From what i've heard.

Man, my rating better go up at least a couple notches once I'm done.

I'm bumping it to a 7 Khell (a respectable score). Though I pretty much have to go off of sheer volume of posts and scans (since "grading" scan quality is nigh-impossible) and any of the 8's and 9's will tell you that it takes a while to reach the upper tiers....and you basically have to have no life to get a 10.

actually it wasn't ...

the only fan voted fights were the top 5 ... the other six fights were just worked out to stalemate 3 - 3 so that the fan votes could decide the final outcome

I've done away with the ratings. My apologies to anyone who liked them, but I just don't have the time nor the will to check everything I need to to keep them updated and accurate. This will avoid problems, and also give me less to worry about on the forums.

I do, however, still have a list of recommendations at the bottom of threads I find particularly good. This will be easier to maintain, but still give credit to the best respect threads.

Basically, I make the call.

But if you'll look at nearly any of the recommended threads, they usually have hundreds of scans (I'd say the low end for a recommendation is about 50-60, but most are well over that). Threads like Namor, Alpha Flight, and Spawn single-handedly make a case for nothing else being recommended at all (all 3 have several hundred scans and multiple pages of info). And they (usually) have very neat layouts as well. And some (like the Spider-Man thread for example) have lots of pages of no scans, but there's over 100 on page one, so it's easy to find a lot without sifting through random discussion.

The Eradicator thread is good, and the layout is fine too (you don't have to search for pages to find scans). So I have no problem with it, and not being recommended doesn't mean the thread is bad, but it's not quite there.

Ah, I see. Unfortunately, the characters I've chosen to represent don't quite have enough material for that many scans.

Not a problem. And don't worry, lots of people have that problem....but anyone who wants to know about Eradicator will visit it anyway, so I doubt no recommendation will change much. The recs are just my way of subtly congratulating those who have put together nice respect threads and taken the time to scan in so many pics....but they don't really mean much else.

These respect threads should get a lot of hits during the current tourney... they're going to be a great resource for scans and feats
