Is Gail Simone the best female writer in Comic book history I can't really think of any one better.

Are there any other female writers out there?. Not trying to sound sexist or anything but i can't think of any at the moment.

sure Jen Van Meter (Greg Rucka's Wife) Lea Hernandaz and Devin Grayson.

There are probably more I just don't know about

Devin Grayson doesn't deserve to be mentioned. Simone is probably the best but she doesn't have much competition.

Women can't be comic book writers. Why? Because women suck and don't know how to write a comic book that appeals to the target audience.

I smell bullshit. If it's not then I guess the target audience has turned into a bunch of queers.

!980's-90's, most prominent female writer was Jo Duffy. Her stories were wonderfully funny and entertaining. She had a very long run on Marvel's STAR WARS, plus titles like POWER MAN & IRON FIST, AKIRA, PUNISHER, WOLVERINE, when she wasn't working as an editor. She also worked on BATMAN and CATWOMAN at DC. Haven't seen her for several years now.
