Dunno if this thread already exist but wanna know your opinion.

We don't know for sure. Cosmic Spidey was only around for 4-5 issues, and Graviton is the only person he ever beat that's even in Supes' league. So anything anyone thinks about this fight is even more of an opinion than usual....simply because there's not a whole lot to back it up one way or another.

spidey is powerful because he took on a bunch of characters that arent that good spidey took them on all at same time and he won....without cosmic powers but supes is more powerful

He also beat Hulk.

Anyway, it was Grey Hulk that Spidey punked....not nearly as powerful as Green. And even then, Supes is still a level-and-a-half beyond Hulk.

I still stick by "we don't know" for this fight. Simply not enough apearences from cosmic spidey (beat Grey Hulk, beat Graviton, stalemated Magneto, beat Tri-Sentinel....that's it).

He chumped Graviton with one blast but could only manage a stalemate with Mags? Am I missing something there?

It was Grey Hulk. Supes would have tossed him just as easily.

Nah, he had a proper fight against Graviton earlier than the one-shot thing. It was later that the one-panel ownage happened, but it never really shows how banged up Graviton was after it, since Pete was on his way to battle the Tri-Sentinel....so it's conceivable that he wasn't THAT much more powerful than Grav.

As I stated before, not enough to get a true gauge of his power.

True though I think Cosmic Spidey is the only time the Unipower has been semi-impressive. The recent mini was pretty weak.

Cosmic Spidey has matter manipulation... he turns Superman's costume into adamantium (or stronger material) then fires webbing over his face..... which he also turns to adamantium... leaving Supes to suffocate.... eventually

I know its been portrayed inconsistantly, but does Superman need to breath and couldn't he just vibrate through the adamantium?

He has matter manipulation, so he should win...

He used to need to breath... there were stats on him holding his breath before

Vibrate?..... no... it's too dense.... and if he manages it then a solid energy sheath of stronger properties will do

and with the adamantium suit being skin tight, if he vibrates, it just vibrates with him at exactly the same rate.... it shouldn't work

What I don't get is that people always judge a fight from powers alone.

Spiderman was already a force to be reckoned with, without his Cosmic-powers. He is the underdog of determination. He is practically Batman with Super powers.

A fight between Cosmic Spidey and Supes would be like a fight between Spiderman and Scorpion. It's true that Scorpion is marginally stronger and more agile, but that didn't stop Spidey from winning all the times he had won.

I'm going for the web head outsmarting Supes. And if he lost the first fight, he'd definately win the second, and third.
