You love him you HATE him when he fights your favorite hero because no matter who it is Juggs can hurt them. Yes ever since he found a mystical gem in the ruins of Cyttorak's Temple Cain Marko has been the very incarnation of destruction. Fueled by the power of Cyttorak, his Exemplar his very Power ON EARTH Juggernaut has been the essence of Chaos and Nightmares.
For years he has beaten on the best of Marvel's Heors. Thor Hulk he has Koed them both and when they seem good old Marko coming they know a epic fight is brewing and they will be sore the next morning.
He seems beyond Pain sometimes Beyond the concept of Death itself. His feats are many and powerful all here they are:

When fighting an army battalion,The Juggernaut slammed his fists into the ground with such force it created an earthquake that ripped through the entire valley and brought a hill crumbling down on them. --Uncanny X-Men #33

Instead of moving out of the way,he lets Spider-Man drive a gas tanker right into him. Not only is he totally unmoving from the impact,but he walks out of the resulting gas inferno on fire and completely unconcerned. --The Amazing Spider-Man #230

The Juggernaut allowed Dazzler to futily blast all her energy directly into him at point blank range until she was drained. She fell unconscious as he stood over her completely unharmed. --Uncanny X-Men #218

took the Fantastic Four's Thing down for the count in seconds with just 3 successive blows. Thing would arise,only to fall back down unconscious. --Secret Wars II #7

sent Thor hurtling across the skies and then through a store wall with a casual backslap. --Thor #411

When hit so hard by Rogue of the X-Men that the shockwave from the punch shattered every window of the street,The Juggernaut simply stood there looking down on her with his arms crossed. --Uncanny X-Men #218

The Juggernaut caused the entire X-Mansion to shake and nearly collapse by stomping from all the way at the front gates of the estate. And was said to be using only a fraction of his power to accomplish it. --Uncanny X-Men #12

The Juggernaut has on two occasions allowed Cannonball to blast directly into him. And both times Cannonball was knocked out of blast mode and barely conscious while The Juggernaut remained totally unmoved and unphased.

The Juggernaut has withstood even Thor's godforce(which caused Galactus to flee for his life on one occasion,and shattered the prime Celestial's protective dome on another) with absolutely no physical damage whatsoever. --Thor #412

He withstood a direct blast from Stellaris's Celestial armor with zero effect to his person. The sheer energy radius of the blast hitting him was so powerful it created a large chasm in the Earth. --Thunderstrike #2

In a confrontation with Colossus,the first blow Juggernaut connects with ends the fight. Leaving Colossus unconcious when he lands from it. --Uncanny X-Men #183

The Juggernaut nearly drowned the Hulk by forcing Hulk's head underwater. Hulk had to use silt from the riverbed in Juggernaut's eyes to make The Juggernaut release his grip on Hulk's neck. --Hulk #402

He's got uber-respect from me anyway...but nice points and issue #'s.

I think, if we could've picked a person more than once, Juggs would have been on 3-4 amalgams in the current tourney (which will hopefully end soon). He's possibly the toughest non-abstract-type person ever. Big G would go down before Juggs in a contest of sheer durability (please don't misunderstand, Juggs would never beat Big G in a fight).

Wonder why Cyttorak is only around Skyfather and seems to get jobbed on this forum...if a fraction of his power = Juggs...he should be one of the most powerful beings ever. Darn inconsistent writing...

Yes it is I just always liked it because it shows him at his best. No matter what you throw at him he takes it. The only way to beat him is for a group to take his helmet off and hope they have a telepath nearby

You do know that taking his helmet off is impossible if his shield is up, right?

Anyway, I think Jug should regain his power, be a good guy and be the "Strong man" for another team, Avengers perhaps.

Also, he could learn some martial arts.....Jugs with kung fu would own.

Juggs with Kung Fu would be interesting. I know if only he would have his Force Field up he would be unbeatable. He's going to get his powers back but I would like to see him in a solo title.
Altough seeing him on the Avengers would be intereseting.

When I meant heavy hitter, I meant huge brawler dudes.

After reading that Cyttorak's power is limitless, I've got a theory that Jugs just might have unlimited strength.

Think about it, has he ever had any trouble lifting anything?

Jug can call upon cyttorak to give him limitless pulling/push strength, he does so often, so it calls to reason that he could call on that same power to lift something.

Basically, whenever jugs starts walking, nothing can stop him, so probably whenever jugs starts to lift something, nothing is too heavy.

All he'd have to do is use his power slightly differently.

It is possible and a theory i have supported for awhile but as always there is a catch.
Marvel never stated that his strength was unlimited therefore you can't assume it is until Marvel makes it offical.

HE is UNSTOPPABLE!!!!

Being vunerable to a telepath seems a strange chink in his armour, but maybe it's acknowledging brother Charles as a man who can stop him. With durability like that, I wonder how he gets beaten any other way, but it happens. And I like that his power is mystic; better than the usual pseudo-science.

With the telepaths on his new team, he should learn how to be less susceptable to it.

I wouldn't mind the new jug if he learned some killer h2h and weapon usage and lost his telepathy weakness.

