Which actor/actress did the best job as a super villian?
Gene Hackman (Lex Luthor) - Terence Stamp (General Zod) - Jack Nicholson (Joker) - Danny DeVito (Penguin) - Tommy Lee Jones (Two Face) - Jim Carrey (Riddler) - Arnold Swarzenegger (Mr. Freeze) - Uma Thurman (Poison Ivy) - Ian McKellen (Mageneto) - Rebecca Romijn (Mystique) - William Dafoe (Green Goblin) - Michael Clarke Duncan (Kingpin) - Alfred Molina (Doc Ock) - Liam Neeson (Ra's Al Ghul) - Cillan Murhpy (Scarecrow) - Julian McMahon (Dr. Doom)

Doom, Ock and Magneto.

Lex luthors retarded helper................

Terrence Stamp easily. "Kneel before Zod!!!" is a mainstay in pop culture.
Also the "We will kill the son of our jailor!" line.
The accent sealed the deal.
Jack Nicholson was excellent as the Joker too.
Ian McKellan and Liam Neeson are honorable mentions.
Please never mention Batman Forever or Batman and Robin characters again...
Marcus4600
When you said Kneel before Zod, I thought of Mallrats. Snoochie boochies!
I think Travolta was awesome in Punisher. I also liked Willam Dafoe as Green Goblin. He was perfect.
KillAll
soon to be juggernaut... in x-3

I predict something massive will be cut loose and fall on him. Everyone will kind of ease up a bit but then the object will slowly lift up and get hurled at someone.
Marcus4600
I'm looking forward to Colossus vs Juggernaut in X3.
Bring it on, tovarich!

Alfred Molina was pretty kick-ass , but as earlier mentioned Terence Stamp and the 'Kneel before Zod' line gets the gold
Silver goes to magneto with a fairly decent portrayal (although he seemed alot less calmer then i expected ?
Bronze is a tie between Liam neelson and William defoe . Liam had very good lines but didn't do alot action wise , while lafoe portrayed insane very very well.
Honorable mention goes to : Cillan Murhpy , the guy look like a fruit but still portrayed his character well ( not necessarily faithful to the comic but still very well)
KillAll
i've heard rumors of juggernaut beating up storm and wolverine, but not colossus... colossus is supposed to get rocked by somebody else...

I am so not looking forward to it , i don't particularly like the x films , but that was the clincher . The man looks nothing like juggs and his costume is bullshit ....

i just like the IDEA of juggernaut being in the film. he is my favorite character of all time...
only thing i dont like is juggernaut is a "mutant" in the movie, instead of being mystically enhanced. but i guess it would have to much backstory to try and explain it that way.

Actors looking like comic characters isn't even on my list of considerations for comic film judgements
..... and Juggernaut's original costume is pretty stupid looking anyway..... there's almost no doubt that the film will ignore any magical aspects of Juggernaut.... he'll just be a big mutant... like he originally was in Ultimate X-Men

I liked the green goblin's insanity talk in the mirror I thought Ian MacKellan did a good job as Magneto, and Jack Nicholas as the Joker was funny especially the two foot gun in the pants only the joker would do that.

i think this has already been confirmed. it would cost to much to run in another story of how juggernaut came about. easier to just say he was born with the power. cheaper too. i wish it wasnt that way, but i understand the reasoning atleast.
DigiMark007
Colin Farell as Bullseye. Best part of an otherwise sub-par film.
Oh, and wrong forum. Moving.
MrHeavySilence
Scarecrow was the best. Alfred Molina as Doc Ock was pretty sweet too!

lol. It's funny reading the dated slang in older comics. I couldn't stop laughing at 70s Spider-man. "It's a real pussy cat!"

jrodslam
Jack Nicholson - Joker in Batman(89).
Nomac - Blade 2
Flavio
Magneto is the less unilateral villain. Mystique is great too.

After my initial shock of the halter shirt, I can say I will forgive the costume if Juggernaut does some Juggernautly feats.
b-dan
i say Dr.Doom since hes my fave comic book villan
ImmortalSamurai
Max Von Sydow- Ming the Merciless

