A Symbol can be a powerful thing. It arouses pride, courage, honor, and even confidence. It can also cause harm, hatred, and controversy. Symbols are also historic and at times can be geographical. Symbols are nearly everywhere. They can be found in Religions, Sciences, Politics, Science Fiction, Fantasy, etc...

What really causes people (including myself) to like or even love these symbols?

Do you have a favorite Symbol?

Your comments.

I think symbols are cool. They kind of identify a person with what they believe. Even tattoos. Though some can cause hatred and be used to promote evil if one doesn't accept them, as in many religious ones. Once desecrated then it seems to start wars... They should never be pushed upon another. I'm not sure I have a favorite one myself. Though at one time I used to wear an "Italian Horn" charm just for my heritage.

Depending on which mythology you look at it is a symbol of royalty, the hawk god Horus. It's Egyptian.

Great Vengeance
Symbols represent an idea or a feeling, and they present themselves in a visual manner so it appears plain and defined to the public, which is the source of its power.

Mindship
Symbol for Infinity is pretty cool.
So is the "S" shield.
