Who do you think are the most overrated and underrated heroes and villains in comics these days in terms of skill and power?

Hulk overrated.

Iceman underratet.

Venom underrated.

People just can't get used to that almighty Hulk could get his a$$ kicked by many other characters.

Wolverine is overrated, but I think in his recent comics he isn't being so overrated anymore.

I think Juggernaut, Venom, Wolverine, and Hulk are all overrated. On these boards at least.

Yeah, I didn't really like much of Daniel Way's Wolverine, but he did a good job in making the character fallable again. Silver Samurai messed him up, he was able to be hurt--he healed but it wasn't godly instantaneous. Bucky/Winter Soldier ruined his shit too.

I think Cap's overrated often, but Brubaker's done a great job of making him a hero, while making him hero and giving him weakness.

Underrated imo are......

Can you please tell me in what way Namor is overrated?

He's the first character of Marvel and hardly shows up in any books. Most people have only heard of him, don't even know what his powers are clearly. I have to explain same things over and over again the new members (most still think he's Class 85). How is that overrated?

This is true, but he is constantly put up against people he can't win against, which is why some people think he is over-rated.

Wolverine and Spider-man are also put up against people they don't stand a chance against.

There's a lot of hate for Thing nowadays. He's gonna lose to Slade? This guy's taken on Black Bolt! Ugh. Ten years ago, when I was a kid, people would be saying f*ck Slade. Ben's a stud, and is VERY underrated.

Deathstroke isn't overrated though. He is extremely skilled.

Aquaman is highly underrated in most places. As is Vision.

Aquaman is underrated on RetroCRUSH, which can basically be called "The Anti-Aquaman Fan Site."

Aquaman is the shiznitz , you might as well rename him to 'Kill all mutants ' man . Because as soon as another crossover starts he's gonna be thrashing the X-men.

Yeah, that is true.

Darkseid is underrated by his current writers.

Sentry is pretty overrated, due to his "Power of a Million Exploding Suns" and his supposed stalemate against Galactus.

Once again I'm the only one to mention Alpha Flight is underated.

I totally agree. Superman is so overrated! Even in the Superman forum, all the Thread Titles make him seem like he can never ever be beaten. "Doomsday killed superman.......should not have happened"? What the Pug?!? (old english version of the modern F Bomb)

I like Supes but DC needs to tone it down a bit.cursingchair

Marvel also needs to tone it down with Wolverine. The guy appears in every other comic and even on covers to comics he doesn't appear in and consistently fights people who are way out of his league.

Marvel could not show him at all in the next couple of years and he'd still probably be one of the most overused characters in comicdom.

Doomsday (walking plot device)
Namor (lol just playin' DC)
Onslaught (see Doomsday)
Korvac (some1 was high when they wrote that story line)
Superman Prime/Superboy Prime /PreCrisis (they almost seem like DBZ characters with ridiculous powers, it gets stupid and old fast)
"Omega" level mutants
Magneto (not that I hate him, but him and a handful of other villians get way too much exposure)
Recent Spawn (his power level has gotten way out of hand these days)

Underrated:

Shuma Gorath (not really, he gets respect just he needs more exposure)
Black Bolt (slowly developing a large fanbase)

Leader (he could be written so much better)

Not too many I've heard of but Vision. I'm not into it but the comic deserves some props. And Moon knight (love this guy) Why does everyone seem to hate him?

Still he IS overrated.

yes DD is very overrated I mean he's blind. Why can't a guy with like an assault rifle just blow him away. he's not bulletproof and come on he shouldn't be able to dodge bullets either

oh and Multipleman is way too underrated if he was written right he could do some real damage
