I've been on a few comic boards in my day, and there are some things out there about Slade that either aren't explained well enough, or just are flat out crap. Here's a few:

Slade can hit Flash if Flash is going full speed.
Slade can dodge Superman if Superman is going full speed.
Slade could take on Wonder Woman.

etc, etc. Well, what I'm going to do is give a dissection of Slade Wilson, and what he can and cannot do.

The kneecapping. Notice the mention of a tranquilizer. Though Impulse would metabolize it out quickly, this is not an indication of Slade being able to hit Impulse with a shotgun blast. This is Slade hitting a target that's standing still. If anything, this is how ruthless he is.

Slade's reactions are at the speed of his thought process. Though this is quick, it does NOT make him quicker than Spider-Man, who can move 15x quicker than a normal man, or Quicksilver who is even quicker than Spider-Man.

Slade tagging Kid Flash. Now, there are two things to keep in mind here.
1. Kid Flash is not moving full speed in a sprint, so this is not his quickest.
2. Slade is getting tagged at a very rapid pace. He was able to dodge one hit, then roll with the momentum and tag him.

These scans speak well for his pain tolerance. Here's when people get it mixed up.
Durability is bulletproofing.
Pain Tolerance is being able to push past pain.
Slade is not durable enough to take anti-tank rounds to the chest. He can heal quick enough to take it, and can push past the pain. Guess it speaks well for his healing abilities as well.

Damn. His quickness and the hormone additive allow him to see things slower than most people. However, THIS IS NOT PRECOGNITION! He's getting no forewarning of what happening. I'll explain more later.

Slade just punked Wally West? How? First of all, he's not precognative. The first blast was while Wally was just turning around. Then, Slade made sure there was only one way for Wally to go, and that was where he was. That is planning ahead, NOT PRECOG! It's a strategy feat.

This is the instinct mode. This is where he can mentally put himself to where his only thoughts are on survival, due to his 90% brain control. It allows him to push past pain easy.

There we go. So, I hope I've cleared things up. Here's what I've discovered through my research:
Slade is an amazing tactician, but is not precognative.
Slade cannot speedblitz
Slade has enhanced reflexes. He does NOT have superspeed.

He's stronger then five tons though, he once easily carried a thing that took a hundred men to carry at the place.

Otherwise, pretty good.

I wasn't being very generous with the strength, to be honest. It may be more around 7 or 8.

I also just noticed a couple grammatical errors on my part. Let me correct them real quick.

And giving new fans something to drool at. Probably the generation of Deathstroke fans won't be using stupid arguments and fakefeats to back up their favourite character, so you might have done us a tremendous favour, Thunderstrike.

Slade is a very cool and tough character, but he does have his downpoints. This thread illustrates that beautifully.

Every character has those. And most of the character have some serious fanboys too, but making a thread like this is still cool. Gives some perspective for the users.

You're missing the point. WW is a herald level being, and Slade gave her trouble. Also, you missed the biggest point: The comic says Slade IS INDEED faster than Wonder Woman. There goes the "He has no superspeed" argument.



Not, Superman isn't moving full speed. But, the next page shows Superman saying "You're FASTER than your billing, mister. I wasn't even able to react to use my heat vision in time" Again, emphasizing Slade's speed.


They downplay his senses when he's in a group, otherwise, how else are you going to use Cheetah if Slade can do it himself?

Slade's senses are wolverine level if not more. Oh, they ALSO "forgot" to mention Slade has built in radar in his mask.

No he doesn't. He (Slade) simply says he's on par or even faster than kid Flash. An issue earlier, Slade side stepped Starfires beam with Kid Flash was too slow to do.


Slade had no powers at the time, no super strength/speed/healing or otherwise. He was also tired from just fighting a 12 or two superheroes including a GL. So, basically it's a normal human v aquaman and Slade still came out on top.



Superman's blasts move at light speed, the Flash himself probably couldn't have dodged it. But, Slade's reflexes were fast enough to notice the blast before it hit him.



