He was actually greater than Obi-Wan Kenobi. Kenobi managed to keep up with Anakin because he knew all of his moves, and Anakin was emotionally overwhelmed with grief.

Anakin was the 3rd best in the Order.

You guys are joking, right?

Anakin did have more power then Obi Wan, not by a lot from what we can see but he was stated to be a bit more powerful. However Obi Wan is by far the greater fighter though, because he fights smart and Anakin does not.
