This story starts at the end or the sixth book at Dumbledore's funeral. It's just my version or the 7th book seen through Ron and Hermione's eyes. It's not a give-away of what the 7th book will actually be like though. Hope you like it...

The day of Dumbledore's funeral was bright and sunny. Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny walked towards the lake, where many rows of white chairs sat. They picked an isle close to the front and sat down. The funeral began. A small tufty-haired man in black robes got up to speak after Hagrid had laid Dumbledore's motionless body down. The man just talked about stuff that Ron wasn't really listening to. All of a sudden, Hermione let out a small ghasp. Ron looked at her, then looked in the same direction as her eyes. Bright, white flames encircled Dumbledore's body, making a tomb around it. Ron screwed up his face so he wouldn't cry. He looked over to Hermione who's face was stained with tears. Then he looked over to Harry and Ginny. They were talking about something...arguing it looked like. Ron didn't care. The funeral was over. Ron slowly stood to his feet, followed by Hermione.
"Ron," she said quietly, " there's something I want to tell you..."
"What?" Ron asked.
"It's just..." Hermione stumbled. She couldn't say any more. She just broke out in tears, crying harder than ever. She laid her head on Ron's shoulder, and he hugged her and stroked her hair. After a while, Hermione stopped crying, and they hurried over to Harry.
"What did Scrimgeour want?" Hermione whispered.
"Same as what he wanted at Christmas," said Harry, "wanted me to give him inside information on Dumbledore and be the ministy's new poster boy."
Ron seemed to struggle with himself for a moment, then he said loudly to Hermione, "Look, let me go back and hit Percy!"
"No." she said firmly, grabbing him arm.
"But it'll make me feel better!"
Harry laughed and even Hermione grinned a little.
"I can't bear the idea that Hogwarts might close..." she said.
"Maybe it won't." said Ron looking at the castle.
"Well, I'm not coming back, even if it does re-open." said Harry. Both Ron and Hermione looked at him and gaped. Then Hermione said, "I knew you would say that. But then, what else will you do?"
Harry told them his plan for the next year, how he'd track down the other horcruxes, go to Godric's Hollow, and maybe visit his parent's graves.
"We'll be there Harry," said Ron when Harry was done.
"What?" asked Harry.
"At your aunt and uncle's house, then we'll go with you, wherever you go." he said.
"You said once before Harry, that there was time to turn back if we wanted to. We've had time haven't we?" said Hermione.
"We're with you whatever happens," said Ron, "but mate, you're going to have to come to Burrow before we do anythign else."
"Bill and Fleur's wedding...remember?"
"Yeah we shouldn't miss that." said Harry smiling.

It was the morning of Bill and Fleur's wedding. Hermione, Ginny, and Fleur's sister Gabrielle (or Gabby) were in their room getting ready. They were all wearing gold dresses that went to the floor. They were scoop-neck and had a cut untill the knee and one side. The girls wore their hair up in a bun.
"Wow," Hermione breathed.
"We look amazing," Ginny said quietly.
"yees, wee doo eendeed," said Gabby with her french accent.
"Well we better get going," said Hermione, "the wedding is about to start."
The three girls walk down the stairs and met Fleur, Mrs. Weasley, and Fleur's mother in the kitchen.
"Ooh you geerls look ah-mazing!" said Fleur as she ran over to hug them.
"Alright everyone! Let's start the wedding!" said Mrs. Weasley clapping her hands together.
Outside someone started to play the organ. Bill, Charlie, Harry, and Mr. Weasley stood at the front by the preist. Gabby, holding onto Fred's arm, lead the procession. Ginny and George were next followed by Hermione and Ron. Then finally, Fleur stepped out of the house, escorted by her father.
The day was perfect. It was sunny and warm. They had all been praying that it wouldn't rain since the wedding was being held in the Weasley's backyard. Fleur got up to where Bill was standing. The preist started. He rambled on about to care for each other in sickness and in health. Rings were slipped on fingers. Vows were said. The bride was kissed. Hermione smiled at Ron and he smiled back. Ginny looked like she was in a daze, and Harry was looking at his fingers. Mrs. Weasley was sitting with Fleur's mother, and they we're both crying. The day was perfect.

That night, there was dancing and a big party. Harry and Ginny went off somewhere to talk, leaving Ron and Hermione sitting at the table alone. Ron finally got up the courage to ask her something.
"Hermione...?" asked Ron nervously.
"Yeah..." said Hermione slowly.
"Um...wanna dance?" he asked her.
Hermione just smiled. "Of course." she said.
They both stood up. Ron held out his hand and Hermione took it. He pulled Hermione close to him and they dance slowly. Then Ron stopped dancing.
"What?" Hermione asked.
"I've wanted to do this for the longest time..." Ron said. He smiled. He lifted Hermione's chin and kissed her softly. He backed away. Hermione was smiling. He pulled her back into his arms and they continued dancing.

