ok, whenever I make a thread thats probably already made, people tell me "Yo, its been done" so i go to the search joint and I dont see nothin. I waste my fuggin time/life goin through page to page when I end up findin nothin. I think the search engine sucks ass. anyone agree?

No, I tend to agree with Jacope on this one...the KMC search engine sucks.

At the bottom of the page in every forum is a search box, use that.

I can find what I'm looking for 99% of the time.

It's the google search that does that, not the VB search, though.

Ok I had to bump this thread because now it sucks again. You see I used the Search engine Lana told me right here

And at first it was going well, it showed me everything by thread.....But now it shows me a bunch of posts....the search sucks once again. If I am doing anything wrong, please tell me?

New search is up and running and blindingly fast. There are some new advanced operators you can use in your search:


userid: search by user - so userid:1 will only return results by me. You can get the userid of a user by looking at the URL from the profile of the person you want to search by. Or by entering the username in the advanced section of the search.

forumid: search by forum - so forumid:61 will only return results from the OTF. You can get the forumid by looking at the URL of the forum.

threadid: search by thread - so threadid:10813 will only return results from the "Random Comments" thread (our largest on KMC). You can get the threadid again by looking at the URL of the thread.

title: search by title - title:google will return all threads with the word google in them.


Only thing left is "results as thread" option, which will be done by the end of this week.

Yes, as a matter of fact. Even when you spell something correctly, they never show it. It's a horrible search engine.

I hate this search engine. It sucks ass. disgust

They should stuff the search engine with porn......
