Loved the fight with U.S. Agent. Cap is definately the bravest of the brave when it comes to fights. This guy decided to go toe to toe with Terrax. Holy Crap. He also tends to own just about anyone that gets in his way.

In all seriousness though, I think it speaks for itself when he's one of the least powerful Avengers, but he's their leader.

Cap doesnt need respect. He has one of the the best winning track records in comics.

It becomes even more impressive when we know the level he is.

Powers
Captain America represents the pinnacle of human physical perfection, although he is somewhat enhanced. He can lift a sum greater than 1100 lbs and has been known to lift closer to 5+ tons under optimal conditions.

he was originally meant to be the epitome of "peak human" enhancements. as fast/strong/etc as any regular man could hope to be. he got there through certain means a regular person couldn't access, but still. he wasn't supposed to be superhuman. the feats in which he lifted more than he should weren't weighed on-panel, it's just people picking weights out of thin air due to what it looks like. the panel exaggerated cap's strength, the fans made it worse, and now cap's "supposedly" superhuman due to a blurb written by a marvel fan and approved by marvel.com.

what does this mean , is the 5 ton theory true?

Captain America is so awesome. He's the Superman for Marvel comics, somebody every hero aspires to be and who gives inspiration to the public. My absolute favorite moment of his, I wish I had the scan to show it, was near the end of the infinity gauntlet where every other hero was defeated except for him, and he cooly walks up to Thanos, a being who now had the powers of a god, and without hesitation stands up to him. Truly awesome.

Another great moment was in some Avenger comic I read sometime, where the scene mentioned that as Cap entered a room with all of the Avengers inside, even the Gods moved aside for him, referring to Namor and Thor. Now that's respect.

Some respect thread, I was surprised a big Cap fan didn't throw TONS of scans down.

This is a show of Caps strength and speed. Basically hes been rushed by these soldiers and one of them has just put a gun to his head. Not only is Cap fast enough to react before he can pull the trigger his strength sends these guys flying. That strength level has to be at least one ton. Those guys can probably lift 500lbs each.

I have checked it out but I still decided to put some scans down. If you were a real fanboy though you would have put some down regardless.

Anyway if you really cant be bothered dont do it, nothing worse than somebody doing something he doesnt really want to do. I just find it irritating that you keep on going on about how much you love cap^when there are other people on this forum who seem to contribute more.

Let Show some Durability, this is From Captain America v4 Issue 21. Cap is in a car that is FILLED with Assault Rifle Rounds Which hit him flush, Captain America doesnt have on his suit or his shield meaning this is just himself taking these rounds, he catches 7 in just one arm. Not to mention the other ones he catches.. and he is Unaffected, he never squirms or winces, in fact he starts shooting back as if the bullets arent even there. And in the next panel he is completley fine.

T'Challa was holding back, fighting himself mostly. While Cap was holding back, too, I believe that outcome would've been completely different had both of them not been holding back.

BP wasn't even KOed. And for that matter, that blow shouldn't have even caused much or any damage at all, what with his vibranium-weave suit. The man does not have a glass chin with the blows that he takes and continues to fight (Iron Fist comes to mind).

Then if the hitting wasnt enough IronMan's suit sends out a noise that shuts down the human brain, everyone else who is human that hears it is buckling in pain but even AFTER the beating he took, cap refuses to buckle.

Then after all that Hercules hits Cap who doesnt have his shield, with a HUGE Tank full of an Explosive gas like propane,or butane, or heptane, etc..... which makes a very large explosion, cap being in ground zero of it.

After all of That, being hit in the face with his shield by spiderman, beaten by Iron Man, and hit with frequency noise that causes him such pain that every other hero who hurd it's brain shut down, then hit with a large explosive.... all thats wrong with cap is that his leg needs to be dealt with and his arm is in a sling and some large cuts and bruises...the man never even lost conciousness

This is Cap owning Klaw. Im slightly embarrased about the condition of the comic, but hey you can see whats going on...OWNAGE!