Ron and Hermione talked for an hour outside while the tables and chairs from the party were being cleared away. When they had finished talking, they both went inside and said goodnight.
Hermione walked into the room her and Ginny were sharing, smiling.
"What are you so happy about?" asked Ginny sitting up in bed.
"Ron and I," Hermione started, "Well we were dancing, and the he kissed me! And well we were talking, and we're officially going out!"
"That's great!" said Ginny getting off her bed and hugging Hermione.
"Yeah it is, I mean, I've liked him for so long! And I'm just so happy! But I'm also really tiard. We'll talk more tomorrow. Goodnight!"
"Goodnight," said Ginny as she got into bed again.

"Hey Harry," said Ron as he walked into his room.
"What took you so long to get up here? The party ended and hour ago!" said Harry going over to where Ron was standing.
"Man, me and Hermione, were dancing...then we kissed. And now we're going out." said Ron blushing.
"That's great, mate!" said Harry hitting Ron on his back.
"Yeah well I'm beat. So what did you and Ginny talk about? asked Ron as he took off is tie.
"I'll tell you tomorrow mate." said Harry, turning off the light. Both boys got into bed and fell asleep.

A few days later, it was July 31st, Harry's birthday. Ron slipped quietly out of his room so that he wouldn't wake Harry, and met the others downstairs. Everyone went over the plan once, and got into their hiding spots. Ron went upstairs to wake Harry.
"Hey mate! wake up!" yelled Ron. Downstairs, everyone snickered.
"Ron! What's your problem?" Harry asked groggily, lifting his head and putting his glasses on. Everything came into focus.
"Hurry up and come downstairs! You've gotta see the awesome game of wizard's chess that Fred and George have got set up!" said Ron. He hoped Harry would buy his lame excuse.
"I have to get up now?"
"Yeah mate! Just come!"
"All right all right." said Harry. He got out of bed and him and Ron went downstairs. When they got to the bottom or the stairs, Harry asked, "Ron, where is everyone?"
"SURPRISE!!" Everyone yelled from where they were hiding. Harry had forgotten that it was his birthday today.
"Happy birthday mate!" yelled Ron, pushing Harry down the last step.
"All right everyone!" called Mrs. Weasley, "Into the kitchen for Harry's 'Birthday Breakfast!' "
Every walked into the kitchen and sat down. Ron sat beside Hermione and Fleur, Harry sitting across from them, between Ginny, who was beaming at Harry, and Fred, who was trying to get Harry some of George and his' 'Flaming Butter Beer'. Mrs. Weasley put plates and plates heaped with food in the middle of the table. There were pancakes, toast, waffles, fruit, and a cake, and butter beer to drink. Everyone started to eat as soon as the food was layed out. After an hour, and 10 plates of food later, Harry blew out his candles on his birthday cake. Everyone sang 'Happy Birthday' and gave Harry their presents. After everything was over and done with, Ginny and Harry went upstairs.
"What do you suppose they're doing?" asked Ron to Hermione.
"Stop butting in on their business, Ron," said Hermione scornfully.
"Hey, don't tell me you don't want to know what they're talking about!"
"Whatever." Hermione said smiling. She grabbed Ron's hand and they walked outside. The day was beautiful and sunny, not a cloud in the sky. Hermione and Ron sat down on the bench in the Weasley's backyard.
"Just think," said Hermione, "it's still sunny. The birds are still chirping. We're still celebrating...When there's such evil in our world."
"What do you mean?" asked Ron, looking at her.
"I mean that, even though we know that someone we love could be killed by Voldemort at any moment-and now he's stronger than ever- we can still find happiness to celebrate for." she said still looking off into the distance.
"Yeah...I guess." said Ron following her gaze.
"So you think Harry and Ginny will ever get back together?" Hermione asked changing the subject.
"Maybe...I mean, they both have seemed...I don't know, incomplete?, ever since they broke it off." said Ron.
"Yeah, they have. I hope they get back together. It would do them both some good."
For a while they both just sat there, admiring the beautifulness of the world around them at teh moment. After a while, they went inside. Hermione told Ron that she was going to go upstairs for a bit to talk to Ginny. Ron stayed downstairs and played wizard's chess with Harry.
When Hermione entered her room, she noticed Ginny crying on her bed.
"Oh, Ginny," said Hermione walking over and sitting beside her, "what's wrong?"
"Harry *sniff* said that *sniff* that he loved me *sniff*." Ginny said between 'sniffs'.
"Well Ginny, that's a good thing! Isn't it?"
"I *sniff* don't know..." she said, crying more more now. "I told him that *sniff* I still loved *sniff* him also, *sniff* but he *sniff* just ignored *achoo!* me and said that *sniff* we couldn't be together...*sniff-sniff* but I already know that..." Ginny said putting her head on Hermione's shoulder.
"But..." Hermione started but Ginny cut her off.
"And then he said that he couldn't live without me *sniff* and *sniff* that the only thing *sniff* he could do to protect me *sniff* was to just *sniff* be *sniff* friends *sniff* ..." Ginny cried hardest now.
"Oh Ginny! I'm so sorry!" said Hermione. She couldn't really think of anything else to say. She just let Ginny cry her heart out on her shoulder. after about half an hour, Ginny lifted her head. Her cheeks we stained with tears, her eyes we red and puffy, and her hair was a mess. She didn't say anything for a minute. But she just smiled. Hermione was confused. *I thought Ginny was supposed to be sad...* Hermione thought to herself.
"I am sad," said Ginny looking at Hermione.
"Did...Did I say that outloud? whispered Hermione leaning back.
Ginny nodded, and laughed. Her laugh was so pretty. Hermione wondered why, if Harry loved her so much, he wouldn't take her back...even if he was putting her in danger. She wanted him, he wanted her, it was perfect. *Harry's so full of himself* thought Hermione.
"Yeah he really is." Ginny replied. Leaning back on the bed deside Hermione.
"Ohmygod! Did I say that outloud also?! I diddn't mean to..." Hermione said blushing.
"Yeah. Well, you'll have to help me think of something..." said Ginny.
"Something for what?"
"For getting Harry to go out with me again." said Ginny, smirking.