KNEEL BEFORE ZOD!!!!!!
Kinky

jgiant
Im surprised not more people are saying jack as the joker...he nailed that part, if we are going by quality of acting than i think jack takes it...danny was awesome as the pinguin...magneto was good, i liked it but not as much...i didn't really like any other comic performance that much except for the batman begins villians...green goblin was over the top and corny...ock was ok, but not that impressive...doom was nothin like the doom i kno dissapointing...couldn't really take zod seriously...juggs is gunna be a dissapointment, won't be nearlly as powerful...rest i don't really care about...
Marcellus
Dafoe ruled, the suit was iffy. Im a big fan of Cilian, hope he returns for a BM:B sequal. "Doom" should have had more screen time
Gold: Gobby
Silver: Scarecrow
Bronze: Doom
Wolverine2006
Nomak, not the toughest but he was cool
NoFate007
Best comic villain in their portrayal of the character:
1. Ian McKellan for Magneto - this guy got Erik down to a T. He was PERFECTLY cast.
2. Michelle Pfeiffer for Catwoman - easily the best Selina yet.
3. Willem Dafoe for Green Goblin - could have been a little more "freaky", and the costume could have been different but you can't blame Dafoe for that. All in all he did a great job, and gets an extra added bonus point for being a good sport and coming back for Spider-Man 2 and getting into character for the short amount of lines he had.
Honorable mention - Michael Clark Duncan as Kingpin - yes he had a different race, but he essentially got the character down very well
Honorable mention - Liam Neeson as Ra's Al Ghul/Ducard - not the same Ra's we're used to but he did an excellent job

Thanks for the subtle nod there whirly, if that's what it was.
...even though I wasn't using this version of Zod.

I'm going with Dr. Octopus.

I loved Scarecrow, too bad his role was small.

Wally West
I thought Colin Farell was good as Bullseye, he was pretty funny. Liam Neeson as Ra's, and Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman were both execellent too.
Scarecrow756
Michelle Pfeiffer- Catwomen- Batman Returns.
Danny De Veto- The Penguin- Batman Returns.
Jack Nicholson- The Joker- Batman 89.
Liam Neasson- Ras Al Gaul- Batman Begins.
Clain Murphy- Scarecrow- Batman Begins.
Ian Mc Kellen- Magneto- X Men and X Men 2.
William Defoe- Green Goblin- Spider Man.
Alfred Molina- Doc Ock- Spider-Man 2.
Michael Clark Duncan- Kingpin- Daredevil.
Knightfall93
1) Ian Mckellen/ Magneto (Magneto rules, McKellen rules...)
2) Willem DaFoe/ The Green Goblin (man, would he make a good Joker)
3) Liam Neeson/ Ra's al Ghul/ "Ducard" (he was really nice and when he goes evil, hell he's evil!)
Knightfall93
Samishe, i opened the Syndicate thread!
Scarecrow756
Do you like my new sig and avatator Knightfall.
Knightfall93
LOL, is that the avatar image I used to intro you? Cool... the sig is very very cool! You even have the motto... hey, great idea: mortto under sig and character above avatar!
Doc Ock
My personal favs:
1.Alfred Molina as Doc Ock
2.Ian McKellan as Magneto
3.Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman
4.Jack Nicholson as The Joker
5.Danny DeVito as The Penguin
systemshock2
One of my favorites was Nick Nolte in Hulk. Absolutely loved the part when he studies his hand as it morphs into different things; you can just see his brain calculating the new power that he has. And I also really liked it at the end when he went into his insane soliloquy, then surprised the hell out of me by biting into that power cable and turning into that awesome looking lighting guy.
Sixth_Winged
Bullseye, Doc Ock and Ra's for me.
Big Sexy
.Jack Nicholson as The Joke
I don't think any villian in a movie was better and I don't think anyone can play that role better.
Templares
Willem Dafoe as Norman Osbourne. He just nailed that sick bastard down.
Big Sexy
Nah it was a little to over the top, like he was over acting.
supersayin4goku
dactor doom
rox
guys come on jim carey nailed the riddler
FOOM
Michael Clarke Duncan, Liam Neilson and Ian MacKellan all rocked.
Dafoe is over-rated, Spacey is over-rated
That Nip and Tuck guy as Dr.Doom was terrible. But even worse was
Gene Hackmen as Lex

hmm tough choices, but Ian McKellen and William Dafoe are my favorite's
hey BTW you guys also forgot Sharon Stone in Catwoman
just kidding
Scarecrow756
I like to also add to my list Topher Grace as Venom. Despite the limited amount of screen time he got as Venom he still played him perfectly. Fingers crossed that he returns in Spider-Man 4.

I'm sorry but I refuse to call him Ra's Al Ghul because of the diffences from the comicbook version, but I thought Ducard was a wonderful villain.
Hackman/Luthor, Nicholson/Joker, and all the Batman Returns villains are great classic villains.
McKellen/Magneto, Molina/Doc Ock, Spacey/Luthor and Brian Cox in X2 are great new villains. I also have high hopes for the new Two-Face.
Ed Harris as Carl Fogarty in 'A History of Violence' was one of the best performances I have ever seen.
qqqqqqq
governator - mr freeze
ragesRemorse
the guy who played dr octapus
Darth Martin
Heath Ledger's Joker
Doc Ock, Two-Face, Ozymandias, Hamill's Joker, and Syndrome are all great also but nobody really compares to Ledger as far as villains go.