I am a Thor fan (everybody knows). Of all the rivals Thor ever fought, The Unstoppable Juggernaut has been the toughest (yes, number 1..even tougher than the Hulk) of all physical rival outside Thor's characters. I hope they bring him back to his classic level, bring Thor back to marvel.... and BRING ON THE SLUGFEST OF THE MIGHTY AND THE UNSTOPPABLE!!!!

There was one book where Juggernaut and Black Tom were meeting These to other guys and at the end of the Book Warpath and Juggernaut are fighting Spider-Man was there and he said I better help Warpath before Juggernaut kills him.

Just wanted to point out that this one is not true. Colossus was not knocked unconcious. And it wass the second hit that sent Colossus through the wall. The first one Juggy picked up the bar and smashed Colossus on the head with it. He was knocked down but he was still aware of his surrounding.

Even though Juggy could have killed him.

In the last pic juggernaut has just had all the flesh burned from his body with a concentrated blast of power absorbed from him by D'spayre and because the blast was made of juggernauts dispare (that is how it was absorbed, throught the juggernauts emotion) he overcame it through his overwelming hatred. That inspired the "theres nothing left, nothing but..." "nothing but hate" line.

Juggernaut has never lost to any hulk except war hulk! I hate reading people say "oh, hulk has beat juggernaut like three times". Never...
not once. In a fight he has been jumped by the x-men, knocked out due to the explosion of a mind controlling device and knocked back by hulk suped up by celestial tech, that is it. Never has it been that hulk just beat him. People also deny the validity that beating the hulk in the forest when he was out of armor counted for anything. If banner hulk was stupid enough to think that a man of normal strength (considering he didn't want to hurt a normal guy) could cause him physical harm with a punch than that is his fault. Anybody else would have thought, "Hey he obviously has super strength if he can hurt me and durability considering what he has been doing so i guess i can take the kid gloves off" it was bull!

I'll have to see if I can get some scans.

In the Ultimate Universe now that juggernaut has found the gem what do you think will happen? Will he be as strong as his 616 coubterpart? or is it just a fluke?

I think that if they made colossus so much stronger in the ultimate universe than ultimate juggernaut will have to be that much stronger as well in order to still pose threats to the entire X-men roster. I hate, hate, hate, hate that they had him start as a mutant but it i guess it is good because it means the gem will probably build off of what is already there giving him a much greater rise in strength. I hope...

Man I love Juggernaut, and its nice to see Colossus becoming a big league character in the ultimate universe. I hope in the Ultimate Universe juggernaut is as unstoppable as he was in the 616.

Powers and Abilities
Until recent times, the Juggernaut possessed a variety of superhuman physical abilities mystical in origin.

The Juggernaut possessed vast superhuman strength, the limits of which were never revealed. The Juggernaut's strength was sufficient for him to battle powerhouses such as Thor and the Incredible Hulk, placing his strength well into the Class 100 level, being able to lift in excess of 100 tons. Truly, only the Hulk was ever observed to be able to match the Juggernaut's nearly limitless physical strength

Aside from his incredible strength, the Juggernaut's body possessed an extraordinary degree of invulnerability to injury, allowing him to trade blows with some of the strongest heroes of the Marvel Universe. The Juggernaut could withstand high powered energy blasts, falls from great heights, exposure to temperatures greater than that of the surface of the Sun, exposure to vaccum environments, etc. without sustaining even the slightest injury The Juggernaut could increase his invulnerability to even higher levels by generating a mystical forcefield around his body. This field was sufficient to enable him to withstand powerful energy blasts from beings as powerful as the Silver Surfer, multiple blows from Thor's hammer, and Wolverine's adamantium claws.

The Juggernaut was, literally, an unstoppable force. Once in motion, whether it be running or walking, no physical force could prevent his forward momentum. His pace could be slowed considerably by powerful energy blasts, many tons of rocks, etc. but nothing completely halted his forward momentum. This is true with the one exception of his battle with the Incredible Hulk as War II where much to Juggernaut's shock he was stopped.

The mystical energies that flowed through his body were more than sufficient to sustain him. The Juggernaut no longer needed to eat, drink, or even breathe and could survive indefinitely in a vacuum. These same mystical energies also provided him with limitless physical stamina. The Juggernaut's mystically enhanced musculature generated no lactic acids.

As a vessel of mystic energy the Juggernaut also possessed many abstract powers that had yet to be fully revealed. Before getting depowered the Juggernaut had exhibitted such fantastic abilities as mystic radar to locate his enemies seemingly anywhere on the planet, and continuing to advance and fight after having his body magically disintegrated into nothing but a skeleton.

Despite his physical attributes, the Juggernaut's mind was as vulnerable to psionic attacks as the minds of ordinary humans. However, the Juggernaut's helmet was constructed of a rare, unnamed metal found only within the dimensional realm of Cyttorak. This alloy was sufficient to shield the Juggernaut's mind from all forms of psychic and telepathic assault.