"Check mate!" yelled Harry.
"Aw man!" Ron said slouching in his chair. Harry had beat him three times in a row. "You know I just let you win, right?"
"Uh huh...and the grass is blue," said Harry sarcasticly.
"Common mate! REMATCH!" yelled Ron.
"No way. I am all chessed-out."
"Ugh." groaned Ron. He hated to lose. "Hey you hungry? I'm starving!" Ron was always hungry. He ate about 6 meals a day.
"I'm not hungry at all. You're just crazy." said Harry. "Well, I'm gonna go take a shower."
"Yeah, you do that, and I'll go get some food."

Both your stories are great. One thing youve done this like a million times tired is spelled like this> tired. That just annoys me. sorry.

lol. sorry about that! I mix it up all the time.

The next week, Harry talked to Ron and Hermione about the Horcruxes. He had decided that it was best to got back to Hogwarts untill their winter break, and then leave to look for the Horcruxes. Ron and Hermione were glad that he didn't want to leave right away. They still wanted to go back to school and see what would happen with Hogwarts once Dumbledore was gone.

Weeks past, and Ron, Hermione, Harry, and Ginny spent everyday outside playing quidditch. Hermione had gotten Harry to go out with Ginny again, and everyone was much happier that way.

Finally, 3 days before school started, they went to Diagon Alley to get their supplies. They traveled by floo powder...even Harry because he had not yet taken his aparation exam. Lupin, Moody, and Tonks accompanied the Weasleys, Harry, and Hermione to Diagon Alley. Ron, Hermione, Harry, and Ginny got their robes fitted, got their books, and other needed supplies before going back to the Burrow to start packing. Harry stayed an extra hour with Lupin so he could get his aparation liscence (he got it on his first try).

It was the day before they left for Hogwarts, and Mrs. Weasley was in her state of panic-she always gets it before her children go off to Hogwarts at the begining of the year. She made sure everyone had everything packed the night before. Hermione and Ginny had finished early, so they sat in their room and talked.

"I'm so excited to go back to Hogwarts!" said Ginny.
"I dunno. It's gonna be so different this year...what with Dumbledore gone and all. McGonagle didn't even think she was going to open the school again."
"Well it's a good thing she did...I mean, it's every students home away from home..." Ginny said just as Ron and Harry walked in.
"You guys done packing too?" Ron asked.
"We've been done for ages!" said Hermione.
"Well we were-" started Ron, but Mrs. Weasley cut him off from downstairs.
"Oh m god! My owls! I totally forgot about them!" said Ginny as she ran downstairs followed by Ron, Hermione, and Harry. She took the envalope out of Mrs. Weasley's hands and ripped it open. She took the parchment out and read it aloud:

Astronomy: E
Care of Magical Creatures: A
Charms: E
Defence Against the Dark Arts: O
Divination: A
Herbology: E
History of Magic: A
Potions: E
Transfiguration: O

"Well done Ginny!" cried Mrs. Weasley giving her daughter a kiss.
"Good job!" Ron, Hermione and Harry said. Ginny just smiled.
"I wonder why they were so late though..." said Ginny looking at her marks again.
"Well, it was probably because of Professor Dumbledore's death and all," said Mrs. Weasley sitting down and picking up the Daily Prophet. "Oh dear," she said looking at the paper more closely.
"What, mum?" asked Ron.
"Robert Grimmith was just killed...by You-Know-Who they think..." said Mrs. Weasley solumly.
"Who is he?" asked Ginny reading the paper over her mother's shoulder.
"Well he worked with your father for a number of years. Last year he moved to the department of Magical Creatures."
"And Voldemort killed him?" asked Harry.
"Yes. Aparantly the dark mark was seen in the sky." said Mrs. Weasley. "But I don't want you children to worry about this. Go outside and play some Quidditch before dinner."
And that's exactly what they did.

