go off into the Field Exams and try a mission that was beyond their limits and die because of it.
"No, I really have nothing to do for the rest of the day," Jack replied. Jack started to gather up her papers that fell from her bag. The scattered around everywhere and a few got soaked because of the water that fell out of the bucket.
Tina took a paper up and observed the soaked thing as it dripped. She sighed before starting to gather all of the paper. Most of it was notes and texts that would help her out in the test and she shook her head slowly, as she folded them and put them in her pocket. They sure would not stay in her bottomless bag if she put them there. She raised her head and looked at Jack.
"Thank you"
Her voice was quiet, yet a tad bit comforted by the fact that he helped her out.
She arched her ear as she heard the speakers of the school activate. It was Master Quiin with a briefing of the week scheduele. The festival seemed like a fun event and Tina had looked forward going to it. The only thing that was a bit sad, was the fact that she had no-one to...... She stopped her thinking and stared blankly into the ground. Her cheeks turned into a gentle, rose red color.
"Listen. Are you going to the festival with someone? I have no one to go with. So I was thinking that since I do not have someone to go with, that means I was going alone. If I was going alone then there would be room for someone else- By my side- When I go- to the festival- tomorrow- by my own- without anyone- Unless. So I thought that maybe you would like tooooo........- "
She paused and looked up, into his eyes. An icecold chill went trough her body as she broke eye-contact. What was she thinking? So stupid. He would never go with her.
She quickly looked back down, gathered the final books and had them wrapped inside her arms. Her papers was put into her pockets quickly, messy, sloppy, as she got up on her feet.
"- ..... Nevermind. Thank you for the help with the books and papers!"
"You stupid Tina" She kept thinking to herself as she turned her back on Jack and started walking with tense, quick steps, hugging her unfortunatly wet books tight. By hugging something tight, it always helped her to fight of stupid emotions for minor things.
Bralor stood inside of a training room, as he had been doing for most of his stay here so far. He was using his red sword, which had a slight glow to it. It was made from a type of ruby crystalline-titanium alloy, etched with symbols of the ancient Maldarians, which gave it special properties. He hadn't really understood what these properties were, so he ignored it mostly.
As he used his scimitar to slice down on the dummies, his precision was improved. Bralor could slice at every joint, at every exact location to make his enemy bleed profusely, drop their weapon, or take off their limb or head, killing them.
