I was wondering the other day, which superhero DC should make a movie of next, and I suddenly thought how good a well-made green arrow movie would be.

It would have to be done right though.
Some things I would suggest for it to work well are:

1.Dont make it TOO corny
2.Tame down the uniform. Modernise it or get rid of it alltogether.
3.Dont give him any superpowers
4.GIve him a modern composite longbow/arrow, not the old wooden type
5.Focus on the cynicysm and liberalism of the charachter.
6.Have him be witty, but not too unserious.


Think of 'the punisher' film, but with a bit of wit and cynacism thrown in to develop the charachter more than they did on that film

Interesting... they could do a Green Lantern/ Green Arrow film if thee 2 franchises got good... that'd rock!

Despite being owned by the same media company for decades, no DC character team-up film has happened. Or will happen. If they cancelled the idea of Batman vs. Superman, no one else will get a sniff.
Green Arrow on his own, only. Yes, make the costume look real not fancy, and I wonder how the tone should be. He's a billionaire who became a socialist radical, and he uses a bow on criminals. Something like a Robin Hood in modern times?

I think he should be shown as a former olympic gold-medallist who has become an alcoholic/sexoholic, and becomes a superhero to find some meaning in his life. The film should start out with him as an alcoholic loser, and he has to find his heroic side once again

Yeah! To be fair... being a sexaholic aint necessarily a bad thing

That is, if you can win the girls it's good...