"Hurry up Ronald!" Mrs. Weasley called from the platform. They had exactly two minutes to get on the train before it left for Hogwarts. Ron got to the platform and they all ran through to the other side. "Alright, Ron, Ginny, remember to write every day and-"
"Yeah, mum, we know. Write every day and be carful. You don't have to remind us." said Ron.
"She doesn't have to remind me," said Ginny, "but as I remember from last year, you only wrote her 5 letters all year!" Ginny laughed.
"Yeah whatever. G'bye mum." said Ron. They walked onto the train.
"We just have to go to our prefects meeting," said Hermione to Harry and Ginny, "We'll catch up with you later."
"Alright. We'll find a compartment." said Harry as he and Ginny walked down the aisle to find a compartment.
Hermione and Ron walked the other way down the aisle to get to the compartment where the meeting was being held. The train started to move and they had to grab onto the railings to steady themselves.
"You have to make sure nothing goes wrong...especially since what happened at the begining of the summer..." said a voice from inside the compartement. Ron and Hermione walked in, leaving their trunks outside. "You're late," said Proffesor McGonagle. Ron and Hermione sat down. "I'll fill you in quickly. I'm on the train to make sure nothing happens, since what happened last year. It's your job to make sure everything stays the way it should. You-"
"Same stuff from last year," said Ron.
"Yes, well. I am also here to announce who Head Boy and Girl will be..." she said. "Miss Granger and Mr. Weasley, congratulations. Here are your badges. They must stay on your robes at all times."
"Thank you so much Professor!" said Hermione taking the badge.
"Alright, well go now, and make sure all of the new first years are settled in. Thankyou." said McGonagle as she left the compartment.
"Wow, I can't believe we're Head Boy and Girl!" said Hermione as she walked behind Ron to find the compartment Harry had saved them. They had just finished their train duty and it was almost lunch.
"Here they are," said Ron opening the door to the compartment. Inside on one bench sat Harry and Ginny and on the other sat Luna and Neville.
"Hey guys!" said Neville and Luna. They helped Hermione and Ron put their trunks on the shelves. Ginny moved over so that Ron and Hermione could sit together.
"So what was the meeting about?" asked Harry.
"Oh just the usual, and how we have to do our best this year because Dumbledore's dead and all," said Ron looking out the compartment window to see if the Trolly Lady was coming with lunch.
"And..." said Hermione smiling, "We're Head Boy and Girl!"
"I can see you being Head Girl...but Ron? Head Boy? Ha!" said Ginny.
"That's great guys!" said Harry, Neville, and Luna.
"Here she is!" called Ron jumping up and going to the compartment door. He opened it just as the Trolly Lady came to the door. Everyone took their turn buying the food they wanted, chocolate frogs, Butterbeer, bertie bott's every flavoured beans, pumpkin pasties, and licourice wands.
"Hey, was Malfoy at your prefect meeting?" asked Harry after a bite of his pumpkin pastie.
"I don't think so...well I didn't see him. But is he even going to come back to Hogwarts after what happened last year? I mean, would McGonagle even let him come back?" said Hermione.
"She wouldn't...he might just try and kill her too!" said Luna.
"I don't know." said Harry. They all sat quietly for a few minutes, the only noise was the noise of Ron eating the rest of Harry's food.
"I wonder what Hogwarts will be like now that Dumbledore's gone," said Ginny in a voice so quiet it was almost a whisper.
"It'll deffinitly be different, that's for sure," said Hermione in the same quiet voice.

McGonagle led the first years in like she did every year to be sorted. Griffindor got some new students, though Hermione was too busy thinking to really listen to their names. I can't believe Dumbledore's really gone... she thought. Tears started to prick her eyes...but no, she couldn't cry now...not in front of everyone. She held back the tears and forced herself to look at the head table. MCGonagle stood up from her regular chair, leaving Dumbledore's old chair empty. She clapped her hands just as Dumbledore had.
"Welcome, first years," she said. There was a certain quivering to her voice. She continued, "And welcome back for the rest of you. I am your new Head Mistress, as of what happened last year..." she looked at Harry. Hermione turned her head around slowly, to see tears forming in Harry's eyes. He looked at her, and she gave him a sympathetic look before turning around again. "I will continue teaching transfiguration and continue being Head of Griffindor House. Now, I will introduce you to your new teachers. Two teachers have left from last year, Professor Flitwick and Professor Snape. The new charms teacher is Professor Dindle and the new Defence Against the Dark Arts is Professor Grinberg." Both teachers stood as the school clapped. Professor Dindle was old and had long white hair. Professor Grinberg was young. She had brown hair that fell around her shoulders. She smiled and looked around the room. She smiled at Hermione, who turned around and realized that she was actually smiling at Harry, who smiled back, bigger than Hermione had ever seen him smile. She turned back around.
"Let the feast begin!" said McGonagle sitting down. Plates of food appeared infront of them, and everyone started eating.

