lol wink

But seriously, whoever manufactured them must have had some inspiration!!!!

Believe it or not, this was a picture about the response to the violence over the Danish cartoons.......

Tangible God
Freakin' radicals.

And I think those types of helmets existed long before SW. Look at the German soldier's helmet in WWII. There are others, but I'm not listing them.

Stun
alot of the technology in the OT - like weapons 'n stuff were inspired from WWII

Faroth
Yeah.

Lucas got "Storm Troopers" from the Nazi soldiers, called storm troopers.

The E11 did look familiar.

Han Solo's blaster in ANH was based on a WWII machine pistol, British or German I believe...

thats right a schmieser machine pistol

i aint sure on the spelling

Captain REX
It was based on a model of the Mauser, actually. The C96 had been around since World War I.

The E11 blaster rifle was made from the Sterling, a British submachine gun. That wasn't used by the Brits until the 1950's, though.

The MG34 makes an appearance as an Imperial repeater, too.

Captain REX
And so far, the only notable gun in the PT that is based on a real gun is the Royal Guard's repeaters, based on the Calico SMG employed by the USA today. They also use Olympic Free Pistols, which are bibi guns, not bullet-using.

Here's the Royal Guard blaster.

Captain REX
And here's the Calico. This one has an extended clip, I must note, and the Royal Guard blaster has been redressed heavily.
