Should Pinball Buy A Drumset

Should Pinball (the self-proclaimed BAMF) buy a drumset? Theres a full kit drumset at Guitar Center for $180. Should he get it, and be my bands drummer?

Depends...does he already know how to play the drums?

No. But hes interested becuase its incredibly inexpensive for a drum kit

If he gets the drum kit it'll be quite a while before he'll play drums for a band.

1. It's hard to learn
2. Hard to get practice in, parents would hate it.

Thats true. But our band itself is very inexperienced as it is, so it will be a while before he needs to be good.

I play the guitar, and I find it difficult enough trying to sing and play the guitar. If he is co-ordinated enough to do it, then by all means.

Like you said above, it is inexpensive for a kit. VERY inexpensive.

I was talking to him and he was totally pumped about this, so I think he would stick with it and keep practicing, which was my only worry

If he is determined then by all means, encourage him. If you keep encouraging him, then he will be more enthusiastic about it.

Well since this thread is about me I should probably post something, well since I will soon have the $$$$ to get it my mom says I will just need to take lessons before she lets me, but I am extremly confident I will have my drums in no-time

Bonus side is, I get Pinballs Strat guitar out of this.

It is official Im getting the drum set this weekened then Im going to start lessons soon after.

You can only self-proclaim yourself a BAMF if you are one, since I already am a BAMF I can and by playing the drums it only makes me more of a BAMF.

So do I and I agree with what you say, but guitars are a lot different to drums, Also it depends on the syle of music as well, some styles are harder than others and you also must make sure he likes the right style of music that you do and the rest of the band.
