I know about the christmas easter thing.christmas I don't know what it celebrates, but Easter=birth of summer, Halloween=Death of summer. However, they are ****ed because of George II of England Where everything must be done his way. Arse. Not you, your cool.
Actually, it is the person who wrote that article that is ignorant about Christian history as are Christians about origins of their holidays and symbols.
The ORIGINAL christian symbol is fish, NOT cross.
The fish symbol, of course pre-dates Christianity as well, but for the sake of the argument, fish was an adopted symbol of Christianity, and is the original symbol.
It is only in the later date that cross became sagnificant and influential symbol as ''look at how jesus suffered for you''
Second - Ancient Egypt does not have anything to do with Christian 'cross' symbolism.
Crussifiction was EXCLUSIVLY roman punishment, and Jesus was crusified just like many others - thus his crusifiction became a symbolism - it has absolutely no relevance to Ancient Egyptians.
