Just like TCM-The Origin, it sounds like their is going to be another Jason film this year, focusing on the origins of Jason and his mother.

There is a new Halloween film coming out.

Halloween & Friday The 13th films really need to stop being made. Halloween should have ended with the 2nd one & The final chapte should have killed Jason off for good.

True, this F13 shouldn't happen but I'm in high hopes that the next Halloween will end the series at a better note than Halloween: Resurrection did.

Halloween 9 better be an awsome film if it's to end the series coz i hope it is the last one. For me the Halloween series have been the weakest of the horror franchise, so hopefully we get a really cool one to end it all.

Yeah, only a few of the Halloween movies were any good and IMO, aren't as good as movies from the other franchises.

I still don't think Michael Myers should be made to be a monster who never dies, He's just human. Why can no one kill him

Freddy vs. Jason was great. There were some cool fights between them and Freddy was funny as always.

Jason X is only enjoyable if you don't take it seriously. Learn to laugh at it and enjoy it as a horror/comedy.

I don't like many horror films that come out in the cinema these days. I prefer straight to dvd or video horrors.

whyyyy F13 has gone on too damn long kiil him off for christ sakes man, i mean they have made like what 12 they have more movies than land before time kill them off once and for all i thought the way they would kill them off would be to fight off one another but no that didnt kill old Kruger off so how will they die their gonna have to nuke 'em or something none the less it would be kool to see the three killers be well killed i mean you no they will come back so the endings are never dramatic. They cant be too strong since they always are killed by small town people.

I never said Jason was entertaining but as bad and boring as Jason is Michael Myers is much worse.

only a few comments on this because im trying to stay on topic. Have you ever watched Halloween ? I mean Ever? Did you pay attention ?? Please watch them again if you think he is a vagina... please do ... in the most of the films .. you see he is sooo good that he has sneaked up on EVERYONE ... you see him ALWAYS there .. just waiting ... silent .. even in the same room,., he has the best stealth skillz of any killer i can think of


To the people pissing on Friday the 13th .. . what do you think is the Roots of horror for our generation ?? primarily Fri 13th, Halloween, and Nightmare on elm street series ... lots of fantastic scenes and gore throughout the films and they really carried the horror genre through the 80s.. Not saying they are all exceptionally made films.. Just stop pissin on our roots plzzzzz

FRIDAY THE 13TH ONCE AGAIN PT 2: ELECTRIC BOOGALOO

Alex reported, last week, that a new FRIDAY THE 13TH film was greenlit by NewLine for a Friday October, 13th 2006 release date. Well here's an update.

It seems that Platinum Dunes, Michael Bay's low budget horror specialist production company, is tackling the fast-tracked project. It seems fitting, since they've remade THE AMITYVILLE HORROR and THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE and are currently working on TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE: THE BEGINNING. But it seems, by the way it's been described, that this new installment of the series is to be an origin piece.

We knew who was writing the screenplay a few days ago but weren't supposed to say anything. But since Variety is running it... A CHUD Correspondant from the old days, Mark (Smilin' Jack Ruby) Wheaton is hard at work! I met Mark at Fangoria a few years ago. He is a huge FRIDAY THE 13TH fan. So, the script is in good hands.

Do know that the body count is supposed to be HIGH. Like really high, in the 40s. There are also rumours that the film may not make the Oct release date (the next Friday the 13th is in April '07). But it is way too early to tell.