"So what do you think of the new DADA teacher?" asked Ron as he and Hermione walked the first years to their common room.
"She looks nice..." said Hermione, "I saw her smiling at Harry, and he was smiling back. You think they know each other?"
"Hurry up now!" Ron shouted to the first years. To Hermione he said, "Really? I don't think he knows her...I mean, Harry's never talked abou ther before...maybe they have some kind of connection or something. Oh my god! Maybe their brother and sister!"
"Oh, Ron, stop talking rubbish. We know perfectly well that Harry has no siblings." she said turning around to make sure none of the first years were lagging behind. "But one thing McGonagle forgot to mention..." she said turning around again, "was who the new Head of Slytherin would be."
"Well, maybe it's Professor Grimburgy-or-other," said Ron as they stepped up to the portrait."
Hermione turned around and the first years stopped talking. "The pssword this week is 'phoenix feather'." the Fat Lady opened her portrait and they walked inside. To Ron, Hermione said, "Professor Grinburg Ron...not Grimburgy. And she very well might be the new Head of Slytherin. Or maybe it was the new charms teacher...what was his name again?"
"Professor Dindle, you mean?" asked Dean Thomas.
"Hey, Dean. How was your summer?" asked Ron.
"Enh, no better than usual," he said. He looked at Hermione, "How was yours?"
"It...was fine." she said, blushing.
"Well, I'll see you around," He said to Hermione, and she blushed even more. Dean walked away and joined his friends on a couch at the opposite end of the room.
"Hey. You're going out with me, remember?" Ron said giving Dean a dirty look.
"How could I forget?" asked Hermione sarcastically. "Look there's Harry." She and Ron walked over and sat on the couch by the fire beside Harry. He didn't notice them come over. He was just staring at the fire, not even blinking, thinking about their new professor.
"Um...Harry, mate? You okay?" asked Ron waving his hand in front of Harry's face.
"What? oh, yeah, I'm good." Harry said, drawing his eyes from the fire to look at Ron.
"So...when are we going to tell McGonagle about the Horcruxes?" asked Hermione changing the subject.
"I haven't really thought of that," said Harry.
"And you're going to have to tell Ginny sooner or later...and your mum too, Ron."
"Jeeze, I forgot about that," said Ron. Hermione just laughed.
"No, I can't tell Ginny. She'll just want to come. I can't let her come...she'll just be in so much danger. I can't put her through that." Harry said. He put his head in his hands and sighed.
A little while later, after everyone had gone to bed (including Hermione and Ron), Harry was still sitting there with his head in his hands.
"What have I done...What have I done?" he asked himself. "Putting my friends, the people I love, in danger?"
"Harry? Are you alright?" yawned Hermione coming down the stairs that led to the girl's dorms.
"I don't know Hermione...I don't know."
"What's on your mind?" she asked him coming to sit beside him.
"You..." he said. His head was still in his hands. He didn't look at her at all. Hermione just sat there, in her baggy pyjama pants and tank top. Harry continued, "and Ron and Ginny." Hermione let out a small sigh of relief, but to Harry it seemed like she was getting bored of him and his troubles.
"Harry let me tell you something," she said in a soothing voice. "You're really special to Ginny, you know that?"
"Yeah...yeah I do."
"She doesn't want you to have to go through everything you're going through alone."
"Well, that's what I have you and Ron for, right?" said Harry.
"No, Harry. Me and Ron, we're that person for each other. And you're the same to Ginny. So who's the same for you?" Hermione asked. Harry looked at her with questioning eyes. He gave her a look she'd never seen him give anyone before. It was a look of lonelyness, sadness, confusion, and many other things that Hermione couldn't interpret. "Harry, what I'm trying to say is, if you really love her, you'll go out with her again."
"But that would be putting her in danger!" said Harry. He was shocked Hermione had said this.
"Harry, listen to me. She's choosing to be with you. Just like me and Ron did. You can't make her change her mind."
"Alright," said Harry putting his head in his hands again.
"You should go to bed now," said Hermione walking up the stairs to her dorm. "We've got classes tomorrow."
She was right. Harry got up slowly, said goodnight to Hermione, and walked into his dorm.

The next day was like all first days of school: confusing, boring, and tiring. Ron, Hermione, and Harry all had the same time tables (they checked when McGonagle handed them out at breakfast). It was the last class they had today and they had Defece Against the Dark Arts. They walked into the class room and took their regular seets. Professor Grinberg was standing at the front of the class room, smiling at everyone as the walked in.
"Good afternoon class," Professor Grinberg said in a cheerful voice.
"Good afternoon Professor Grinberg," said the class together.
"As you all know, I am your new DADA teacher for this year. So here we have..." she looked at the clipboard she was holding and said, "Griffindor and Hufflepuff, 7th year?"
"Yes Professor," said the class in a singsong way.
"Alright, well, lets get started then." she said walking over and putting down her clipboard. She brought out a stool and carried in to the front where she was standing before. "You'll be happy to know," she said, sitting down, "That I am not a strict teacher," the class cheered. Instead of telling them to be quiet, Professor Grinberg just waited untill they were quiet, smiling. "but, I do give homework. Now, can anyone tell me what we'll be doing this term?"
Hermione's hand shot up in the air. Ron passed a note to Harry saying:

of course. Hermione won't be any different this year.

