Crystal-Crystal possesses the power to manipulate the elements. Originally, she was a girlfriend of the Human Torch, though the two had a star-crossed romance as the Inhumans were trapped behind an impenetrable barrier for much of that time. She later married the Avenger Quicksilver. The pair have had a rocky marriage, at several points separating, and are currently estranged. They have a daughter, Luna, who is a normal human child despite her superhuman parentage. Crystal has been a member of the Fantastic Four and the Avengers during her heroic career.

Storm-Ororo is a mutant with the psionic ability to manipulate the weather within roughly a mile proximity of her person. With great concentration, she could expand her ability over much greater areas, even a large portion of the coast of the continental United States. Along with concentration, hand gestures usually accompany thoughts, but are not necessary. When controlling weather elements, her eyes illuminate a white color and aura. She can manifest any degree of wind or temperature, lightning, storms and all manner of precipitation, tornadoes and small hurricanes. Storm actually has the ability to affect the weather on a global scale, but does not because she is very environmentally conscious. Her psychically linked to the weather patterns of Earth, allowing her to command meteorological energy patterns to raise or lower temperature levels, direct air currents as hurricane-force winds, a pressure dome that can deflect attacks, or to maneuver herself through the sky, excite electron particles to call down lightning bolts, scramble incoming psionic assaults, or fire electrical blasts from her fingertips, and summon clouds as fog cover or in order to bring forth precipitation such as rain, snow, sleet, and hail, alter her body temperature to compensate for weather conditions, and can manipulate her own perceptions to see electrical energy and the factors behind weather phenomena
