I like the subtly of Weezer's 'We Are All On Drugs' myself. 'Sensimilla' by Slightly Stoopid is also good if your down with Sublime.

Your posts remind me of Pink Floyd box sets. Wrap them in all the aesthetic pleasantries you want, make them look good but underneath they'll still be pretentious bs that isn't really saying much.

You are saying NOTHING more than "I can't find a meaning, therefore there isn't one." That is exactly what you're saying. The lyrics clearly meant SOMETHING to Kurt Cobain, just like any lyrics mean something to whoever wrote them. Your inability to grasp that doesn't mean that it's non-existent. You believe that if you apply that theory and the lyrics don't adhere to it, there's no meaning. Complete bs.

Prime example: The Mars Volta. Deplorably shit, pretentious, stream of consciousness lyrics with the odd good phrase. Cedric Bixler-Zavalla himself has said that he gets what they mean, yet many others do not.

Bottom line is: You not "getting" the lyrics doesn't mean that they are void of any meaning. Oh, that and the lyrics you quoted do infact have a very clear meaning because they are famous for it. So I'm leaning toward you not being very good at extracting lyrical definitions. Keep trying.

There's always going to be a meaning as long as the lyrics are about a discernable subject. Even if there's not, there still may be meaning there somewhere.

Which is why it's stupid to say there's no meaning in the lyrics Evil Dead quoted. Just because he can't get anything out of them, doesn't mean Cobain didn't write them with meaning. Furthermore, anyone can get meaning out of any lyric really.