Harry laughed quietly.

"Yes, Miss Granger?" asked Professor Grinberg.
"Well," said Hermione, "from what I read in a book, we'll be learning how to protect ourselves from-"
"WRONG!" yelled Professor Grinberg.
Everyone just stared open-mouthed at Hermione, who turned a deep shade of red. Ron passed another note to Harry:

oh my god...did Grinberg just say WRONG??? to HERMIONE???

Harry passed the note back:

that's what I heard...shocking.

"We will be learning how to block mindreading." said Professor Grinberg.
"What?" the class murmered.
"You see," said Professor Grinberg, "The Dark Lord, or Voldemort," some people in the class shuddered and ghasped when she said his name, "uses peoples minds to get to what they really care about." she glanced at Harry for a second, then looked back to the rest of the class. "So, this term, I have decided to teach you how to block people from reading your mind...and your most private memories." And with that, the bell rang, signalling the end of the class.
Ron, Harry, and Hermione walked back to the common room for their double free period. None of the teachers had given them any homework today so they just sat and talked. Hermione was mad at the new DADA teacher. She yelled the password to the Fat Lady, stormed inside the common room, saat down on a chair, and crossed her arms over her chest. Her lip was pouted and she looked like she might cry. Ron and Harry had to run to keep up with her.
"Aw, common, Hermione! It was one stupid question! It's not like she actually expected you to get it right..."
"Yeah, but I did!" shouted Hermione.
"Okay, Okay calm down." said Harry.
"Grinberg's kinda hott, eh Harry?" said Ron.
"RONALD!" screetched Hermione, tears streaming down her face.
"What?" Ron said defensively.
"I can't believe you woudl say that! Infront of ME!!!" She yelled.
"Okay, jeeze, sorry Miss Grumpy Pants." said Ron sarcastically. Harry just sat there and watched them argue.
They've argued before they'll get over it...although this is turning out to be more that just a stupid little arguement... thought Harry.
Hermione, tears streaming down her face, lifted her hand and hit Ron in the face...hard.
"OW!" he yelled, "What was that for?!"
"For dissing your girlfriend!" said Ginny walking over.
"Ginny! Stay out of this!" said Ron turning to look at her.
"Common Hermione," said Ginny taking Hermione's arm and pulling her to the stairs. She looked back once, and gave Harry a very dirty look that said, 'you retard. why didn't you interfere? we'll talk later.'

Over the next few weeks, Ron and Hermione barely talked. The only time they did speak to each other was during meals (to pass something), when they were doing homework (to ask questions), and saying goodnight. Harry was so out of everything, he didn't even know if they were still going out. He and Ginny had talked later that night (when the fight first started) and she had yelled at him for not interfering. She hadn't been hanging out with him, Ron, and Hermione as much anymore. Harry felt like her hardly knew her...hardly knew anyone.
He sat with Hermione alone in the common room doing homework one night. She wasn't talking to him. She wouldn't even help him with his homework.
"WOOHOO!" shouted Dean Thomas as he and some other seventh years walked into the common room. "Hey Harry, Hermione, wanna play a game of intense truth or dare with us?"
"no, not-" started Hermione, but Harry cut her off.
"Oh common, Hermione. It'll be fun. Besides, you need to have some fun and forget about what happened between you and Ron." said Harry.
"Yeah, I guess you're right. Okay, I'll play."
Everyone sat in a circle on the floor. Dean brought out an empty butter beer bottle and placed it in the middle. "All right! I'll spin first," he said, giving the bottle a spin. It landed on Parvati. "Okay, Parvati, I dare you to...snog..." he looked around the circle. "Neville!"
Neville blushed, and Parvati looked horrified. But either way, she was dared to kiss him, and she had to do it. They moved into the middle of the circle, all eyes watching them, and pressed their lips together. After a minute, Neville pulled back. He was blushing bright red and his face looked like it was about o explode. Parvati just smiled. Everyone laughed.
Five songs and many embarassing dares later, the bottle finally landed on Hermione.
Neville was going to dare her. "I dare you to snog Harry," he said. Hermione and Harry both looked shocked. Clearly Neville hadn't heard about Ron and Hermione. But, a dare was a dare. They moved into the middle of the circle and faced each other. They hesitated for a minute, then Hermione pressed her cold lips against Harry's. She felt her face heat up, which was nice to her, since she'd been cold all day. Harry pressed his tounge through her lips.
"What the hell is going on here?"
Hermione and Harry pulled back and looked to the common room door. Standing there, books in hand, was Ron.

