I always wished they would start a storyline that would look into this.
Thing has more heart and guts than any other Marvel hero. He also has a ton of experience and can take a lot of punishment.

So, here it goes:

Ben Grimm is sick of being a ***** for every class 100 that feels like smacking him around. He spends some years studying under the greatest martial artists and warriors in the world.

He then steals the "Metal Pounders" that belong to Thors foe, Ulik. Capable of shattering mountains.

The new, scary, well-prepared Thing then goes off, hunting:

Hulk
Thor
Juggernaut
Wonderman
Gladiator
And anybody else you can think of.

thor gladiator would still smack him around..the other guys ben would topple.

juggernaut frags him up good!

Ben woke up this morning, and while he was crapping, realized that he know has the Star Brand.

Thing could take gladiator wonder man and stalemate juggs, Thor would beat the crap out of him with his hammer, and Hulk now knows martial arts through his recent issues in M i believe

How exactly is Ben going to beat Juggs (assuming this is classic).

I mean you cant hurt someone you cant hit