Since his depowerment at the hands of Cyttorak, however, his power levels have decreased in almost every respect. He now has to breathe, eat, drink, and sleep. While he still possesses a vast level of superhuman strength, the Juggernaut isn't nearly as powerful as he once was, nor is he as invulnerable as before. It's now possible for him to feel pain and suffer injury.

Finally, he is no longer an "unstoppable force," and has been stripped of his mystical armour and telepathy-shielding helmet (instead, he wears "unstable molecule" replicas which do not replicate the telepathic shield).

I'm not really a fan of the Juggernaut, but I definitely think this thread should go on. After all he is a cool character in MU, and really has fought with some of the best heroes on Earth, including simply unbeliveable matches with the mighty Thor, the incredible Hulk and even with Venom (in Venom Madness). Unluckily I don't have a scanner or comics written in English so I can just give you my verbal support.

Here are some great feats that could be included in this thread:
-Juggernaut fighting D'Spayre and loosing his muscles and armor.
-Juggernaut enduring Thor's punches after loosing most of his power.
-Juggernaut and Colossus fighting in a bar (One of the funniest strips ever, Colossus gets curbstomped.)

I'm not really a fan of the Juggernaut, but I definitely think this thread should go on. After all he is a cool character in MU, and really has fought with some of the best heroes on Earth, including simply unbeliveable matches with the mighty Thor, the incredible Hulk and even with Venom (in Venom Madness). Unluckily I don't have a scanner or comics written in English so I can just give you my verbal support.

Here are some great feats that could be included in this thread:
-Juggernaut fighting D'Spayre and loosing his muscles and armor.
-Juggernaut enduring Thor's punches after loosing most of his power.
-Juggernaut and Colossus fighting in a bar (One of the funniest strips ever, Colossus gets curbstomped.)

They picked the right guy for the job. He is tall, intimidating and toned. I only wish that he was a bit more bulky, broader in the sholders and torso especially.


to make a sig, i just used paint to put a bunch of juggernaut pics together. Then you go to your user CP (option at top of screen). from there you go to edit profile, scroll down to where it says upload custome signature or something like that and click. Follow the instructions and wham you got a sig.

Now he is a part of the New Excaliber and someone said he is back to full strength. This is all just what i have overheard on the forum not what i have proof of, but dear god i hope he has his power back.

juggernaut is fully back to strength i cannot post the link because i m not allowed but it is stated in the new exalibur #3..or go to wikipedia and search for juggernaut Comics it will say there. but he doesnt have the armour and he is still vunerable to psi attacks....cool

Because of his close association with the X-Men, Juggernaut is often mistakenly labeled a mutant.

Juggernaut traditionally possessed extraordinary power, of mystical origin. He had tremendous physical strength whose limits have never been measured, but it was easily enough to include him in what Marvel calls the "Class 100" level, i.e. able to lift over 100 tons. To compensate for his most significant vulnerabity - to telepathic assault - he also wore a helmet of a mystical alloy, which prevented his mind from being read or assaulted.

After his depowerment at the hands of Cytorrak, the Juggernaut's power levels decreased in almost every respect. He now needed to breathe, and, while still highly super-strong, possessed only a fraction of the strength he once wielded. He also was mortal and could be killed by relatively minor amounts of punishment. Finally, he was no longer an "unstoppable force," and was stripped of his mystical armour and telepathy-shielding helmet (instead, wearing "unstable molecule" replicas which do not replicate the telepathic shield).

Seen as recently as New Excalibur issue #3, however, Juggernaut seems to be back at full strength. He easily powered through the combination of the evil version of Jean Grey's telekinetic onslaught and the evil version of Cyclops' full assault optic blast with no ill effects to himself. Juggernaut also easily withstood an ice barrage from the evil version of Iceman, when it was seen that in Uncanny X-Men issues #410-411 that he could not withstand an assault from Iceman. This further shows his main powers to be back at "normal" levels for Juggernaut. He still however, as of this writing, does not posses his mystical armor and is remains succeptible to powerful telepaths.

In the Ultimate Marvel continuity, not much is known about Cain Marko. All that is known is that he was incarcerated by Weapon X and forced to act as a living weapon under the direction of Col. John Wraith. Juggernaut was part of the strike force that took out the X-Men, forcing them into Weapon X as well. When The Brotherhood removed the security implants that were prohibiting the mutants from leaving their cells, Juggernaut fought for his freedom. After the entire ordeal, Cain was offered a place with both Xavier's X-Men and The Brotherhood. Cain chose The Brotherhood, but has apparently left the team for parts unknown. Recently, in the Ultimate X-Men 2005 annual, Juggernaut was bonded with a gem stolen by Rogue and Gambit called the Cyttorak Gem. Though its full repercussions are unknown, Juggernaut did describe himself as feeling "better than ever."

It's just that last time I saw those scans, Juggernaut ran Wonder Woman through the wall, then found himself in a new location in Metropolis, where he immediately took a punch from Superman.

First time I've seen that fourth scan; smells a bit like crossover B.S. Diana hardly moved Juggs with her first shot. Then she punches him through the air, to crash into Mantis?
