Can someone please explain to me how spiderman managed to defeat a herald? I know it must have required some major PIS/CIS, but I am curious as to how that was written (even with PIS/CIS, an arachnid derived hero shouldn't be able to defeat a herald).

There is no explanation for it.
The scans of the fight are in the Spidey respect thread (page 1, I think).

ya know, i did a thread about firestorm v sinestro, and almost everyone said firestorm. sinestro is pretty close to hal who is damn close or maybe equal to ss. by that reasoning, firestorm should certainly defeat firelord as ss>firelord. how exactly would firelord defeat firestorm? anyone? the only thing would have is a speedblitz, but fs isn't exactly slow . . .

i don't see fl beating fs at all.
