Wow... the ending left me entirely stunned. I was very surprised at the ending. It's like they go through the events in each of the books just for this to happen. And in the end Bartiumus never gets a chance to talk to kitty again. I found the ending quite depressing. The chase Bartiumus and Nathaniel went through to protect everyone made the ending even more stunning. What are your views on this?

Please do not try to spoil this ending for others. And for people who haven't read the series I highly recomend this book, it has a great storyline and I'm not saying the ending is bad just highly surprising.
