Mxy wins.

Mxy just MIGHT be the most powerful character in comics. We've never really seen HIS limit.

In one Superman comic right before the Crisis, he had already read the script and knew which pages Superman would be on and what he'd be doing... then he appeared and beat up a writer, then went and told the editor that he wasn't up to par and got him screamed at by his boss. He also knew the Crisis was coming some time ago, and has been preparing Superman for it by engaging him in event after event. He also knew the titles of all the other Crisis' and mentioned them as well.

He's beyond the comic universe altogether.

So why did he not prevent the loss of his powers then? For one so beyond the Dc universe his powers seem awfully dependent on the state of magic in said universe.

Care to clarify? Im honestly intrigued.

Care to clarify? Im honestly intrigued. Well, he could have made the writer write it differently. O.o

But yes, he did seem to go powerless in the comic dimension.

Truth is, he could have avoided it all together. He knew the future. He was telling Superman about the Crisis a long time ago, and knew how it would all play out. The only real conclusion that can be drawn is that he is bound by certain rules.

Juntai
Hmm. I dunno, he's definately in that highest tier though.

Aren't the rules self-imposed by mxy himself like making him say his name backwards to send him back.Or is it just something different all together?

No one knows, it's never been specified, but it seems clear he acts not to completely disturb the universe... usually. In the comic when he was describing the crisis to Superman, it seemed as if he was unable to tell him the real information that he wanted to. And didn't or couldn't stop it himself, but rather came to train Superman to help him win.

In that case it seems you were correct in your assumptions. For all his power it does sound like he is bound by certain rules. Him acknowledging the comic book writers as an act alone however isnt good evidence to support him being of the highest tier because even She hulk can and has done that on many occassions. Its called breaching the fourth wall or some sh*t like that lol.

He asked Grant if he was god. lol.

But, Mxys feats and stuff are what puts him in the highest tier. No one has really challenged him personally. And he's proven even portions of his power can rewrite or shatter the universe.

Rewriting or shattering the universe in and of itself isnt the best of feats if it was accomplished without challenge from fundamental forces. How did that event play out? You got any issue numbers? I might try and get hold of them.