Klaw is pretty powerful but Cap beats Klaw up before he can use a powerful attack on him. The scans also verify that Caps shield has vibranium in it.

This is Cap and his shield withstanding an onslaught from Thor. No Thor isn't trying to kill cap but at the sametime he is not trying to go easy on him either. Thor needs to see if the shield is still indestructible before somebody who is trying to kill Cap does! Thor won't be doing Cap any favours by going easy on him.

Integrity feat

This is a cap integrity feat. Let me explain the context. If you look at the top panel it explains how Cap was defeated hundreds of times by a reality warping Korvac. Every time Korvac beat Cap he would send him back in time and let him remember his deafeats. This happened hundreds of times but eventually Cap wore down the godlike Korvac!

To truly understand what makes Captain America who he is its not about his shield or even his fighting ability its about his heart. Cap has such a big and pure heart sometimes this enables him to beat powerful beings where other heroes would fail. Cap is one of the few heroes that can lift Thors hammer and Cap once used Thors hammer to save his life. This is why when the super heroes get together Cap leads them, his intregrity is so great.

Wolverine has the mind of a werewolf, but he tends to fight the same actually...oh well...look. this fight ends in an interference Cap was only hit once the hole fight, then he was pinned, wolverine was gonna slash, but cap was about to block with his shield, and the fight would have continued....look at the damage wolverine takes. if this was any other street leveler theyd be out.

This is a combination of Cap's skill.

1. While being tied up Cap uses his feet to aim at laser gun through prison like bars.
2. Cap uses his strength and the weight of the monster to break the prison.
3. The laser weakens the monster slightly, but cap uses his strength to get free.

Cap doesnt just know how to use his fists and his shield he knows how to use other weapons as well. This is cap using weapons skills against the Red Skull. The Red Skull is a martial arts expert....at this moment in time he is powered by the cosmic cube. Cap loses the fight in the end but the fact that cap can get a few shots in shows you how good cap is.

Seven people try to dog pile him to the ground, and Cap doesn't fall, he even says "Let me go, I don't want to hurt you."

He also obliterates Tony's armor with some shield bashes. Note that the armor nonfunctional, but it was still made out of the same incredible durable extremis material, and Cap shreds it.

However; Iron Man didn't MEAN to integrate his armor. He was infected by the extremis virus, and as a result, has had the armor integrated into his nervous system.

However, as 'extremis' Iron Man, his durability was increased as well. Hence, Cap shreding it like Tissue paper was pretty impressive.

It would be pointless.

Unless you are Skyfather, you ain't doing shit to the shield. It's only been broken by King Thor, Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet, and one other time that seems to escape me right now.

But if you can't generate that kind of power? It's unbreakable.

Dr Doom when he took part of the Beyonders power. Rune King Thor destroying part of Cap shield in my opinion is like PIS, because other people before him from my understanding were alot more powerful.

Do you know what that means? Martial arts with chi are different from other martial arts because the chi it self acts as a boost in the real world and fictional.

As you know its not just the SSS that gives Cap his abilities its his training. Cap is one of the best martial artists in the world enhanced by SSS, enhanced by chi. He is an excpetional human being enhanced and enhanced some more.

Not that any single part of the feat is impressive, but here he simultaneously dodges quite a few of Sunfire's blasts, displays some agility, and knocks sunfire the **** out while holding back;

The reason I like the Thunder strike fight is because

A. He has a short temper and doesn't like to hold back as seen in the scans.

B. Look at the last scan Cap did all that while the SSS was degenerating/fatiguing Cap.

if im not incorrect, but this was when the SSS was deteriorating in caps body, and at one point pretty much ran out period, and cap fought for a short time without the SSS at all, in which all of his skills were drastically lowered, he even managed to defeat, Crossbones like that.

because of the one by molecule man the other two actually didnt count, besides the king thor one.

I was just showing every instance the shield has been harmed or destroyed, and that is every instance.

Molecule Man can disassemble things at a molecular level.... it's not surprising he took out the shield.

The point of those scans was to show that Molecule man was one of the very few people who could destroy Cap's shield and therefore a testament to it's strength
