"You can only find happiness when you stop looking for it."

I'd like some opinions on this statement and whether or not you agree with it. Discuss.

I never looked for it and I found it - very much of it indeed.

So you can find it if you don't look, but whether or not changing from searching to awaiting is a good thing... I don't know.

Simple, happiness has nothing to do with looking. Happiness is you deciding there has been some criteria met and allowing yourself to be happy. After years of searching I finally figured it out. You can be happy if you wish to be. You can be happy like a madman for no reason what so ever. Now please excuse me, the nurse is almost here with the medicine. 😱

😆

Yes. Looking for something means desire, and desire means unhappiness.

Yet if you are unhappy and sit around doing nothing, you will not become happy.

happiness is a state of mind, you need to become happy to find it, and to become happy or to find it you just need to think happy. If you walk around all day with a forced smile that smile will eventually become real because you simply can not do anything but be happiness. IMO happiness comes to those that take it, simple as that.

Bingo.

I've also found that there is happiness in simplicity. It's interesting to ponder 'life' and so forth but never let it work you up so you get frusterated. Always make an effort to enjoy the simple things in life.

Not necessarily....It's just acknowledging that is has always been there and noticing it.

Because no one knows what they want, they look for things they think they need but don't. Satisfied for a brief second, only to go back searching. But somethings in life don't need searching, they're already there. Love, joy, happiness. Things people should be looking for, but don't. The epitime of one's life is finding purpose. And finding purpose is indeed finding happiness. However, when one decides to make the search, is clearly looking for something they do not have.-The Don

I agree on the statement...

i disagree because only the person them selves can know what makes them happy and for some people have to explore their intrests to see what satisfys them.

Happiness is there, you just have to let it happen.

RIght now, I am not happy cause I am making it so.

Ooo ooo, here's another one....

Happiness is where the heart is.

Oh, that's original. 🙄

That's not happiness, that's happiness substitute. Kind of like fake happiness, like eating sugar for dinner.

Actually some people find happiness simply by looking🙂 That is where the happiness lies for them, by looking for it.

I am A Strong Believer of:

"Looking for Heaven? Walk far enough and you will find it"

And I am using "heaven" as a Figurative term here, not an actual physical place.
