Dredd is a law enforcement officer in a violent city of the future where uniformed Judges combine the powers of police, judiciary and government.

Joe Dredd (judge dredd)is the most famous of the elite corps of Judges that run Mega-City One.

Gill was one of a small batch of experimental GM soldiers..
(Genetically modified) this included enhancements on strength, speed, agility and perception.. also resilient and resistant to injury plus his outta layer of skin is seven times more durable than normal human skin.

I love the new "Daredevillish" looks, streekz, and Dredd is one "well'ard" mother ****er... I never knew much about him. What's the film like?

thanks, it was my first attempt at designing my own sig..
i aint much of a hard core fan of dredd, but i have just started reading his stuff. so hopefully i can add loads more feats as i go along..
i gona start reading the batman/judge dredd files. so i will be adding dredd mixing it with batman hopefully tomorrow..
as for the film.. dont ask!!

The film has all the potential elements - I even thought Sly Stallone was a good pick to play Dredd. But, he apparently had too much input, and the director - Danny Cannon - couldn't match the tone of the book, which is like a satire of Dirty Harry mixed in with other things regarding everyday politics. The wrong story too; they get Stallone out of Dredd's gear way too early, when he should have spent nearly the entire running time in the helmet.
I've heard for years they're trying to start over; maybe film, maybe TV. I'll tell you, when I hear Dredd speak in the comics, I think of the actor Clancy Brown.

Hurm. If a Dredd TAS was done... it would have to be different from teh BTAS. More gritty, probably more violent. Like the Spawn Animated Series, perhaps.

i would have to agree his comics are quite dark that a light animated series wouldn't suit his character..

I like Brian Bolland's artwork on the monochrome Dredd stories better. He's a great artist, can do excellent facial expression stuff.

i just started reading dredd so as i go along i shall post what i can.. so hopefully it will soon be on here...

Where'd you meet them?

Chicago. They were in a Suncoast the day before a show there. I got to meet them, get autographs, talk movies and comics, and so forth. It was awesome.

Pretty cool. I know Ian's a huge fan of Dredd.... what other stuff do they read?

A lot of Marvel stuff. Belladonna is a huge fan of Spider-Man. John Bush told me he has subscriptions to about 25 comic, mostly from Marvel as well. They like the Marvel stuff and the lesser knowns, like Spawn and Judge Dredd.

Judge Dredd.... the game kind of opened my eyes to how cool he was. Didn't like the film.

Me neither. I asked the guys from 'Thrax about it. They were kinda upset that they didn't get asked about the song being in the movie.

Judge Dredd has had 3 crossover books with Batman that I have seen and Dredd always gives Batman a run for his money if not puts him near his grave.

He's also really mean

they are always arguing over how they deliver there justice..

if castle was in his time line then they probably would but dredd dont like vigilantes and thats how he would probably see castle, he has trouble getting on with batman... or should i say batman has trouble getting on with him..

Every book I've seem them in they exchange blows.

i like the piece where dredd shoots at batman and hits riddler, batman asks him how he knew he was wearing amor plating.... dredd replied 'i didnt'

also the piece where batman is hitting dredd, while this is going on dredd is counting his sentence....

Man, I thought I was the only one that collected those books.

But the subjects were great.

How about when Judge Dredd picked a fight with Batman and clocked it so he could save Batman's life.

This is very good streekz... Dreedd's a real BAD ASS he's 2000AD, yeah?

The Batman/Judge Dredd crossovers are hilarious, becuase they spend nearly the whole story beating on each other, with Dredd keeping a running count on Batman's sentence - "Two more for lip, Creep."

They should.... but it would have to be handled very well to be good.

Who would write? And who for art? Maybe Miller would work for the writer....

No. Mark Millar would ruin the Punisher. I'd say either the guy who wrote the Taskmaster mini, or Garth Ennis.

Frank Miller's great but I prefer it when he works alongside Mazzuchelli, his art isnt as good...

Mazzuchelli was excellent choice for Born Again. I like Miller's art better in monochrome, as I said for the Sin Cities.

Yeah, it was excellent. Didn't like the Nuke stuff though. The beginning was better, where Matt was going loopy.

Dredd isn't invincible so i will show a battle's which he lose's as well as wins.. simply because he has the guts to go against them knowing he isn't the favourite to win it..

Nice fight. He's a toughie.

Remember, the person doesn't have to win the fight for it to be a respect feat. He could have lost, yet gained the upper hand at some point, or made a good showing, or escaped in an impressive way.

Armon Gill is very tough, he is a genetically modified soldier so i would say it is a feat to take him down when any normal human wouldn't really have a chance. Before the battle that Dredd lost, Armon had killed about 4 or 5 judges.

Why? They both kill for the law's purposes.

dredd would see punisher as a vigilante, he hates vigilante's..
dredd can be too much towards the law thats why he had problems with batman. frank castle would make a good judge though..

I would like to do my own topic for Dredd like this but is more than one allowed because this one seems a bit messy.