OMG.... THIS IS SO EVIL.... Im like screaming my head off here... Please write more, I love it, omg, oh lord, please continue I cant wait to see what happens, oh lord.... You are such a good writer!!! I love it!!

keep goin i luv it more an more each time i read

thanks guys! okay well I'm kinda stuck so if you have any ideas for me please post...but here's the next part:

Ron stood there, frozen with time. He couldn't believe that Harry would do that to him. Everyone was just still sitting there, on the floor staring at him.
"Well, um, I think I'll go to bed," said Dean.
"Yeah, good idea," said one girl. Everyone but Harry and Hermione got up and went to their dorms.
"Ron...it's not what you think-" said Harry getting up.
"No, Harry. I think I know esactly what you were doing." he said. He was yelling now. Hermione could see the tears forming in his eyes, she could feel the tears forming in her too. She had loved Ron more than anyone in the world. The kiss with Harry was just some stupid dare.
"Ron! You don't understand!" yelled Hermione, crying now. Harry and Ron just looked at her, startled. They had never heard her yell that loud. "It was just a stupid dare!" she walked over to Ron and stood infront of him. "Ron, it's you I love...not Harry." she whispered.
"Whatever Hermione. I don't care anymore." he said. He walked around her and up the stairs to his dorm.
"RON! WAIT!" she yelled after him, but Ron didn't listen. He stomped up the stairs and slamed the door shut. Hermione walked to the couch in front of the fire and sat on it. Tears were streaming down her face.
"Hermione," said Harry quietly, walking over to her and sitting down. "I'm so sorry."
"Don't say anything Harry. Ron hates me now. There's nothing I can do about it."
"Well, he hates me too. I mean, I kissed you. You were his girlfriend."
"No, Harry. You didn't kiss me. We kissed each other. It's both of our faults." said Hermione. Her and Harry sat there on the couch for a minute, just staring at the fire, both crying silently. After a minute, Hermione got up and walked up the stairs to her dorm. Harry just sat there, still staring at the fire.
What have I done? thought Harry. He whiped his eyes on his robes. He was so tired. He didn't want to go upstairs though, incase Ron was still awake. He lay down on the couch, and fell asleep.
The next morning, Ron awoke to someone shaking him. "Ron, wake up. We're already late for breakfast." said the voice. At first he thought it was Harry, but then he remembered what had happened last night. He opened his eyes and saw Neville standing over him.
"I'll meet you down there," said Ron getting out of bed.
"Allright, see you," said Neville walking out the door.
Ron was left in silence. He still couldn't believe that Harry had done that to him. He was so mad at him. Ron got dressed and walked down to the common room. No one was there. He stepped out of the portrait and walked to the Great Hall. He walked up the the Griffindor table and noticed that Harry and Hermione weren't sitting together.'Whatever', thought Ron. He went and sat down beside Dean. No one talked to him during the whole meal.
"Harry, wake up." she said, shaking Harry awake.
"Oh, Hermione..." said Harry. Hermione handed him his glasses. He took them and put them on. "Listen, I'm really sorry about last night,"
"Harry it doesn't matter any more," said Hermione shaking her head. "It's over now."
Harry stood up. "I'm just gonna go get dressed."
"Okay. But Harry..." said Hermione. SHe looked at her feet.
"What? What's wrong?" he asked her.
"Harry, after what happened last night...I don't really think we're friends with Ron anymore. And-" she started to cry a little. "And I don't feel right being friends with you when I'm not friends with Ron."
"I...Hermione...What are you talking about?" asked Harry. 'Is she thinking okay?' thought Harry.
"Harry...I just think it's for the best." And with that, she walked down to the Great Hall.
'I think I just lost my two best friends,' Harry thought as he watched Hermione leave. He went up to his dorm room to get dressed. Ron was still asleep when Harry entered the room. He changed into his jeans and put on another white shirt. He re-tied his robes and walked down to the Great Hall. When he got there, he noticed Hermione sitting with Parvati. The mail hadn't arrived yet...not that Harry was expecting anything. He sat down with Seamus and started eating. Seamus just looked at him weirdly, then continued eating.

The few remaining weeks before Halloween past. Ron, Hermione, and Harry never talked anymore. They all had different friends now. Ginny was really upset because she couldn't talk to Hermione as much because Hermione insisted that they stop, and she couldn't talk with Harry since now he was her brother's worst enemy.
Hermione was sitting alone in the common room infront of the fire the night before Halloween, doing homework. She had to write an essay on Mind Reading for Professor Grinberg. She heard the portrait creek over. She looked towards it to see who was coming in. It was just Ron. She sighed and turned back to her essay. Ron came over and sat beside her. Hermione pretended that she hadn't noticed. Ron took out his essay too, and started to write. After a few minutes, he stopped, crumpled up his parchment, and threw it into the fire. Hermione kept writing.
"Hermione," Ron said quietly.
"Ron, if you want another apology, I'm not giving it to you. I've said sorry a million times and you've ignored me each time." she said, not taking her eyes off of her parchment.
"Hermione," he said again, "I don't want an apology. I'm giving you one."
Hermione looked at him. "What?" she asked.
"I'm sorry." he said quietly. "I was talking to Dean, and well, he told me that you guys were dared to, well, you know, kiss...and then you did because you guys didn't wanna feel like, well, retards...so you did...kiss..."
"So what you're saying is..."
"Will you go to the Halloween Dance with me?" Ron asked her. A hopeful look was on his face.
Hermione smiled. "Of course I will." she said. Ron smiled.
"Now, will you help me with my essay?" he asked her.
"Yeah, alright." she said, laughing.

yay!!! big grin !! so beautiful... sniff, sniff...

