Superman himself said that Martian Manhunter was the most powerful of the JLA. He also said that he would be afraid of the Martian Manhunter if he ever went rogue and he had to fight him. So, with that in mind, who would win in a fight between the Manhunter from Mars and the Son of Odin? Now, I'm talkin' an all out, no-holds barred, givin' all they got, kind of fight...there's no prep and the fight takes place in space around the JLA watchtower....who wins?
Scoobless
I think Thor would win
Mindship
I think Thor wins. That hammer is a fearsome weapon. If MM can separate the two, then I give it to him. Maybe telepathy would work; I don't know. Assuming it doesn't, Thor wins 3/4.
Validus
I'm pretty sure telepathy would work. Fernus was not a better telepath than normal J'onn. He was just cutting loose.
Still, I'd lean slightly towards Thor.
Scoobless
Thor is very rarely (if ever) affected by telepathy
Accel
Thor has actually shown to be pretty resistant to telepathy before. I still remember once when he resisted a telepathic assault that not even Moondragon could withstand and he managed to keep on going.
He's also shown to have some defense against intangibility:

(scan stolen from Validus)
MM's one tough mofo and would take some victories of his own, but I'd say Thor takes the majority.
Validus
Wonder Woman has a high TP resistance also resisting skyfathers and such. J'onn was owning her.

Would J'onn maybe have an advantage at getting into WW's mind because of the JLA link they all have?

Possibly. Maybe the JLA mindlink was active.

Ares and Circe are skyfather level in DC. Not 1970's Marvel Odin-"I can destroy galaxies"-level or anything like that but still skyfather.
batdude123
A non-jobbing Martian Manhunter I actually think would win this.
MrHeavySilence
Martian Manhunter has a good chance of winning. He'd go intangible, seap into Thor's mouth/nose/ear, and then scramble the brains. Plus intangibility means it'll be extremely hard for Thor to get a clean hit with the mjolnir. J'ohn could just go Reed Richards on Thor all the time.
Crease
MM...both are versatile but MM's faster...And somehow I don't see the weather really hurting him.
Tron
I would think if he went intangible, Thor would just kick up some serious magic and make a storm or something similar all around. Don't know if it would work, but it's a good chance.
jasofisc
A non jobering MM would own anyone that was below sky father level. However the guy always freken jobers so it's hard to pin point how tuff he is. Well I give it to MM 6 out of 10
JohnR
I think Thor will win about 8/10. He might have to draw on some of his hammer's rarely used powers if MM goes intangible, but against anything else, I'd expect Thor to prevail.
Thor's stronger, tougher, better skilled, more powerful, and possibly faster.
CaptainStoic
J'onn can only keep up with Thor for 2 minutes, and then he would revert to class 20 strength, if he can somehow attain a victory in that time frame sure, but if this fight lasts longer than that MM is in trouble. Thors flight speed is greater than MM's.

I know Ares might be but when did Circe become a skyfather level?

I've seen people say that before but for the record, J'onn is always Class 100. How would you even know what Class 20 in DC actually is? Not like they have handbooks.
Adam Warlock
Thor takes it more times than not. Intangibility will not save MM.

Except Thanos of Titan. Props to The Mad Titan for putting skyfathers on the map.

The weather?

If that was all there was to Thor's powers you may have a point.... but it isn't and you don't

Because when J'onn fought Superman, he ran out of juice, and was significantly weaker... he had to forfeit the match because of his lack of stamina. J'onn has always been this way. Low Stamina means high ass kicking, that Thor will deliver once J'onns timer run out.
Avalonofthewind
Good match. I'd lean with Thor 6/10.
Jonn is not invulnerable to magic, he was burning just from touching Asmodel.
king creole
Martian Manhunter for sure,
He could just phase through the hammer throw or watever Thor can other. Then use all his other powers n demolish thor.
MM all da way
rotiart
At first... I glanced and I read this as Thor vs. Marvin the Martian!

Phasing doesn't work on Thor as well as it would against most.
Ultraman Baltan
MM wins. Thor is powerful, but unless he has fire available, I don't see him winning.
MightyEInherjar
Wasn't there a few scans around somewhere with Mjolnir hitting intangible beings? Anyhow, Thor commands a lot more elements than lightning, and fire is one of them.

Who needs fire when you got Lighting.
Brian Oswald
I know that when Shinobi Shaw tried to go intagible near Storm, she ionized the air and she said if he went intangible it would **** him up. I don't know if that would be the same for MM
What If...
but, Storm also said she would die too, and she would be willing to give that sacrafice.
Brian Oswald
Ha. Didin't remember that part. But I think with Thor's resistance to intangiblity he should fare well.
Darth Martin
MM has good chances of winning and would probably take the masjority but let's not forget that Mnjlnir can do. MM ftw.
D-Block
Thor could win this easy if he wanted to lets be real.

I thought Diana is immune to telepathy...is that a recent upgrade?
