I bought an Armani belt on Ebay a few days ago and it arrived today. Im wondering....can it be authentic? Or is it most likely fake?

Anyone got any tips?

If you don't know, what does it matter? They're all made by the same Asian children.

Punker69
I just want to know for myself.

Oh, right.

Yeah, it's real.

If the main point is to have Armani because it's Armani, and fake Armani looks the same as real (to the point that you can't tell the difference no less), then why even bother paying outrageous prices for real Armani?

There is a trick if you can burn the tip of the belt and it burns blue its real due to the chemicals they use to treat the belt.

Because it's Armani, darling. Sure it looks EXACTLY the same but....er....the quality of the...um....texture and material is COMPLETELY different.

cool

Is it that hard to give a guy tips on finding out if its real?

Victor and friends, you really shouldn't tease the lad...

Mr. Punker69, the test to varify the authenticity of your recent Armani purchase is rather elaborate, but ultimately unequivocal. Here are the steps:

1) Place the article in a bowl of luke-warm vinegar, then leave it to soak for 10 minutes.

2) Drain the vinegar into a purple bowl, and place the belt onto a bed of ice-cold roses. This will help to equalise the acidity from the vinegar.

3) When the roses have evaporated the vinegar, a light flourescent glow should emanate around the 'heart' of the belt. This is a good thing. Now is the time to place the belt in a pre-heated oven, gas mark 11. That thing needs to be hot!

4) After a period of no more than 17 minutes, but no less than 16, you should take the belt out of the oven. It should look a little crispy. Again, this is good.

5) Quickly prepare some fresh salad leaves - Romaine and Batavian would be the leafs of choice here - and season with a little salt.

6) Use the back of your hand, or a rolling pin, to crumble the belt into little pieces. They should slightly resemble 'Bacon Bits'. When this task is completed, put them in a wooden bowl named 'Sue'.

7) Then, use you right hand to take the cumbled pieces out of the bowl named 'Sue' and sprinkle generously over your assembled leaves.

8) Finally, use a vinaigrette of your choice to complete the dish.

Et voila! A delcious meal for all the family!

Nothing to do with this thread but:

I know the difference between silk and Pollyester, Wihout Burning it.

Pollyester is Extra Smooth, Silk is the same texture, but the smoothness is somewhat rugged.

The other way is that the belt should be double lined and if you can splice down the middle of the double lining in the middle of the belt armani belts are stamped in the middle of the belt under the double linning. By the way not a large incision but maybe 4 inches and not very deep.

I would say that if you bought it off eBay, it's a non-issue. Who wears Armani and doesn't experience the pure joy of buying it from the snobby guy with the head set that offers you cappucino, in person?

Basically, what I'm saying, is that all Armani off the internet is fake. Simply because you bought it off the net.

Seeing if his signature is on the product would definately be a hint.

I tried looking for any kind of authentication marking but I couldnt find one. Then again I dont really no what to look for. I found some symbols...but not a signature.

Exactly.

jaden101
if it cost pennies...it's fake...if it cost an arm and a leg...and you got it off ebay...then you're a total mug...and it's still fake