Keep going!! its awesome!!

but, whats gonna happen with Harry?? confused

dont have Harry cry at all. He never cries. Just have him like sigh or sumthing. It just wrong to have Harry cry. Hes the brave one remember hes supposed to be a roll model he shouldnt cry at sumthing as little as that.

yeah your right. ok well instead of Harry crying he sighs...loudly. lol. I'm not gonna re-write it though. it took me kinda a long time to write it in the first place so...I'll just continue with the story.

here's the next part of the story...if you have any ideas for the part after this, please post. thanks!

"But...what about Harry?" Hermione asked Ron quietly once they were done their essays.
"Don't worry, I'll talk to him." said Ron. "He's up in our dorm. And I'm getting pretty tired so I'll go talk to him now."
"Okay," said Hermione. Ron packed up his books and started walking for the stairs when Hermione called out to him, "Ron, wait!"
Ron turned around. "What?" he asked her.
Hermione ran up to him. She closed her eyes and stood on her tip-toes and kissed Ron softly on the lips. He put his arm around her waist and kissed her back. After around five minutes Ron pulled back smiling. Hermione was smiling too.
"I better go talk to Harry," Ron told her.
"Okay," she said giving him a hug. "Goodnight."
"Goodnight Hermione."

Harry was still up when Ron walked into the dorm room. Harry just ignored him though. Neville, Seamus, and Dean were downstairs playing wizard's chess in the common room. They had walked in just as he was walking up the stairs and had asked him if he wanted to play. He was about to say yes when Hermione gave him a stern look. Ron threw his books on the floor and put on his pyjamas (aka boxers and a t-shirt). Harry was sitting on his bed, trying to master a spell from a book. He wasn't having much luck though. Ron walked over to Harry's bed and just stood there. After ten boring minutes of hearing Harry mutter the same words over and over again, he finally spoke.
"Hey." said Ron.
"Hey." said Harry.
"Listen Harry. I forgive you."
"For what?" asked Harry looking up at Ron.
"For kissing my girlfriend."
"So you guys are okay then?" asked Harry turning back to his book.
"Yeah we're good." said Ron. He sat down on Harry's bed. "So, who are you gonna take to the Halloween dance tomorrow?"
"Well, I was gonna take Ginny, but we had to brake up 'cause you and me aren't friends any more."
"Harry you're being stupid." said Ron.
"What do you mean?" said Harry giving Ron a look.
"Like I said, I forgive you. Can we please be friends again?"
"Are you serious? Ron, I kissed your Hermione. I kissed your girlfriend!"
"Yeah. But Dean told me what happened...and I forgive you." Harry didn't know what to say. He was thankful what Ron spoke, "And you're taking Ginny to the dance...no matter how much you don't want to."
"Thanks, mate." said Harry, smiling. Ron got into his bed and both boys fell asleep.

"Students," said Professor McGonagle. Ron, Hermione, and Harry were sitting together again. Ginny was sitting beside Harry. Hermione had told her what had happened, and she was so happy. "Sudents!" said Professor McGonagle, louder this time. The Great Hall became quieter at once. "Students, due to the fact that today is Halloween, and tonight is the Halloween Ball, I have decided to cancel all classes for the day."
Every single student in the Great Hall cheered. They hadn't had a free day yet this year.
"All right, back to your breakfast." said Professor McGonagle sitting down in her chair. Hermione noticed that the chair Dumbledore had once sat in was still empty.
"You would've thought she'd be sitting in it by now," said Hermione picking up a piece of toast.
"What are you talking about?" asked Ginny.
"McGonagle is still leaving Dumbledore's chair empty. I would've thought she'd be sitting in it by now..." said Hermione putting peanut butter on her toast.
"Yeah...well maybe she's not over his death just yet," said Harry.
"Could be." said Ron as he shoved a pankcake into his mouth. Hermione rolled her eyes and Ginny laughed.

Hermione awoke with a start. She looked around at her surroundings. She was in the Gryffindor common room. 'Where's Ron?' she thought to herself. "He's probably downstairs in the Great Hall with Harry," she muttered getting up off the couch. She headed to the portrait hole, when she heard a blood-curdling scream. Hermione rushed to the window, looking down at the grounds, but saw nothing. She ran out of the portrait hole, and down the stairs, her bushy brown hair flying behind her.
