In the pilot episode of smallville there is a part after Clark gets hit by the car that Lex is driving. When Clark is walking away from Lex he is wearing a red blanket under a jacket. It looks like he is wearing 'THE CAPE.' Did anyone else notice and do you think it was intentional?

The red blanket is intentional. Go to wikipedia and type in allusions to superman and you will see each episode and the various references to superman and DC that are in each episode.
