The bible is like a cheap sci-fi movie.

Were the population of an entire planet is represented by just one or two people. Like Adam and Eve, they were just the two that got cast for the roles. There would have had to be more than just two.

LOL, the bible is OK as a sci-fi movie, but man oh man, wait till you see the Ramayana and the Bhagawat-Gita( hindu texts). They got floating rocks, space shaips, nukes, giants, 10 headed monsters that can regenerate, heroes with heat seeking arrows, women with steel fingers..............woohooo its all there.

I am hindu, very very very proud of my religion, absolutely adore those two books i mentioned. But that idea of it in a Fantasitcal movie has been swimming in my head for a while now.

yeah it would. i'm always dissappointed with those religious epc movies they show from india. They could kick some serious butt with the proper CG. hehehehe

I don't see how can anyone be nice when you put the criticism of "cheap" in the title. Basically you're belittle the book by putting that word there. Had you left it as "The Bible is like a sci-fi movie" (Which btw- It makes more sense to call it a book) Would be a bit more fair. But no biggie 😉

However, I'll go along with the joke...If all it takes to create a human being is a mother and father...then what more can you do with a male and female? I think that's the best way to start telling a story of generations by begining with the original mom and dad. Doesn't look cheap to me.

Now if you want to jump to cheap sci-fi you could go with the The Noble Eightfold Path

The word cheap was not meant to denigrate the bible, it was meant to describe a type of sci-fi movie. You could replace the word with "paper back" or "B" or "low budget".

My point is, I think that there are some places in the bible were one or two people are meant to represent a large number of people, or all the people.

I won't say much relevant to the Topic...since I don't see it's relevance to...well...anything....but, if at all, The Bible wouldn't be considered a Science Fiction book but a Fantasy one...big difference. Just making sure you know.
