Has anyone ever seen an Anime that DOESN'T involved giant mech robots and weird and cuddly/scary monsters? Anyone?

It depends on the type of Manga.....Most Shonen and Sienen have monsters, and the like. While Shojo doesn't necessarily.

You know, that is a good one the majority of the Series that I have watched all contain some type of Monster or Giant Mecha/ Robot

The few that come to my mind, that do not match either are:

Trigun (maybe one or two of the Gung Ho Gun Members can qualify as a Mech but I think they are more intended as Cyborgs than Giant Mechs However it Does contain Kuro-Neko so that might Disqualify that)

Detective Conan

Samarai Champloo

Wolf's Rain (This Depends if you count Wolves as "Scarey/ cute Monsters" or not)

That is all that I can think of at this point (It has been a long day my brain is Drained)
