Seriously. What say you?

I say Sean Penn in "The Assassination of Richard Nixon", when he tries to phone Marie, and her mother won't let him speak to her, and he throws the phone, screaming, then breaks down.

Now, if you're thinking about saying some stupid shit like DeNiro in "Analyze This", don't even bother..

DeVi| D0do
Robert DeNiro in Analyze This. Tee hee.

Jim Carrey has a good cry in Dumb & Dumber...

Seriously, any fool can cry... Comedy, now that requires talent.

BackFire
Anthony Hopkins - Elephant Man. When he sees Merick and sheds a tear. Just poetic.

Edward Nortan - American History X. When he finds out his brother has been killed at the end.

Thomas Hayden Church - Sideways. The scene where he confesses his self loathing to Paul Giamatti.

Brad Pitt - Se7en. Towards the end when he finds out his wife has been murdered, and by killing Jon Doe, he'd be giving him what he wants. Outstanding scene.

Sir Whirlysplat
Charlton Heston in loads of films not only does that guy love guns, he loves crying!

Wolfie
Edward Norton in American History X when he covers his tattoo.

Brian O'Halloran in Vulgar when he trashes his house.

Hayden Christensen gets a "most consistent" award for SW: AOTC.

GCG
Sean Penn - I am Sam

Mel Gibson - Ransom

DarkWizard
How about....

Russel Crowe - Gladiator - Gets back to his family

Sean Penn - Mystic River - Finds out his daughter was killed

Harvey Keitel - Reservoir Dogs -The End (would you consider that crying?)

Matt Dillon - The Outsiders - Johnny Dead

River Phoenix - Stand By Me - The Campfire

Mel Gibson in Signs - a lot of people hate on this movie, but that whole scene at the dinner table...profoundly moving

laughing out loud I second you on Jim Carrey's Dumb and Dumber cry. rolling on floor laughing

Coincidentally I was just thinking about Mel's cry in Signs before I even read your post, so I'll simply second that one as well.

Um...as for my own opinion I'll go with Sam's cry as Frodo told him to go home and left him to weep as he climbed the long winding Stairs to the tunnel. Touching sad

a1hsauce
Dumb and dumber was just moving stick out tongue

I saw Munich last night and i have to say when Eric Bana starts to cry when hes on he phone with his lil girl...that was actually pretty good

Impediment
-Mel Gibson from "The Patriot" after Heath Ledger dies. I almost lost it!

-I agree with BackFire about Hopkins' from "The Elephant Man", very moving.

Hanks is just amazing in that scene.

I also thought Sean Astin in ROTK just before they destroy the ring when he says "let us be rid of it, once and for all."

Sean Penn in Mystic River when he says "I can't even cry for my own daughter"(while crying)

Liam Neesan in Schindler's List whe he says "I could have got more out."

She wasn't dead, just near dead I think, he takes her to the healing place and they fix her back up, but I don't think she was all the way dead yet...

I was about to say. No one mentioned MCD in Green Mile yet? As for mine, I'd have to go with Gladiator. The scene where Maximus finds his family. Yeah.