He can and has many, many times. He can blitz a normal human close up as if they were standing still.


That's news to his creator and 99% of his non-batman feats. He has a decent amount of superspeed, his creator said "He can hang with Flash for the first few steps."

Actually this thread is retarted I noticed that all the scans are from the Slade respect thread.......

TS more then likely hasn't even read the books where the scans are from so his explanations are just his own interpretation of what the scans show,with no knowledge of what happens before or after the actual scan.

From what I've seen, the only other scan that's not in that thread is the one of Superman ramming Slade into a wall. Slade is a very inconsitant character though. Nothing in this thread seemed innacurate. It seems like it was basically started to quell the fanboy rumours. I've read Slade's stuff, and to be honest, he doesn't have superspeed. He's enhanced human with a strength upgrade. He's quicker than the average Joe, but not super-speed.

They downplay his senses when he's in a group, otherwise, how else are you going to use Cheetah if Slade can do it himself?

Slade's senses are wolverine level if not more. Oh, they ALSO "forgot" to mention Slade has built in radar in his mask.

No he doesn't. He (Slade) simply says he's on par or even faster than kid Flash. An issue earlier, Slade side stepped Starfires beam with Kid Flash was too slow to do.


Slade had no powers at the time, no super strength/speed/healing or otherwise. He was also tired from just fighting a 12 or two superheroes including a GL. So, basically it's a normal human v aquaman and Slade still came out on top.



Superman's blasts move at light speed, the Flash himself probably couldn't have dodged it. But, Slade's reflexes were fast enough to notice the blast before it hit him.



He can and has many, many times. He can blitz a normal human close up as if they were standing still.


That's news to his creator and 99% of his non-batman feats. He has a decent amount of superspeed, his creator said "He can hang with Flash for the first few steps."

Slade doesn't really possess super speed like in terms of Flash or even Quicksilver but in terms of Spiderman. Amazing reaction time and pretty decent running speed as people note its due to his quickness and reflexes he can keep up with the Flashes for a couple of steps but no one suggests he can outrun. But Slade is does have some kind of Superspeed just not as high as what people normally think of when it comes to speedsters.

In these pics Nightwing does amazingly well againt slade despite slade being soo much faster and more skilled...................
The reason Nightwing can do that beside being a total beast is that he knows how Slade thinks and fights better than anyone.This is a case of someone using Slade's best asset(planning and knowledge) against him.You gotta remember he grew up fighting Slade.

Uh, Superspeed is a constant running speed. Slade has enhanced reflexes. Bit of a difference.

This means he does have some degrees of Superspeed in terms of consant running just not as high as what people would normally associate with a speedster like quicksilver.

Meaning that he's enhanced. He doesn't have superspeed. He's quicker than the average person. He's been enhanced, but he's no speedster by any way, shape, or form.

I already broke down this thread in versus thread a while back, when someone tried to use this as proof of something, most all of those are taken out of context....Looks like Long Pig covered it in this thread though... I'm surprised this is still surfacing.

What I'm saying is he doesn't possess Super-speed in terms of quicksilver and flash where every move they make is shown as being a blur. Slade can run fast just not the blurring speed other more known speedsters do.
Just how you have low tier super strength Slade possesses low tier Super-speed see what I'm trying to say

Anyone that can run faster than a human is capable of has super-speed.

Slade has Superhuman running speed as well. Can anyone non-speeder run 10+ faster than a human? No.

How fast can a an Olympic athlete run? 15-20mph? What's 10x20mph? ****ing fast.

EW! I got a few new killer Slade feats.
One is where Slade uses his super-mind to calculate and determine how many soldiers, how much they weigh, what they are carrying all by hearing their foot steps ALL this in under one second. Hell, the narrator says "In under a second, he tabulates yada-yada"

Then, there's a feat where Slade jumps after a woman who falls off a 500+feet building, lands feet first on a car, crushing it and jumps back up 20 feet to catch the lady mid-fall. He was un-harmed.
